Which Damage is Which?

This short page is for those people who want to know which spells do magical damage (which damages Golems but does nothing to Blue Slimes) and which do physical damage (which Golems are immune to but Blue Slimes are vulnerable to).

Note that there are certain methods that allow blue slimes to be damaged by magical damage, however, these methods rely on using certain spells which will not allow you to get a really high score, if you want to find them try experimenting. :)

Stasis is a special spell, it can damage both Golems and Blue Slimes.

Shifter can damage either Blue Slimes or Golems, depending what it shifts into, but generally it will do physical damage (if it turns into a Saurian Pyromancer its Flamejet can damage Golems and its Fire can damage Blue Slimes).

Curse can destory both Golems and Blue Slimes, although the Skeletons which it creates can only damage Blue Slimes, however, using Curse means you won't get the soul crystals from the enemies.

Although Trap won't damage Golems, it is still useful because they are unable to move for a while, making them easy targets for your more effective spells.

If you can't be bothered to print, write down, or memorise this then the general rules of thumb are:
  • Stasis is best!
  • Traps do Physical (except stasis)
  • Projectile attacks (such as flamejet) are Magical
  • Whole board spells do Physical (except nova)
