This is a game from the first round of the 2002 Summer competition between John Haden (100) and somebody with a rating of 145, who will be called A.N. Other because of the following converstaion:
"Me: Okay I'll put that on the website"
"Steve Kimberley: Just don't mention my name"
"Me: Okay, I'll put A.N. Other"


Just play this through and see the skill with which the Knight at the end protects the b pawn. A brave move, showing his disdain of the childish checkmate that followed. That is true artistry.
