MONEY MAKERS GUIDE

It can get very confusing to know what skill to get into, and what skill fits each of us best.  Here is an organized list of the top 5 guide to skills and which is the most expensive, what is out and the cheapest to use.

TOP 5 MOST INEXPENSIVE SKILLS THAT ARE PROFITABLE

5. BAKING - This is inexpensive and quick to master when you begin. Yet in the long run, when you get to master level, it can become expensive and take up lots of time. Though you won’t make too much off of this, it is a good investment for yourself. You can make high stat foods not to mention tasty morsels that are much more filling than those icky iron rations.

4. FISHING - If you are a good fisherman and get your stats up, you can fish at places where certain fish are in demand. This is also good if you are poor and need to feed yourself.

3. BREWING – This skill only costs a few hundred plat to get to 250. Tempers and Tannin are good to get into. This can raise certain stats, especially for warriors. Not to mention the great parties you can throw when you get high enough.

2. FARMING – Most important thing to remember here is time is money!!! When mobs go green, it can become very expensive. Good things to sell here are Low quality, Medium and High quality pelts (wolf, cougar, bear etc.), Acrylia, Velium, silks, crystalline silks, threads and swatches etc are great. Before you start selling these, you might want to use them to get you own skills up if you wish to get into tailoring.

1. FORAGING – Then #1 area here is gathering Morning Dew, Oak Bark, Planer Oak, Dragon and Drake eggs, Misty Thicket acorns, and cinnamon sticks etc. off the ground. Remember not all classes have the forging ability, so be sure to check first if you want to be able to do this.

TOP 5 MOST EXPENSIVE SKILLS THAT ARE PROFITABLE

5. JEWELCRAFT – Note this skill is not at the top of the list. If you are smart it can be inexpensive. If you have decent CHA, you lose less than 1pp per successful combine on higher end items, and only a few silver in the low end. Plus the trivials are so close together that failures are rare. Compare this to fletching where 2 cam darkwood bow successes net a 40pp+ loss. You can't make much with jewelcraft and is not a viable money maker anymore. The demand isn't there and if you look at the very expensive stuff the C-T jewelry, the stats don't justify the 10,000pp price tag you see in the bazaar.

4. TAILORING – This is a very time consuming skill and can be expensive. You don’t have to have a high 200 skill though to make and sell various items.

3. ALCHEMY - This is an expensive and limited money making option but all you need to do is get 10-20 points over sow potion trivial and you can make a decent amount.

2. FLETCHING – This has become way more expensive than it used to be due to the buy back nerf. This isn’t bad once you get up to 250 and can get a decent price in the long run.

1. BLACKSMITHING – This is the most expensive skill you can get into, not to mention time consuming. The amount of in-demand items is small, but you can eventually get your 250,000pp + you spend on it.

MISC. SKILLS NOTE:

POTTERY – Making sellable items with pottery can be very expensive unless you stick to pie tins etc.

TINKERING - Supposedly very expensive, but nowadays there are lots of things that they can sell.
