To Begin...
Legend told of three almighty Goddess' named Din, Farore and Nayru, that formed the world of Hyrule; shaped its many canyons, rolling hills, sparkling waters, limitless sands, vast forests, unruly weather and its many mysteries. When their labors were complete, they were left with a beautiful land, and no one to watch over it, for they had business in another realm.
This crisis called on the creation of higher beings, the watchers of conditions that would strike the inhabitants that were soon to prosper in the new land. And so they were to be created, and the Gods of Hyrule they were to be.
Sculpted from the hands of the Goddess' themselves, each god soon emerged from the depths of their birthplaces. Spirit, Time, Light, Dark, Fire, Ice, Water, Birth and Forest soon were given their eternal burdens. They will always be signs of ceaseless youth.
They were left to start conditions for life in Hyrule, for the lives that would soon to thrive on its many regions. After thousands of years, as races began to grow, the gods decided it was time to present themselves to each race.
First, were the Gerudo, who developed the fastest out of all the cultures. They were a race constructed almost completely out of women. They took to Shila, Goddess of Spirit, to guide them through times, as she radiated strentgh and courage to women. Thus, they fasioned themselves to be very much like Shila herself.
Next, were the Sheika people. They were dark and rather lonely, and on first meeting with Nubuis, God of Dark, they appointed him their main god, the one to look upon in times of need.
Hyrulians, the "normal" people, saw Mina, Goddess of Time as the wisest and fairest of all gods, and thought she was to be their cheif, their almighty. They believe that she is the ruler of the gods, and that they are the rulers of Hyrule.
Next there were the Zoras, fish people of the rivers and lakes. Without a doubt, they named Jacqui, Water Goddess their official ruler, and they promised never to stray in their loyalty to her.
The Kokiri children, related to Dylan, God of the Forest, as the "child" god, and the watcher of the wood, their creator and overall boss. Dylan, feeling that he himself could not only provide wisdom to the ever growing curiosity of the Kokiri, created the Great Deku Tree, minder of the children and a source of wisdom to all to assist him in his teachings.
Lastly, there were the Gorons, the rock people, slowly developing in a primitive manner to that of the other races, named Blare, God of Fire as their boss, so that he may help them with the fires that surrounded their mountian home.
The Ice Zoras, who became frozen under ice, while Ganondorf ruled and caused havoc. Stacey, Ice Goddess, gave them the power, strength and ability to survive the cold. This lead to many Zora's bodies adapting to the chills, and they could then not live without it. They inhabit the Ice Caves, were they worship Stacey for giving them life.
This left two, Birth and Light. But they were not un-praised. Calmi, goddess of Birth, was worshiped evenly by each race for providing life, as was Led, God of Light for giving people security and protecton from evil.
The Gods were happy, and all was well in Hyrule. They each experienced the joys of feeling loved and powerful, until now...when a new power as strong as their own dwells in the land. As almighty as they may seem, they cannot fight a war with a power like this alone, they must call on the Hero of Time, the only one with the courage to defeat the evil that haunts Hyrule...
