  • Snipers
  • always change back to pistols after taking fire of the sniper thats makes the sniper reload faster.dont zoom in twice unless you see the enmemy. There are 2 kinds of snipers a scout and a awp.awp is a gun that hit the enmemy and kills them in 1 shot.scout is a gun that has a silence on but you got to hit the enmemy twice to kill them unless you hit hit them on the head.
  • Colts
  • never fire more then 5 times in a row.fire 3 times and the aimmer will get smaller and that will make it easiler to hit the enmemy.and when there is alot of enmemys put the silence out and if there is only 3 or less put the silence on and always aim up to the head and dont let the aimmer get big(counter terrorist guns)
  • ALKs
  • do the same thing as colt but carefully aim cause alk is harder to aim then a colt and its stronger and also aim to the head(terrorist guns)

  • this is the counter terrorist leader
  • this is the terrorist leader
    (MAP ESTATE)
  • Estate puts you in an large estate house where several hostages are being held. Counter-Terrorists will have to navigate through the grounds and into the building where the prisoners are being held, while Terrorists try to stop them.Ideal Number of Players: 6-12 Terrorist Objective: Prevent the hostages from being rescued Counter Terrorist objective: Rescue the hostages
    (MAP VEGAS)
  • Ever wanted to blow up a casino in Las Vegas? Well, now you can! The Vegas map is a detonation map set in a large casino, complete with sound effects and slot machines. Lots of places for ambushes here, so both teams must stay alert.Ideal Number of Players: 6-12 Terrorist Objective: Bomb the target Counter Terrorist objective: Prevent the target from being bombed
    (MAP TUNDRAA)
  • Tundra is a large assassination map set in the rocky artic wilderness, and has the potential for a great degree of complexity in terms of movement. One of the Counter-Terrorists will be designated as the VIP, and it is the CTs job to escort this player to one of the two "safety zones": an APC in front of the Terrorists' main building, or the helicopter in the far corner of the map. Lots of cover is provided through the rock formations, but a quicker option is to use the underground tunnels which link each major location.Ideal Number of Players: 8-16 Terrorist Objective: Eliminate the VIP before he reaches the safety zone Counter Terrorist objective: Escort the VIP to the safety zone Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: The Terrorists will likely do better by taking a defensive stance in this map. The CTs have the option to come at you from a lot of different directions, and leaving one of them unguarded to try a direct attack will probably see you losing the round. Splitting up your team is essential in Tundra, thanks to the tunnel system. Always put a few people in position before the second ladder from the CT side (the area with the stalactites), preferably with some high-powered automatic weapons. They should be able to decimate any advance from that direction, while the rest of the team takes up positions in either (or both) of the two Terrorist-controlled buildings to handle any surface presses. The rear building is probably the best choice if you need to stick to one, as you'll have more time to prepare, and there's less of a likelihood of a CT sniper taking most of your team out. Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: The Counter-Terrorists have a lot of options on Tundra, remember to use that to your advantage! You can reach the APC either through the tunnels or over the surface, and if you have enough team members, you can feint in one directions while proceeding in the other. Additionally, if the Ts start to put some heavy firepower between you an the APC, you can try to make your way to the very back of the tunnels and run for the helicopter. If you decide to take the VIP through the tunnels, pick up some HE grenades to assist with clearing out any lurking Terrorists, either in the tunnels or just above the ladder. Clearing both of these locations out will hand you an easy win, as the distance between the top of the second ladder and the APC is very short. One of the best sniping points for the CTs is right on top of your base. You'll be very visible to the Ts, but if you can wait to climb up until the rest of your team begins to provide a distraction, you should be able to pick off most anyone between you and the Terrorist base.
    (MAP TRAINS)
  • Train is a bomb map that challenges the Terrorists to bomb one of two railroad cars. Like most bomb maps, Trian consists of one central area and two starting areas --one for the Terrorists and one for the Counter-Terrorists. The central area is partially segmented, however, into two trainyards, each one with a bomb spot. Terrorists can quickly make their way to either, so the Counter-Terrorists have to rush to get in position. Ideal Number of Players: 4-10 Terrorist Objective: Bomb one of the targets Counter Terrorist objective: Prevent the targets from bing bombed Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: One route you can take is to rush up the stairs to your right. Make sure you go in a group, and have the lead person chuck a grenade over the stair rails while someone else covers your back. Once the area at the base of the stairs is clear, jump over the rail and head for the bomb area. In the first bomb area (the one near the base of the stairs), plant the bomb underneath the train car, not on top. This will make any Counter-Terrorist trying to disarm it more vulnerable. Shoot at people's legs and feet underneath the train cars. Stick together and rush one of the two bomb spots as a team. The Terrorists have the advantage if they stick together, since the Counter-Terrorists must split up to guard two bomb spots. In the other trainyard (the one with three tunnels), plant the bomb in front of the train car (not on top or underneath) and then climb to the top of the nearby building (up the red ladder). You can then listen for the sounds of the defuse kit being activated, then pop out and shoot at the exposed Counter-Terrorist trying to disarm the bomb. Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: Don't rush. Stay in the center area so that you can get to either of the bomb spots quickly. Guard the stairs leading down to the darker bomb area by crouching next to the crate in the hallway with a sniper rifle. Just watch out for incoming grenades. Buy a defuser kit. Always check an area for ambushes before attempting to disarm a bomb. Stick together and have someone cover the one defusing the bomb. The upper roof makes for a great sniping spot if you can get there before the terrorists.
