Silent Hill Four: The Room

The fourth in the Silent Hill series, Silent Hill 4: The Room begins as the protagonist, Henry Townshend, finds himself locked in his room. After a strange series of events, Henry finds a strange hole in his bathroom wall. Upon entering it, Henry is submerged into a spooky, bloody, and downright strange alternate reality.

With blood drenched walls, decaying corpses, and floating zombies, creepy images are the backround in this game. While the actual violence isn't as realistic as some games, the sheer amount and realism of the blood and gore can be a bit too much for some faint-of-heart people. According to the ESRB, this games earned an "M"(mature) rating

Below are a few examples of the graphic content of this game.

This is a good halloween game. While I personally found it slow and kind of frustrating, it can be very entertaining on a rainy day. It's hard to make a game that can balance out fun gameplay and scary/gory images. Some games may swamp the player in gore and blood, while others are so unrealistic that it's almost a headache to play. While this game isn't as impressionable on young minds (in my opinion) as games such as Grand Theft Auto and Manhunt, it still should be restricted to older and more mature teens and adults because of frightening scenes and graphic depictions of corpses, blood, and more.
