M3 Benelli Super 90
The M3 Benelli shotgun is the standard pump-action shotgun used by law enforcement and in this case, counter-terrorism. The 12-Gauge rounds deal quite a bit of damage, allowing for a straight one shot kill at point-blank range. Beware, though, since after every shot, the pump takes approximately two seconds and will leave you vulnerable to attack. Nevertheless, the versatility of this gun is extremely useful for snipers-in-training because it demands precise shooting and exact timing.
Benelli XM1014
The XM1014 is an M3 on steroids, holding it's place as one of the game's deadliest weapons. A lone newb could wipe out a whole party with this baby as it packs quite a punch and won't hesitate for a second to send you to the grave. Being an automatic shotgun, the 12-Gauge rounds are extremely deadly at close range, as it will allow for extended damage and a heightened rate of fire. Many times have I seen a group of seasoned players rush into a terrorist compound with these babies only to win flawlessly.
H&K M(achinen)P(istole) 5-Navy
The MP5 is the all around weapon of choice in Counter-Strike, creating a sense of equality between beginner to advanced. It's versatility is unmatched, as it is both accurate and effective in the ways of war. The thirty round clip leaves little to be desired of the weapon since an ample eight rounds can silence opposition. Being also inexpensive, every legend of Counter-Strike has had roots with this submachine gun. Let it's bullet pierce the hearts of many and it's name be worthy of the utmost respect and claim.
Steyr T(actical) M(achine) P(istol)
Don't confuse this weapon with the MP5, as it may cost you a round and some serious put downs. The Steyr TMP is a weak SMG, having a silencer as a permanent mark. It's nothing more than a fast firing Glock, to say at most. It just doesn't contend with the power that the rest of the weapons have to yield, and if you're low on money, seek an alternative, such as the MP5 or the Desert Eagle. To sum it up, it is weak and ineffective, making it the second most underused weapon in all of Counter-Strike.
H&K U(niversal) M(achinen) P(istole)
The UMP is basically a bigger USP that is turned into an SMG with a bigger price tag slapped onto it. Like its "pistolian" brother, the UMP is weak at long range, as it should be used for close to medium corridor battles. However, to control this weapon is not to shoot to the chest, rather, aim for the neckline. I say this because chances will be very slim for anyone to experience close corridor battles with this weapon. As with the TMP, if you don't like it, there are more guns out there.
Ingram Mac-10
This gun is BAD! It is the bane of my existence! Not only does it fail you in every possible scenario, but the cost for the bullets is astronomical (purchases in cases of 12....a la USP). Nevertheless, the only good use for this is that it looks like a Terrorist weapon. It's cheap, it doesn't work, I mean, who could ask for more of a gun that's more Terrorist-ish?!? My quote for the day, "Only masochists....should ever consider [using] this pile, but for everyone else, stay the hell away!"
FN P90
The FN P90 is an SMG that tries to act like a machine gun all in all. It's large clip asks of the player to take aim and spray like you have never sprayed before. Headshots won't do for this weapon, but rather, aim for the chest and hold down fire, watching as the recoil kicks up and the bullets puncture the torso of your opponent. Ammunition isn't really a key, but it might be due in part to the weapon's weakness. The weapon is fairly priced, yet all in all, it's unique unto itself.