    (MAP RAIL ROAD)
  • This is a very large map, the basis of which is a mountain which emcompasses a railroad which circles the map. There is also a train yard below which is accessible either through the several tunnel entrances in the mountains, or down the ladders and through the water. The objective of this map is to either detonate the bomb on one of two designated spots on the map if you're a Terrorist; or find and defuse the bomb before it blows if you're a Counter-Terrorist.Ideal Number of Players: 14-20 Terrorist Objective: Bomb the target Counter Terrorist objective: Prevent target from being bombed Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: Your objective is to detonate the bomb (if you're carrying it) on one of two designated spots: on the railroad tracks or in a train car below in the train yard. The closest detonation spot is the one on the railroad tracks; you can either run to your right from where you spawn and up and around to the detonation spot (this is the fastest), or you can go to the left and jump on a train car and either drive it as fast as you can backwards to the detonation spot (quickest way) or drive it forwards around the track to the detonation spot. There are of course several alternative routes to this bombing zone through tunnels and into the water and up ladders, but traveling across the tracks to the spot is the most straightforward way. There are lots of places for CT snipers to hole up on the mountain-side and in tunnel entrances, so always keep be on the look out. Another potential ploy CT's will obviously try to take advantage of will be sneaking up on Terrorists by riding the train cars around the railroad tracks. The second detonation spot is down below in the trainyard. There are several train cars down there, one of which will have an open car with a detonation target. You can access this spot several ways. The easist way is to go through the tunnel opening where you spawn, follow the path to the opening above the water and either jump or climb down into the water. Go forward through the water, up and out and towards the spotlight in front of you, jump down to your left and go to the first hole in the tunnel to your right. Shoot out the boards, go through the entrance and up the ladder to the trainyard. Find the only open train car and plant the bomb, but be wary of possible CT snipers up above on the catwalk as well as ones that may be hiding around the trains. Another way to access the trainyard is to take one of the train cars on the tracks to the area which has arrows pointing downwards and the word trainyard marking the inside of a tunnel. Jump down to the trainyard and plant the bomb. The same caution of watching for CT snipers on the catwalks above apply here as well. There are other routes to the trainyard aside from the ones mentioned above, but these two are the most straightforward. Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: Your objective is to either keep the Terrorists from planting the bomb, or defusing the bomb if it does get planted. Luckily, you and your CT team have great vantage points overlooking both detonation zones. If you spawn within or outside of the trainyard, make your way up to the metal walkways overlooking the railway tracks. By standing on the metal walkways, you have a great view of the bomb target in the trainyard and if you then run along the walkways and through the door to the outside, you can a have an excellent view of the bomb target on the bridge too. Snipers should find this a very useful tactic. Be on the look out for terrorist players who appear out of a manhole in the trainyard containing the open train car with bomb target in it. Terrorist players can get to this point un-noticed using their own tunnel system close to where they spawn, so if possible, always have someone guarding the trainyard! Your CT team has a LOT of sniping spots all over the map as well as a network of tunnels which will take you to various points of the map a lot quicker than having to use the train tracks to get to the various buildings and vantage points. Use these to your advantage and learn them well because with two possible detonation points, you have to be sure to check both quickly when you see that "Bomb Has Been Planted" message appear! As with all detonation maps, remember that you don't have to kill all the terrorist players to win the round; defusing a planted bomb or simply letting the time expire without the terrorists successfully planting the bomb will win your team the round too! Use Those Cars: Be sure and use the small train cars which are on the outside tracks. You can control these by jumping on them and using your "use" button. Press your forward key to make the car go forward, and your backward button to make the car go in reverse. You can either ride these cars around the track looking for unsuspecting enemy players or you can send them on their way "runaway train" style. These cars can be useful for: Great way to quickly move across the map. Distracting the opposite team as they will always stop what they are doing to see if there is a member of the enemy team aboard the car. Pushing or possibly killing a player if they happen to be run over by any of these moving cars. The cars can be driven by either team so be on the look out for your enemies to use the same tactics.
    (MAP PRODIGY)
  • Prodigy is a mainly indoor map where the Terrorists try to bomb key points at a military installation. There are lots of opportunities for close-quarters combat in this map, so be ready. Ideal Number of Players: 4-10 Terrorist Objective: Bomb the target Counter Terrorist objective: Prevent target from being bombed
    (MAP OILRIGA)
  • Another assassination map, OilRig is very intertwined and can cause a great degree of confusion for players unfamiliar with it. There is only one safety zone on the map - the helicopter at the top - and the route to it is fraught with sniping spots for the Terrorists. Additionally, there is a convergence of paths the top of the main stairs, and this almost always decides the victor of the round. Ideal Number of Players: 4-10 Terrorist Objective: Eliminate the VIP before he reaches the safety zone Counter Terrorist objective: Escort the VIP to the safety zone Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: Try not to loose too many of your team members while the CTs are on their way up. There are plenty of sniping spots for you, but don't try to be heroic - you'll probably wind up dead, and that's not something your team can afford. The top of the main stairs is where it all goes down. While the snipers get to their positions at the top, make sure to gather everyone else in and try to hurt the CTs as much as you can. If they make it past you and still have a lot of health, you'll be hard-pressed to put them down before they take out your snipers. Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: There's no great way to defend against the Ts hit-and-fade attacks on the way up, so your best bet is just to make it through as quickly as you can. When you reach the top of the stairs, hit the Ts as hard as you can (just remember to keep the VIP at a safe distance!). If you can overcome them here, you've got a very good chance of winning the round. If you make it past the convergence point, be sure to split your team up and thoroughly clear out the sniping positions at the top. Missing even one can be really bad news if a Terrorists gets a lucky shot at your VIP.
    (MAP OFFICE)
  • Office Complex pits the two teams against each other in --you guessed it-- an office building. There is an outside area where one team spawns in and which contains the hostage rescue zone, but most of the action takes place inside the office building itself. There are lots of close quarters and sharp turns in the hallways, making weapons like shotguns and submachine guns very useful. Ideal Number of Players: 6-12 Terrorist Objective: Prevent hostage rescue Counter Terrorist objective: Rescue the hostages
    (MAP NUKE)
  • Nuke features a big industrial zone with a big complex taking up most of the map. A lot of industrial crates, machinery and equipment are scattered throughout the map. The Terrorists are determined to bomb the complex, while it's the Counter-Terrorists' job to prevent that. Most of the action will take place inside the complex itself, as the Terrorists will most likely try to bomb the main hall, instead of the basement. It's essential that the Counter-Terrorists get their act together as fast as they can, because the Terrorists can reach the upper bomb spot in a matter of seconds. So be warned: Nuke isn't a map for the faint of heart, combat is as hard and vicious as it gets, once you enter the complex... Ideal Number of Players: 10-18 Terrorist Objective: Bomb the target Counter Terrorist objective: Prevent the target from being bombed Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: When you leave your spawning zone, there are two options: either you take the entrance on your left and immediately engage the enemy in the complex, or you move along to the right, where you can either try to reach the basement, or enter the complex from the rear. In case your team decides to take the left entrance, then make sure to pack a close combat weapon like the mp5, shotgun or the Sig-rifle. Always try to buy a high explosion grenade as well, since it will prove to be more than useful inside the building. Once the Terrorists enter the complex, it's essential that the Terrorist packing the bomb moves into the hall via either the small house or the door. The rest of the Terrorists should try to follow him, while covering their rear, since lots of Counter-Terrorists will arrive any moment there. Once the bomb is planted, defending it, should be fairly easy. Even if the CT's succeed in taking out all the Terrorists, they will more than likely have too little time to defuse the bomb... When the Terrorist team make the rare choice to take the route to the right, it's best to try to bomb the basement. Since you'll have to move through large open spaces, it's best to pack to a high-accuracy assault weapon. The Sig and AK47 are obviously the best choices for this, as both weapons are enormously accurate, if you burst only a few bullets at a time. Beware of the CT snipers which will probably have taken position on the high ledges and roofs of their complex' entrance. Make sure to move as fast as possible, while taking some potshots at the CT's to prevent them from closing in. If you survive the CT snipers and reach the stairways to the basement, the hardest part is over. Follow the long corridor and enter the basement either via shooting the window, or by taking the stairs down. Once the bomb is planted, be sure to focus you attention on the two entrances coming from the slope. Don't worry too much about the vents, as you will be warned by sound, when someone tries to enter them, which should give you plenty of time to get in a nice position to await their arrival ;) Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: Just like the Terrorists , there are two main routes for the Counter-Terrorists to choose from when leaving their spawnpoints. Either you go to the left around the complex, or you choose for the direct assault by entering the complex straight ahead. Just like the Terrorists, it's essential to pack a close combat weapon in case you choose for the direct confrontation. The mp5, automatic shotgun, Steyr Aug and Carbine will all do nicely, allthough, the two latter require a more defensive style of play to use efficiently. Flashbangs and High Explosion Grenades are a must as well, since they will allow you to force a breach in the Terrorists' defence when they're defending the planted bomb. Once you engage the Terrorists in the main building, it's essential to coordinate your attack well, and enter with a lot of Counter-Terrorists at the same time, because you'll be doomed, when you face a bunch of Terrorists on your own... If you like long-range combat, then the route to the left is the one for you. you can either get to the ledges and roofs by taking the stairs in the small building in front of you or you can stay on the ground and position yourselves behind the crates. Weapons of choice for this strategy are of course the AWM and the Steyr Aug. Most of the time the Steyr Aug is the best option, because in the likely case that the Terrorists attack the bomb spot in the complex, you can still go round and try to attack them in the rear via a swift surprise attack, which is nearly impossible with the AWM.
