Title: Evening Visitor
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A couple of years ago, I was vacationing in Wisconsin Dells at a resort called
Christmas Mountain. I was with my soon to become ex-fiance, my sister with her
husband and baby, and an old friend. First off, the resort was beautiful. If you
ever visit the Dells, I highly recommend it.
The first day we were there, we had a blast. My Ex was able to get a two bedroom
dwelling via her parent's time-share arrangement. The room my Ex and I shared
was cosy enough, but it had two twin beds which we were going to push together
and never did (go figure).
Anyway, that night, despite the warm and comfortable surroundings, I could not
sleep. I heard several noises that night, most of which I associated to the
refrigerator on the other side of the wall. Some noises, however, just freaked
me out. My Ex was sleeping quite peacefully on her side of the room, but about
halfway through the night, strung out from noises and exhaustion, I got the
feeling we were not alone.
It didn't bother me much at first, but I slowly became more and more agitated.
Finally, sometime in the early morning, I was laying on my back and started to
feel very hot. I threw the sheets off of my bed and turned over, and not ten
seconds later, the sheets flew back on top of me! Obviously, I freaked out. I
thought maybe I had just thrown them up instead of off and after a few seconds,
they fell back on me. I tried it several times that night and I couldn't get it
to happen again.
I didn't wake anyone up but I told them what happened the next day. They only
accused me of trying to make up ghost stories. Nothing else happened in that
room that rest of the vacation, but I'll never forget that night.
