You want to build the best MMOG of all time. Anyone that has played one does. We all have our ideas on how to make the perfect game. Once you get your perfect game made, how are you going to get people to play it?
There are several different ways. You can do what DAOC did and steal a player base from an already existing game. You can do what SWG did and build a player base slowly with a forum. Maybe you want to emulate EQ's success and do a little bit of both?
Whatever you decide on, make sure you decide on something! Don't make the mistake TSO made by assuming you can throw a huge amount of money at marketing and a community will spontaneously form around your game.