    (MAP MILITIA)
  • Militia features a big and luxurious house, placed in a rocky enviroment. There's plenty of cover for both sides, with crates and rocks positioned strategically over the map. The Terrorists hold four innocent people hostage inside the villa and it's up to the Counter-Terrorists to rescue them, while taking the bad guys out. Militia offers a great diversity of playing styles: either you choose for the vicious close quarters battles inside the tunnels and building itself, or you choose the strategic sniping game outside of the mansion. One thing is for sure, though: whatever you choose, you'll need to use your wits to do well on such a varied map as Militia. Ideal Number of Players: 8-12 Terrorist Objective: Eliminate the Counter-Terrorists before they rescue the hostages Counter Terrorist objective: Escort the hostages to the rescue zone Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: As soon as you spawn, there's a wealth of options available for you to choose from. The two main ones are, however: defend the most important building entrances or get a good position on the roof to snipe from. In case you decide to guard the main entrances, then make sure to pack a close combat weapon like the mp5, shotgun or the Sig-rifle. There are quite some spots to choose from, but the best ones are in the bar room in cover behind the furniture or at one of the tunnel exit points. Whatever spot you choose, the golden advice stays the same: patience, patience, patience... Get in cover and stay focused. do not make the common error to get too frag-hungry by leaving your cover and rushing out for frags, as this will only result in a quick death for you. If you have the patience to stay alert and keep your position , you should be able to fare pretty well. Another option is to try and counter the Counter-Terrorist attack by taking them out from a distance. Weapons of choice for this are of course the AWM, Steyr Scout and Sniper Rifle, but the Sig-Rifle and AK47 can be very dangerous as well, in the hands of a player with a good aiming skill. As soon as you spawn, you should shoot the window and take the ladder on your left. Once you are on the roof, it's best to avoid the large roof and head for the lower one at the left. Granted, your view won't be as good, but the amount of cover you receive, more than makes up for that. Once you're on the roof you should try to kneel down and zoom in, while keeping an eye on the main attack route, which lies directly ahead of you. Try to focus as good as you can, because chances are, you 'll only get a single free shot at your opponent, after you get discovered. As soon as the Counter-Terrorists notice you, it's best to start thinking about a strategical retreat, since you'll have a hard time fighting a handful of Counter-terrorists on your own. Get out of their view and only re-enter it for a couple of seconds by taking pot-shots at them... Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: There are two main options for the Counter-Terrorists to choose from at their starting zone. Either you take the entrance to your left and head for the tunnels, or you go straight ahead and choose for the direct confrontation. If you choose to head for the tunnels, then the Steyr and Carbine are the weapons of choice, because of their awesome accuracy. Especially the Steyr Aug will prove extremely powerful in the narrow and long tunnels. Flashbangs and Heavy Explosion Grenades can come in very handy as well, if you choose for the tunnel route. Either you use them to blind enemies around the corner or you try to distract your opponent for the split second required to get up to the surface again and to take them out. Once you exit the tunnels, you should enter the mansion through the window and sneak upon the rear of the Terrorists. Crawling will come in very handy here, because it makes you completely silent. This allows you to get very close to your opponent unnoticed, which makes taking them out without the slightest problem easy. If you like long-range combat, then the route right ahead is the one for you. The AWM, Steyr Aug and Carbine will all prove extremely powerful on this route. As soon as you reach the exit of the passage from your starting zone, you should keep an eye out on the enemies which will more than likely be sniping from the roofs. Try to strafe from behind the rocks, while in zoommode and take a shot or a burst of two to three shots at them. As soon as you took your shot(s), you should head back for cover, as your opponents will be eagerly trying to take you down. Another option which is possible on this route, is by packing a close combat weapon like the Shotgun and mp5 and wait until you're teammates have cleared the roof from any potential threats. It's up to you then to clear the inside of the mansion from the remaining Terrorists. Flashbangs will also prove invaluable for this kind of attacks, as it gives you an opportunity to force an entry into a room quite easily. Once you head into combat, be sure to hit them fast and hard, because you will need the suprise element to do well in these combat situations.
