| Life, the Universe, and Everything is being made into a private
board on January 15th, 2004. On that date, regular users who have
not signed up for the board by that time will not be able to access
it, regardless of karma or user level (except, of course, for
Moderators and Administrators). Activated accounts created on or
before November 15, 2003 at 21:31 are eligible to sign up for LUE.
The same user level requirement will be in place (Level 31 or
higher), even if you have signed up for the board.
Before signing up for LUE, please remember the following
conditions:
- LUE is not a TOS-free board. While a small amount of
leeway is given for some controversial (but not patently offensive
or pornographic) topics that would be instantly moderated on other
boards, due to the past history of this board, anything even
remotely looking like an invasion or flood of any other online
service or harassment of any persons in or outside of GameFAQs
will be treated much more harshly.
- LUE-authorized accounts may become a liability. An account
that can access LUE may be a target for those who would access and
take over your account without permission.
- Your LUE-authorized account may not be sold, traded, or given
away to any other user. If GameFAQs finds that this has taken
place, authorization will be removed.
- Your authorization to use LUE and the board itself may be
removed at any time and for any reason. Accounts will likely only
lose access for severe violations (ones that would likely get the
account banned anyway), and the removal of the board isn't under
any serious consideration, there is no guarantee of future
service.
