"Plot"
The story is based on a "tech" civilization that is trying to eliminate the ways of the Mythical. The Mythical have no needs for weapons or armor as they use magic. The Mythicals are dragons that rely on the energy of the gods and will try to defeat the advanced humans. Both humans and dragons finally battle it out in a climatic battle. Though the humans are loosing the humans decide to drop the "device"(a bomb) on the battlefield hoping to take out the dragons. The "device" ends up taking out the entire world. As only few survive, but are all hybrids and cripples.
You take on the role of a young man who wakes up in his isolated house, not even being efected.
Weird armor like "escaflowne" is an example of what the "advanced humans" were like.(shown here)