    (MAP ITALY)
  • Italy is a HUGE map set in the streets of an Italian city where several scientists are being held hostage. It features a good balance of outdoor and indoor areas, requiring a number of differnet tactics to win. There are lots of paths through the level, but the hostages are all held in one small building. Ideal Number of Players: 12-20 Terrorist Objective: Prevent hostages from being rescued Counter Terrorist objective: Rescue hostages
    (MAP HIGH RISE)
  • High Rise is a map where the V.I.P. must make his way through an expansive apartment complex to the helipad on the roof. There are lots of sniping opportunities here, making the roof the most dangerous spot on the map. Ideal Number of Players: 6-12 Terrorist Objective: Assassinate the V.I.P. Counter Terrorist objective: Help the V.I.P. escape
    (MAP FOREST)
  • Forest is a large map with an assasination objective. The setting is a lush green forest with lots of trees and bushes to use for cover, waterfalls, and a terrorist compound which is located in the center of the map. There are two escape routes for the VIP; one through an open gate to the left of where you start out in one of the upper waterfalls, and the second is a helicopter landing which is found by bearing to the right through the waterfall where you start out, down into the waterfall below you and up the ladder to the right, across the bridge and immediately to your right once you're across the bridge. Ideal Number of Players: 14-20 Terrorist Objective: Assasinate the VIP Counter Terrorist objective: Protect the VIP from the Terrorists Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: There are two safety zones which the VIP can escape to; one of which is easier for our VIP friend to get to and thus the zone he/she is more likely to head towards. Starting out in your base compound, there are three pathways through the maze of trees you can take which will take you to the main escape route. If you take either of the two forest paths closest to your spawn point, you'll need to be on guard for CT snipers to your left who will most likely be crouching at the other end of the map in the darkness of the trees. In order for the VIP to escape, he/she has to make his/her way through the open gate to the right so as long as you stay low and out of sight you can easily pick off the VIP as they pass by. You can also head to either of the two gun turrets near the escape gate and try to take out some of the CT's and/or the VIP, but be aware that in doing so, you'd be vulnerable for the few seconds you'd be out in the open and a clean shot for a sniper, or an easy target for someone sneaking up behind you. To get to the third path through the trees, you'll need to run left from your spawn point to the other end of the compound. When you come to the small building at the end of the compound, there will be a pathway through the trees to your right. Taking this path will get you, if you time it right, behind the CT's who will be escorting the VIP to the escape gate to the right. This is an excellent opportunity to take out many CT's and a nice vantage point for putting a bullet in the back of the VIP's head. :) Watch out for CT's though, who will use this route for the exact same reason and try and sneak up behind you as you're buying your guns and ammo :) Lol. The other VIP escape zone is at the far end of the Terrorist compound where there is a waiting helicopter. From your spawn point, head left to the end of the compound. The VIP is going to come over the bridge into your compound and make an immediate right to the helicopter area, so it's always handy to have one of your team members manning the gun turrets on the roof of your buildings. To get up there, enter the big building in your compound through any of the 3 doors - and head upstairs to the roof. If you're manning the turrets, then watch for CT's who will come through the trees to the right of the bridge and pick you off. If you have a good aim, head out onto the bridge and you may be able to get the VIP as he negotiates his way through the water and up a ladder on the other side of the bridge; the only way to get up from the water. Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: As a Counter Terrorist, you'll start out in one of the upper waterfalls with the VIP. The easiest route to take (provided you have some good snipers on your CT team), is to get out of the river by walking up the bank ahead of you and running through the pathway of trees to your left. You'll come out into a clearing, with your objective being to get your VIP to the open gate at the other end of the map. Watch out though, as the terrorist team will be laying in wait to the right hand side of the map, or they may even be manning the 2 gun turrets next to the gate. Use your snipers to take these guys out easily. The second route you can take is a little more tricky as it requires heading through the terrorist compound! From your starting point in the river, swim down the river and down the first waterfall (don't go down into the second waterfall as you'll perish), then swim to the right and climb the ladder to the bridge overhead. A word of warning here, be on the lookout for terrorist snipers or shooters along the bridge as the terrorist compound is right at the top of the ladder! Once you're up, watch out for terrorists who will either be on the ground or on the roof of one of their buildings with gun turrets. Run over the bridge, and as soon as you enter the compound make an immediate right. Taking this route will lead you to the VIP's escape helicopter. One tip for Counter-Terrorists which is effective against inexperienced Terrorists on this map, is to sneak up behind them! On exiting the river, take the pathway to the left and head out into the clearing, staying close to the right wall. You'll find a pathway through the trees which will bring you into the Terrorist compound. The terrorists spawn right at the other end of the compound (to your left as you enter the compound) and, if you're quick enough, you'll catch at least one Terrorist still busy buying his/her weapons. If not, and if there are no terrorists on the roof of the building ahead of you, simply run down to the left and you can sneak up behind the terrorists who will be laying in wait. Easy kills :) Of course, you could also enter the terrorist compound by negotiating the river, climbing the ladder and running across the bridge, but then you run the risk of being sniped while doing so.
    (MAP FOPTION)
  • An entirely indoor map with lots of dark corners and enterances to almost every room. The central bomb target can be accessed by blast doors on all sides, making guarding the bomb a nerve-wracking experience that requires some teamwork.
    (MAP DUCKS)
  • The only Counter-Strike map to really make use of water, Docks can offer some very unique gameplay. A typical hostage rescue map in every other respect, though rounds do seem to run a bit slower due to the size of the map. Ideal Number of Players: 4-10 Terrorist Objective: Eliminate the Counter-Terrorists before they rescue the hostages Counter Terrorist objective: Escort the hostages to the rescue zone Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: The Terrorists main focus in Docks is to have some guards placed near both of the hostage rooms. The upper of these offers the greater amount of cover, but the most likely entrance to the second is through the sewers, and one quick player with a powerful weapon should be able to hold their own there. If you're feeling lucky, sending a few of your teammates through the sewers immediately upon the start of a round can turn into a very painful surprise attack for the CTs. The key to this is speed - meeting up in the sewers will gain you little except a bloody mess. Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: The best strategy for the CTs in Docks is stealth. Make use of the vents which run throughout the Terrorist complex to position yourself close to the hostages without much of a fight, then concentrate your efforts on taking down the guards.
    (MAP COBBLE)
  • Similar in style and play to Dust, Cobble is another defusion map set in an ancient manor house - which the Terrorists are of course trying to destroy. Combat can occur in both the wide open courtyards and tight corridors of this map, but it is essential for the Counter-Terrorists to put their opponents down as quickly as possible, as if the Ts can get the bomb planted in the courtyard, it becomes fairly easy for them to hold it against the CTs. Facilitating this (but valuable to the Terrorists as well) are the conveniently-placed crates scattered throughout the map. In the corridors, hiding behind these effectively cloaks you in shadows, and with a buddy you can get on top of any of the two-crate stacks for a great sniping spot. Don't plan on getting comfortable though - the rounds in Cobble tend to be decided fairly quickly. Ideal Number of Players: 4-10 Terrorist Objective: Bomb the target Counter Terrorist objective: Prevent the target from being bombed Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: When making weapon choices, try go for something with long-range accuracy. You're going to have to defend a lot of ground regardless of where you place the bomb, and a high perch a little further back will make you a much more dangerous opponent. This is one map where the smoke grenades can be used to your advantage. Toss a few into the passageways as you make your way through them to help add to the confusion. Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: There is a room above the passage in the middle of the map which can be extremely valuable to the CTs early in a round, as a sniper stationed here can pick off a few of the Terrorists, and if he's lucky, they'll waste some time trying to get to him. Be sure to switch to the defensive if they take the bait though, as one well-placed grenade toss will see you decorating that cozy sniping spot. One very cool - but hard to pull off - option is available to you in the East courtyard. In the corner is a stack of crates, and if you can get three of your team-mates to help boost you to the top crate, you can get on top of the roof! Obviously, this is a great position, as you have lots of maneuverability and a great view of the whole courtyard.
