WebTv Friendly Picture Frames



  1. The picture frame was W=232 x H=286.
  2. The picture is W=153 x H=181.
  3. The interior of the frame was W=174 x H=186.
  4. I subtracted 153 from 174 & got 21.
  5. I subtracted 181 from 186 & got 5.
  6. I subtracted 21 from 232 & got 211.
  7. I subtracted 5 from 286 & got 281.
  8. Hence the table & picture frame size---W=211 x H=281 !!!
  9. I resized the picture frame to W=211 x H=281
  10. I uploaded the new picture frame to my account & used it to put the picture in.
  11. I sized the table the same size as the new picture frame.(W=211 x H=281)

  • If a picture is bigger than the interior of the picture frame resize the frame bigger so the interior is bigger than the picture & then reduce its size.
    This makes the math easier.

  • If you are having trouble understanding how to get the interior size of your picture frame,this tutorial will explain how to do it.

    Here is a picture frame & the cropped out interior.
    The frame is W=300 x H=300

  • With computer image editing software or Image Magick or My Imager when you crop out the interior,the cropped out portion is a new image.
    Its size is displayed in the information bar at My Imager.
    Finding size with a computer is easy.It needs no explaining.-But you click on "properties" or half a dozen other options.

  • Here is Bill The Cat in the frame.
    Bill is W=218 x H=191.

  • Chainsaw Bill was pretty close to 218 x 191 to begin with so there was little distortion in resizing him.
    A lot of times the frame needs to be resized instead of the picture so the picture doesn't get too bent out of shape.-( like Bill's face )

With practice & a computer I made this:

  • Here are some picture frames for you to use.

    All these picture frames will be .jpg files so WebTv people can use MyImager to resize them & crop out the interiors to get the interior size without losing quality & getting a small file size.

  • Webtv's Pagebuilder image URL's need to be altered to work at MyImager.

    It came to my attention that if one has an image on Webtv's Pagebuilder & tries to use MyImager one may get "OOPS INVALID IMAGE".

    This is because of a redirect code used by Webtv.
    The ACTUAL URL is different than this example:

    Reload this page if the horse does not appear.
    ( My horse now.I transloaded it. )

    The grammer of the programmer at this tool site speaks for itself.
    Be that as it may - The point is to add the new information to the Pagebuilder URL.
    That is - the @ sign & the following numbers & such letters as displayed in the image above.

    Not THESE numbers & letters !!!

    Each image has its own address.Use a little common sense please.

    Copy the new longer URL & paste it in the HTTP textarea at MyImager & it should work just fine.
    The Pagebuilder image should load & you will be able to manipulate it.

    ( Crop it - Resize it - Whatever )
