The much anticipated Warcraft III by Blizzard Entertainment is everything a fan of similar games such as age of empires, empire earth and earlier warcraft games could hope for. The campaign option for this game is incredible. You start off fighting as a human then as the game continues on you get to play as other types of creatures. Each different group has its ups and downs and unlike the previous warcraft game each almost every civilization handles tasks differently. They don't even build a building the same way. This option makes Warcraft III stay interesting after many hours of playing.

Warcraft III also has a very good custom mode which can be used to play against your friends. Beware when facing the computer because the computer has a tendency to cheat when attacking you. While you can only have one of each type of hero the computer can have many. This isn't fair but it just makes it that much more difficult. Even though the computer is a hardcore cheater, playing a custom game against the computer is still very entertaining and worth doing over and over again.

Number two in this list is Fallout Tactics. This game has been around for a while and never really took off. Although that sucks I still find this to be a very amusing game. This game is based around life in a post nuclear war world were many different creatures have emerged do to radiation an odd circumstances. This game can be played in a partial turn based manner in that when you aren't fighting you can turn the turned based system off. After fighting these creatures you may take any weapons they are carrying and use them yourself. You may also buy weapons and armor at the base.

What makes this game so great is that it is a very long game (so you won't just beat it in a week or so) and the farther you get the better the weapons and armor are and also the bad guys get more powerful to offset it. You can tell the difference in your capabilities when you attack an enemy from earlier in the game and absolutely destroy them.

This game also lets you recruit different people to be on your squad when fighting all of your foes. This can be good because not only can you upgrade the weapons your people carry, you can get new people who are actually better at yielding them.

Number three on this list is this sims. I'm not going to choose a specific version of this game because they are all pretty good. The Sims allows people to go a step farther with their gaming experience in that if you get bored with the stuff that they offer you, you can always download more stuff off of the internet. This makes the game playable for long periods of time but the best part is actually offered to you by cheating. As much as I love making a guy work his ass off the make a living and earn money, I prefer just to cheat and give him money. With this money you can build him a custom house. This is great because now you can build the house you've always wanted for your sims person. You can compare houses with your friends, family or online, but mainly it is fun for everybody.

The number 4 game on this list is a game that I really have very little experience playing because it actually is lagged on my computer. This game is a great concept though and I can see promise through the lag. In this game you can be a country or a civilization and progress through history either diplomatically, defensively, or imperialistically. If you really want to you can take a country of your choice and try to take over the world.

The best part though is the format of this game. You start off on what looks like a big risk board game and when you want to take over other pieces of land you actually go into a different mode and actually control your armies in defeating the other armies. This fighting mode looks very much like age of empires but the difference is that you have historical background for all of your units and also you have cool formations to use when you attack someone.

The number five game on this list is Enter the Matrix. This game would have ranked higher but it seems to be more caught up with telling a story versus playing the game. When you play you run around and beat the crap out of people or shoot them. This is great but it kind of gets old quick. Maybe I haven't gone far enough through this game to see where it gets difficult but from what I've seen so far you just run and click. There has been no point where I've needed to think or show any type of gaming skill. You just run up to people and click away until they are dead.

Don't get me wrong though, the story is nice and I have nothing against the movies, but I was hoping for a game but what I got was an interactive version of the movie.