    (MAP CANYON SIEGEA)
  • Canyon Siege is a large hostage map that requirs each team to cover and guard a large amount of ground. Most of the map is outdoors in wide open spaces that can be made dangerous by a skilled marksman, but there are also some interior areas as well. Ideal Number of Players: 12-18 Terrorist Objective: Prevent hostage rescues Counter Terrorist objective: Escort hostages to rescue point
    (MAP BACK ALLEY)
  • One of the more popular hostage rescue maps, Backalley involves a significant amount of strategy, as there are many different routes open to both the Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists. How the round plays out depends on each team's knowledge of them, as one well-positioned man can be a significant threat to the opposing team. Rushing through is generally a bad idea - instead try to move slowly and watch for an ambush! Ideal Number of Players: 4-10 Terrorist Objective: Eliminate the Counter-Terrorists before they rescue the hostages Counter Terrorist objective: Escort the hostages to the rescue zone Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: A good position when you're unsure where the CTs are coming from is just outside the hostage room near the top of the stairwell. From here you have a straight line of fire to the hostage room door, and if you find yourself overwhelmed, you can jump over the rail, make a mad dash through the basement, and try to cut into the CTs' backs. The brick hallway with the boarded-over doors is one of the best places for a Terrorist to take up a position in. CTs will almost certainly come through here, and one player with an automatic weapon will be able to take most of them out before they know what's happening. Just be sure to watch out for grenades. Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: When entering the main street in the map, be sure to be on the watch for Terrorist snipers in the fire escapes and on the window ledges. If you can't spot them first, you're dead. Use the windows to your advantage - you can provide some much-needed covering fire when descending from the fire escapes to the ground.
    (MAP AZTEC)
  • Aztec is a medium sized map set in a jungle excavation site. Terrorists try to bomb one of two targets while the Counter-Terrorists try to stop them. The map is full of wide open spaces that a skilled sniper can turn into a killing zone. Ideal Number of Players: 6-12 Terrorist Objective: Bomb the target Counter Terrorist objective: Prevent bombing
    (MAP ASSAULT)
  • Assault is a hostage rescue maps that puts the Terrorists inside a large garage where they must defend against two ground interances and one on the roof. This map is relatively small, so it's good for small to medium groups. Ideal Number of Players: 4-10 Terrorist Objective: Eliminate the Counter-Terrorists before they rescue the hostages Counter Terrorist objective: Escort the hostages to the rescue zone Shelter This strategy works if you are a Terrorist. On start up buy 1 HEV gren and any weapon that can fire through walls. Go to where the hostages are line all of them infront of the Hostage room door. Switch to your grenade, pull the pin, and hold down on the fire button. Once the door opens up again and you know its a CT, throw the grenade and switch to your weapon as fast as you can. If the gren does not kill the CT it will wound him enough that you can take him out easily. With the hostages infront of the door he will be unable to fire back with out losing money or maybe even kicked from the server. Submitted by Bill Ferguson Play By The Numbers When playing Terrorost with 4-7: Player 1 (sniper) go to vent and get into position. Player 2, follow Player 1, better have a close quarter gun (i.e. benelli) to protect him. Player 1 should watch these locations: North (near jeep), East (bridge), and Player 2 should keep an eye on the crate with ladders. Player 1 watch out for the left building (Counter Terrorist Snipers Could go there and take you out). Player 3 (Close Quarter)- should meet enemy at gate. Player 1 should cover you if he sees enemy. Player 4 make sure that hostages are kept. Player 7 hide in the eastern corner of vent so if your teammates get wasted, you wait and pass time (dont forget to waste the hotages if you are the Last man standing) Submitted by Vincent Ray F. Dabbay Play By the Letters Since Assualt seems like it is mainly a camper map for Terrorists, the Counter-Terrorists usually have a hard time winning, but if the Counter-Terrorists follow my simple strategy, they can win in a matter of minutes, or even seconds. The first thing you do is split the ct team into mini teams, and name them (try to pick short names that are easy to type). I suggest "a", "b", and "c" as team names. Now that you have teams, have team "a" wait in the front of the warehouse, team "b" wait above vent, and team "c" wait behind the door in the back. Now, have 1 person to leave behind and use the radar in the truck. This person will tell each team when to rush in and inform them of enemy locations. When this person says go go go, teams a, b and c rush in from all sides, trapping the terrorists inside and wiping them out. Be sure that if the terrorist team isnt all newbies to take your time when entering the warehouse. Also be extremely alert, for campers always hide in stupid or clever places. The main goal in this strategy is to ignore hostages, for I feel that in this map you will rarely have the chance to win the match by rescuing them. Other tips to make this strategy work well is to plan what to do ahead of time, and buy your weapons in the time before the match, and as soon as the match starts, go to your positions. I have used this strategy many times and it works extremely well. Submitted by Joe Veix A Whole LOT of Strategy Terrorists: The Terrorists have access to three video cameras, to look outside and check where the CT's are coming from. Many of the building walls are very thin, so rifle bullets can pass through. The "walls" most commonly shot through are the green door and the wall to its left, and the vent. Using rifles is recommended. HE grenades seem to be very effective through those walls too. Their explosion affects a radius, regardless of objects in that radius. WHen playing Terrorists, guard the garage (and therefore hostages). STAY in the garage. Never go out. Let the CT''s come inside. Considering never getting outside, always keep an eye on the 3 entrances. Stay on the 2nd floor, so you can see them fairly easily while patrolling. The little green squeaky door makes a huge "squeeeeeek" when someone tries to come in. When you hear that "squeeeek", get in position to fire at that door in order to hit incoming CT''s. Buy rifles, sniper or assault. Their bullets pass through walls, do good damage, and accuracy is good from long range. Use the scopes, aim for heads. Hide in dark areas, like over the garage door, behing the red container. Use stealth to your advantage, but remember to change spots from round to round. Counter-Terrorist: The green little squeaky door : 99% of people open it facing it so it goes inside the garage, but you must open it the other way! Face the wall, opposed to the door, walk backwards, "touch" the door and move toward the wall. If done correctly, the door should open outside the garage. This way, you can see on the right, when entering the building, and you can throw grenades too. Your best friend is the smoke grenade. It''s your best bet to get inside without getting ripped off. There is 3 ways to use it : The garage door. Throw one right in the middle of the door, so the smoke will cover all the door. When the "smoke cloud" is big enough, rush in with your teammates. The green little squeaky door. Open it as explained 2 paragraphs above. Throw one in, wait for smoke to expand and rush ! Go directy to the "stairs", and get snipers by behind. The vent. This one works a little less, because T''s are shooting like mad through the vent when a smoke grenade "explodes". Throw one in making sure it goes near the other ladder in the vent ( linked to camera room). Wait until some gun shots are heard, then go in FAST. One good place for Couner-Terrorists to go to is inside the garage, on the pile of boxes in the corner. Climb the ladder, then jump on to that pile. From there, target the little green door or the big garage door (use sniper rifle or SG-552). You can also camp