Details:  All levels of players are welcome!  Sets and boards will be provided.  Please bring a chess clock if you have one.  If this is your first tournament, please read the Competition section of the Chess Odyssey web site for preparation, and if you still have questions email Pete.   Half-point byes (intentionally missed rounds) are available if requested in advance (once again, notify Pete via email); otherwise, please plan to play all rounds.  We will be selling pizza by the slice and limited concessions [snacks and drinks] at the tournament site.  For those coming from out of the area who need a place to stay, Extended Stay America on Eider Court just off 185th near Hwy 26 will give a two-person rate of $54.99 for a kitchenette suite over the 11/18-19 weekend [mention this tournament at 503-439-1515 or 1-800-804-3724] , or search Hillsboro or Beaverton at Expedia for other possible accommodations.

Entry Fee:  $22 if received by November 10 (includes t-shirt);  $28 at the door (does not include t-shirt).  U.S. Chess Federation membership is required, but is available through Chess Odyssey.  USCF membership fees have recently been reduced to $17 for age 14 and under, and $23 for ages 15-19.  USCF members receive Chess Life  magazine, a national rating, free online chess at chesshall.org,  and other  benefits.