on the 2nd floor in a "red area". Crouch in the corner. Check the lil'' green door. You can also stay on the 2nd floor, end of stairs. Position yourself to see the garage door, using a sniper rifle or SG-552. Also, you can position yourself inside the garage, on the dark ledge, over the garage door. Check garage door and incoming from lil'' green door. Submitted by Hexis T's at the Vent Stick Close to the ladder , and occasionally peer into the vent, throw the HE in after the first minute or so (usually the CT’s on the roof are standing around the vent entrance). If/when a CT comes into the vent, flashbang him , then start firing. The best gun to use in this situation is the ak47, because usually the flashbanged CT cause a pile up in the vent and the ak47 round will go right through the first person and into the second. Crouch at the top of the ladder leading to the second leg of the vents, This isnt the best strategy against good player, as you are likely to get killed by the grenades being thrown in by CT, but if they arent throwing in grenades, it’s a good tactic as you will get the jump on them almost everytime. Stand on top of the vent cap on the second leg of the vent (Notify your team that you will be doing this before hand so they don’t shoot it out. As the CT’s come up out of the lower vents its gonna be hard for them to aim as the only thing they can see is your head plus their aim will be impaired as they usually start firing when they are still on the ladder. The best gun to use here is the Sig552 , the zoom help to get those early head shots. Another advantage to this position is , that if u get into trouble just aim down and shoot out the cap to escape. NB: Don’t sit here too long if the match is going in favor of the CT’s as a CT might come along through another entrance and kill you from there. Submitted by .50 BMG T's at the Back Door Crouch behind the box to the right of the door , this prevents you from being seem by anyone looking through the front warehouse door, and allows you to get the jump on the CT’s coming through the door The best gun to use here is either a ump or an ak47. Ump if friendly fire is on ak47 if not, reason being is There’s usually another T’s standing to the opposite side your on and using an ak47 will probably hurt/kill Him as it will go through the door. Also, stand on top of the ledge opposite the person in strategy one, When the door opens wait a second or 2 then start firing (smart CT’s usually wait a second to c if someone is behind the door), when firing aim at a downward angle to avoid hitting your friend behind the box. Submitted by .50 BMG Front Door Crouch and the edge of the top floor and aim at the region left of the door, the best weapon to use here is an Awm or Sig552. Alternatively, stand at the left corner of the balcony and aim downward at the right hand side of the door, the best weapon to use here is a sig552 or a Para. Submitted by .50 BMG CT's and the Vents Throw 1 flashbang into the vent then immediately jump , anyone sitting in the vent/looking in the vent or above the ladder will be blinded, and will be an easy target, quickly throw the another FB up that second ladder then rush up there, Take out the guy standing on top off the vent cap. Here you have a choice of A) Going through the vent cap, or B) Going Back the other way If you choose (A) drop your last FB don’t and rush down there anyone waiting on you in that immediate area will blinded and shouldn’t pose a problem, usually anyone at the top floor wont notice allowing you to sneak up on them. If you choose (B) drop the SG down through the vent cap let it fill the room a bit then rush to the other vents entrance, most times everyone will be distracted and firing into the smoke, allowing you to sneaking up on them. Submitted by .50 BMG CT's at the Back Door Preferably with an Awm, scout, or Aug , rush to the right hand side of the entrance and kill anyone aiming for the front door, this is a difficult tactic which requires great aim to execute as you are probably gonna be going up against another Awm’er. If you succeed stick to the wall so anyone standing on the balcony closest to you wont be able to hit you allowing you to surprise them when u pop up at the end. After this is done the rest of the team can proceed with less resistance. Submitted by .50 BMG Don't Stick Together, Team! The best strategy for assualt (Counter-Terrorists) is to divide the forces. One group goes to the big main garage door, another (smaller) group to the backdoor. Basically the group by the bg door provides a diversion, shooting (while remaining covered) into the door and throwing grenades. As soon as the front door group starts in every terrorist will try to pick them off, completely diverting their attention from the backdoor. Since the front door group is not attcking (just making noise basicly) they should be safe though. Smokers help a lot there too. As soon as the front door group starts the backdoor group sneaks in (best with silenced m4's or awps) and picks off the terroists quietly. It''s incredibly effective since the Terroists think it's the noisy front door group taking their teammates out very often and don't look back at the other door. The other option is to get a para and spam shoot right through the backdoor, which is always fun. Submitted by David Adamo NikBlasta's Big Ole' Strategy Guide In my opinion, this is one of the best and most flexible cs maps. It is, however, in the hands of an experienced Terrorist team, very unbalanced. At a glance, there are three entrances. The main (garage) entrance, the back door, and the vent in the roof. I will discuss entrance (CT) and defense tactics (T) for all three of these entrances as well as camping and rushing tactics. The Garage: Many people like to rush in the garage, but it can be an imposing entrance, as one T with an awp or a sg552 can take out half the ct''s, if he is alert to the attack. If the T's are not, however, alert to your rushing tactic, you can storm the warehouse easily. Best if you can get the rest of your team to rush. An a game with a small amount of people, like 3v3, you should stick to the left side, where campers will not be able to see you, but if they''re on the red container to the right or on the catwalk to the right or rear, they can snipe you easily. If you are terrorist, you can rush out the garage with a rifle or the autoshotgun and inflict heavy losses on the unsuspecting CTs. The Vent: The most popular entrance for newbies or experienced players in small games. In large games, say above 6v6, this entrance is suicide for CTs, as Ts, sometimes as many as two or three at a time, like to camp this entrance. Oddly, many CTs run for the vent, but decide not to go in. For easy kills against unwary Ts, toss some HE grens inside. Even if you duck inside and see no T at the end, that doesn''t mean someone is off to the side, waiting to shoot through the vent and kill you quite easily, because any weapon can shoot through the vent. It is best to go to the upper vent rather than go all the way through, as it takes less time and the Ts will lose interest faster, BUT BE WARY OF CAMPING Ts, they LOVE to camp in the upper vent. Do NOT shoot the grate out, then back off as the Ts will come over and camp you out. Shoot the grate, drop in shooting. This will draw the attention of the rest of the Ts but with backup you can kill most of their team. Very good when you have other teammates come in the garage or back door in a multi-pronged attack. For Ts, you can kamikaze attack out the vent and take out some CTs that always group at the entrance to the vent. Or you can throw an HE in the vent, buy another, throw it, buy another, throw it, etc, and you will get HE kills. If you''re sitting on the ladder, be wary of CTs camping at the garage and will easily snipe you. Later in the game, the vent is a good way out as the CT will probably not be up there. If you do, watch out for the opposite roof! CTs like to camp there. They also camp over in the dark garages by their respawn, and over on the highway ramp overlooking the garage. Go look over the rim at teh garage, and see if there are any CTs camping at the garage. In my experience, the enemy never looks up... Back door: The most easily camped entrance for the Ts. Someone with a wall-piercing gun can shoot through the door when they see a CT gun clipping through and waste him. If you are CT, open the door, run backwards, toss in a HE or Flashbang then rush in followed by your team. The door may block the Ts view for a bit to your right, and to the left there are stacked boxes, this will be where a T will be camping, kill him. If you are trying to be sneaky, try not to use this entrance. The door opens loudly. Hostage rescuing: For a quick route to the hostages, drop out of the upper vent and go into the room immeadiatly. Be wary, many newbies chose to camp in here, or a if only one T is alive, he might camp in here. If not, grab the hostages. If you are confident in your skills or distance from the enemy, go down the ramp. If not, jump off the upper level. It''s only 15 damage or so but you save precious time. Don''t use the vent or the back door, run out the garage, looking up at the highway where he might be camping. Jump a lot to evade him if he snipes. Don''t get into a gunfight, try to rescue the hostages. Rushing: If you rush as Ts, rush out the garage. No other ways are feasable for a large team rush as the door is small and the CTs like to go that way, and one CT can kill your slow moving team if you try to go through the vent. The garage, you can kill the few CTs going at the garage and snipe the rest going at the back door as they will not be looking. Instant headshot kills with the sg552 or the aug are the best as they will not allow him to shoot back and will make the least noise. Don''t do this often, or they will wise up and start just waiting for you to rush out and make a "wall of steel" that you will have to run through. For CTs, a multi-pronged rush, mostly through the garage, someone throwing an HE in the vent, and a few through the backdoor is best. Toss a SG in the vent to make the Ts lag if they have bad video cards (lol). Camping: The Ts have it made for camping in this map. Grab a rifle and you''re set. Find a place on the upper level or catwalk with a good vantage point and you''re set. Sit on the ladder into the vent and wait till a CT drops down then shoot through the vent till he dies. Get an awp, sit in the upper vent, and when they come up, shoot them, one hit kill means less damage to you, if they even have time to shoot at you. If you make a habit of camping in that spot they will simply throw HEs up there till you die or ignore you and grab the hostages. For CTs, there is the obvious building above your car with the ladder.. not a great spot, as all the Ts will be looking there, but it has a great view. Better if you have two people to watch the garage and vent, than just one guy as those Ts are sneaky bastards and will come up behind you and unload a clip into the back of your head. There is also the great highway spot that overlooks the garage. You can sit over by the black part where nobody can get at you unless they come up the highway ramp, then you can snipe them, but they have to come to you first, and this is a very cheap tactic. At the bottom of the highway ramp, there is a dumpster that is also a very dark, good camping spot. All the garages by the CT respawn are pretty dark, and good until you fire a shot or the T gets close enough to spot you. Some CTs also camp the vent on the roof till a T comes out, which is kinda good, but not many Ts usually venture out of the vent until most CTs are dead. To kill T door rushers, sit on the roof above the door looking down, as I said, they usually don''t look up. Give them a few good shots to the top of the head. Submitted by NickBlasta Psyche! This strategy is for a Counter-Terrorist and a fellow teammate. When you start out, get a good medium to close-range gun and a HE grenade. Now have your teammate go up the ladder to the right, by the small door. He must guard the roof above you, and if needed, give you a helping held with the Ts below. You go over to the door and quickly touch it so it opens, and then run back to the ladder and climb about 15 feet up. What almost always happens is that a T or two come over to the door, throw an HE grenade, and then storm out, expecting you to be standing right next to the door, weakened by the grenade. But what you did was wait about one second after they threw their grenade to throw yours. If they didn''t throw a grenade, just wait there until they either shoot through the wall with their rifle or storm out. Your and your buddy''s position are ideal for hitting them in the head. Submitted by Cy Kindsfather Run Down The Clock CT's have to stay put. Just wait until the clock says something like 1:30 left. Because the T's will get upset over this and the interval between vent check-ups will get longer and longer, and some may try to rush you. Just make sure your not in front of any of the entrances, but still able to see them. And when the clock hits 1:30, or maybe even less, a coordinated attack should take place. First most of the CT''s should run in from the garage door, looking up, no grenades and try to run for coveras fast as they can. At the same time one or two CT's should take the vent, and hope the T's were all looking down at the rushing CT's. From the vent, take the ladders, and throw a flashbang to break the vent AND flash the whole room. From there, it all comes down to shooting skills. Submitted by Musse Guard It All Terrorists have to all camp all three entrances, two of the entrances, the vent and the garage door can be camped from the catwalks overlooking the garage. But the backdoor should be camped by two people, one on each side of the door. And when at the door and at the vent, look out for grenades and flashes! It's also a good tactic to put one man up the ladders inside the vent, crouching on the other vent, at the end of the duct. That way only his head will show and he'll be able to shoot EVERYTHING that makes it that far. But depending on how many players you have in the game, you should have two people on the catwalk above the garage door, two on the vent, one looking in there, one looking at the garage door and two at the backdoor. If you have less players than 6, make sure every entrance is being camped. Submitted by Musse Fun With Cameras If you spawn on the top floor be sure to use the cameras and tell your buddies where the enemy is going. Also there are CT's who love to wait on the roof, overlooking the garage entrace. With the aid of your camera you can either throw a HE grenade just where the crack is where you crouch through to get em out or fire up the good old para and shoot them. Submitted by Phil Gambino Counter-Terrorists Almost all the entrances to the main building WILL be guarded. The best bet will be to get a Colt (definitely put on the silencer for this!) and to climb onto the roof where the vent is. I suggest you have a flashbomb ready. Throw one down the shaft and look away. After it has gone off, quickly run into the shaft and look for bobbing heads. Go up the other shaft in the middle of that main one. You may want to walk backwords as you proceed down the shaft. Duck when u get into the vent area and look for any Terrorists. Blow the vent and quickly run around to the other vent opening for some easy kills. Before getting the hostages, look for more Terrorists guarding that area. Go through the hole near the Hostage door and duck right there and look for anyone moving. There almost always is someone running around or sniping right from where you are. If everything looks clear, go get the hostages but watch out for Terrorists camping in that area. Grab the hostages and go through the main entrance. You should be clear from there. If you want to, you can always camp out near the hostage room for a little bit just to make sure everything is clear. If you are slow at getting your stuff, a good idea would be to grab a sniper rifle or the Aug and go to the main entrance and look for Terrorists running back and forth. You may be killed right away depending if the other team has good snipers or not. Submitted by Evan Saunders Another Big Guide Being such a small map, gun fire erupts almost instantly. The map is desinged in a manner that leaves the Terrs. in a postion where camping/defending/sniping is their main option, they could rush outside the warhouse..but they would most likly get slaughtered by the CTs who pretty much start out with a good line of sight on the only exits/entrances. For the CTs however, their options are a little more diverse...they have 3. Either try and rush into the warhouse and take out the Terrs. before they get set into good defense postions, or camp outside and wait for the Terrs. to get bored and come out looking, or , my favorite, have a mixture of attackers and defenders. Being such a small map with limited options for the Terrs. one should not expect to rush into the warhouse alone and do anything but get killed and laughed at by many, instead one should work with sniper cover in the outside area and a team of players outfitted with shortrange combat weapons and many ''o flashbangs and HE gernades for the inside. It would be best if the snipers went with the AUG or atleast a AWM with a sold back up pistol incase the initial entry team gets wiped out. The snipers should quickly postion themselves where they have a good clear shot at the entrances of the warhouse. (i.e) Two on the roof of the building above the CTs camera truck, one to watch the back door to the warhouse and one to watch the roof vent access (one sniper, if he is quick, could do this). Another sniper should be postioned either ontop of the overpass/bridge or near the red cargo box to watch for Terrs. coming out of the main warhouse entrance (should perhaps thow a smoke gernade near the door as to distract camping Terrs. from the real entry point). The strike team (mentioned at top) should either advance to the rear door (although an obvious entry point, most Terrs. will be concentrating on the main door because of its size and the smoke/flashes going on there). Once the team reaches the door, it should be quickly opened by one member and a flashbang thrown in, then the group should rush in, remembering to watch the back of the door where a Terr. might have taken cover behind the now open door. As the door closes, the group should split, half going each way checking for hostiles and trying to take out the campers watching the front door and vents. The vent on the top of the warhouse is a death trap, every Terr. in the building has a good shot at it and once discovered, chances are your "sneaky avenue of stealth" becomes a peace of swiss cheese as every Terr. in the building openes up on it..and you, the stealthly player, gets hit by the penetrating bullets. Even though it is a death trap, this entrance to the warhouse should not be discounted, for if you happen to catch the Terr. guard looking the other way (the smoke and flashbangs at the front and rear exits) you can capitlize and infiltrate the warhouse. You, the vent man/women/cat/dog/ect. should also carry atleast one flashbang, two would be better. Upon getting on the warhouse roof via one of the two ladders, get directly infront of the vent access point. Pull out your flashbang and toss it in, when you hear it go off, run to the vent and crouch/jump as to miss the ladder and land already aiming at the head of any blind Terr. in the vent. If you survive the entry, remember to watch the next section of vent, for Terrs. like hiding just up the ladder. If its clear, go up, looking down the new section of vent because many times a crafty Terr. will be waiting at the end standing on the exit grate, so he can shoot and duck for cover. Providing there is no ambush waiting for you, go for the exit grate, and trow your last flashbang in, when it goes off, hop down and check for enemys. Now you can pick off any Terrs. still in the building camping the exits from the highground or you can snag he hostages and hope your team has taken out enough Terrs. that you can escape. Submitted by Jarett Stafford Camp the Vent Grab yourself an AWP and park your ugly butt opposite the vent on the balcony (the side with the breakable glass)so that you can shoot the through the vent back wall with the AWP down the length of the vent, its a great way to win a round if they constantly storm through the vents. (also you can have one of your teammates stand in the vent exit and wait until he gets shot at from the vent so you know they're in there). Submitted by Bailey Miller Distraction The best manouver in a small game eg 4v4 is the 'distraction'. It is a simple tactic that will almost always succeed. Run straight to the backdoor of the big shed. Open it, but do not go in, the door opening noise will alert all who are near to take notice. (an easy kill may be gotten by killing rusher T's as they emerge beforehand. Turn around quickly and climb the roof ladder. The distraction should allow some time for you to get into the vent before the T's realise where you are. You then have two options, go out into the open or go for the hostages. The best option is to throw a flashbang out into the garage and then go for the hostages. ie. to throw it forwasrd then go left into the hostage foyer vent. By distractiing the T's from where you really are you give yourself a huge advantage of surprise which can lead to a frustrated cry from a T. of "where the $%# did he come from!", as you plug them in the back. • Arab Streets is a map set in a arab village, featuring both indoor and outdoor areas. This means that a varaity of weapons and tactics will be important, depending on whether you're in the bunkers where the hostages are located or out in the marketplace that separates the two teams' starting points. Ideal Number of Players: 6-12 Terrorist Objective: Prevent hostages from being rescued Counter Terrorist objective: Escort hostages to rescue zone Shotgun! Shotgun #2 works very well on this map, especially for Counter-Terrorists. From the higher vantage point, crouch-jump on his head, "use" him, then jump onto the fence. Crouch-jump onto the nearby rooftop, taking the hostage with you. Opponents will have the damndest time finding you. Submitted by Sean Osit aka e Nore Rooftop Hijinks You can get to the roofs in arabstreets from the room in where the radio is. First go to the balcony, then jump on the line where some rugs are hanging. You need a pal to do the same. The other guy should crouch on the line next to the building, and the other to jump on him. If the roof is still too high, jump. And while your in the air, the other guy should stand up. From there your pretty much able to go anywhere, even places where you normally wouldn''t be able to go. Some pretty good sniper spots there. Submitted by Musse Rush for Position When starting as a Terroist, if you start at the spot closest to the big door that exits out the front, if you run as fast as possible to the small door that seperates the Counter-Terrorists and Terrorists you can make into the building with the broken slab of concrete before any Counter-Terrorists come around, most of the time. Submitted by Nick Double Grenade If you're on Couner-Terrorist, rush left and smoke-grenade the right hallway, then HE-flash the left corner. This gets you well inside the Terrorist base, From there, you can either go in through the window, front, or sneak in the back way. Submitted by b0mb_trAck Surprise! As a Terrorist, if you start near the small door on the bottom of the building, you can rush out to the grated door, and climb the barrels. If you manage this without being seen, then you can edge along the side of the building and take them by surprise. It works well with a mp5 or almost any rifle.
    (MAP 747)
  • Fitting the theme of Counter-Strike perfectly, 747 Hijack can be one very fun map to play. Though there's a lot of room to move around outside of (and on) the plane, the majority of the combat takes place within, so expect the action in this map to be fast and furious, as there's very little room to maneuver. Ideal Number of Players: 4-10 Terrorist Objective: Eliminate the Counter-Terrorists before they rescue the hostages Counter Terrorist objective: Escort the hostages to the rescue zone Terrorists Tips and Key Locations: If you're near the front of the plane, your best course of action is to simply rush through the terminal and hit as many CTs as you can. If you're in the rear, find a place to camp. The CTs will have a very hard time rescuing the hostages, and anyone who tries to reach the two in the rear are easy targets. Counter Terrorist Tips and Key Locations: Be sure to make use of the many entrances to the plane! The Terrorists can't cover them all, and you'll probably be able to get an easy rescue or two in (especially the hostage in the cargo area). When entering into the back of the plane, your best bet is to try the trap door in the cargo hold. Throw up a flashbang or two, then leap out with guns blazing.
