SILVER AGE LOGS
[ Iguana Rocks The House! ]

Nyams stands for Eats in the Jamaican common language of Patois. A large section of the restaurant is a stage set for musicians who play at all times of the day and night. The beautiful sweet melodies of reggae music made popular by Bob Marley carry on out and over to the street. Jamaican flags, pictures of Kingston (Capitol of Jamaica), and portraits of the National heroes of the country are hung around the restaurant walls. To order food, one simply goes over to the counter and inform the cook of the meal one desires. Then a person will bring the food and drink to the patron when ready. A large chalkboard menu is off to the side for one to view. While waiting for food, one can enjoy the sounds of the reggae band and drool at the delectable aromas streaming out from the kitchen. The many tables and chairs are almost always full as this is a very popular eatery. Sometimes there will be no band playing. On these occasions, there will be a large television set in the band's place for the patrons of Nyams to watch the soccer and cricket games.

There is a large crowd that has gathered for the change in music today at Nyams. Usually there is a reggae band playing, but tonight it will be Johnny! The delicious smell of food fills the area while Johnny is setting up. The stage is a little small but fits all the required equipment. More people drift in as Johnny is about to start...

A large crowd has gathered for Johnny! Usually they play reggae music here, but tonight is special. Tonight, they have Johnny! While waiting for the music to start, people order food and the aromas of delicious jamaican food fill the restaurant.

Thunderstrike isn't really here for the music, per se, although that's always nice. He's just finished a long set of grading and he sits down at a table. After a few minutes he flags down a waitress and oders a steak and a ginger beer. The waitress gets Thunderstrike his beer first. He'll have to wait for the steak. Meanwhile all eyes are on Johnny...

Johnny smiles and pauses for a moment to look at the growing crowd in the restaurant. He speaks quietly with his band mates as they finish setting up the instruments. Taking the microphone off of its stand, he taps it a couple of times, checking it. "Hey! How's everyone doing? Are you ready for some music?"

The people at the restaurant clap and shout showing their interest.

Thunderstrike hehs and raises his beer, taking a sip, then clapping along with the crowd.

A man in the back shouts out, "Let's have some Rock an Roll mon!"

Johnny smiles broadly and signals to his band to start playing. Recognizing Thunderstrike, he nods to him and grins. "All right!" He and the boys begin a set, playing a cover of "My Generation" by the Who.

Thunderstrike leans back in his chair, enjoying the warm breeze and the music.

The crowd quiets down and enjoys the music while eating and drinking. From time to time, one can see the cook come out to listen. Hmm... Maybe that's why Thunderstrike's steak is taking so long.

The band kicks off a second set, playing an original song. Johnny smiles all the way through the singing, walking/strutting back and forth across the stage. He never misses a chance to stop in front of people who are particularly enjoying the music and gives them a bit of attention.

Johnny's music brings many onlookers outside of Nyams. They stand outside to watch and listen.

Thunderstrike sees the waitress carrying his steak plate... She has to maneuver a long scenic route to get to Thunderstrike, though, because of the crowd.

Johnny pauses momentarily and holds a hand up to the band. They stop playing after a moment and look at him questioningly. "Hey..." Johnny points to the outside of the restaurant. "Is everything alright out there?" He pushes his rose-tinted sunglasses up to his forehead to get a better look.

Thunderstrike taps his fingers on the table, but then takes a look at where Johnny is pointing...?

At that very moment the waitress with Thunderstrikes steak passes by the entrance of the restaurant...

A scaly arm strikes out and knocks the plate from the waitress's hand. Ahh.. The steak.. is soiled and on the ground...

Thunderstrike stands up and begins to walk over, to see if the waitress is okay, and to investigate the odd arm. "Hey, what's going on over there?" The Waitress shrieks and the crowd doesnt seem to be to bothered at the moment. Perhaps they think this is all part of the act? The waitress looks over to Thunderstrike and then back up to Iguana. "I'm.. sorry...", she replies and quickly tries to clean up the spilled food.

The Iguana stands before you and looks directly at Johnny. He hisses, "You... You Capitalist Pig! With your filthy music! I can bear it no more! I shall put an end to your Musssssicc... *Hiss*"

Johnny flicks his sunglasses back down and moves to the mic stand. "Guys, you might want to get back." He leaps off of the stage and makes his way towards Thunderstrike's table. "Hey man! What do you think you're doing, ruining perfectly good steaks? More importantly, interrupting my band's set?" His voice carries through the restaurant clearly, his voice sounding amplified without any external assistance.

The band members retreat back... The crowd seems to be a little scared now. You can see some people trying to get out from an emergency exit... The restaurant owners are trying to get them to pay first.. It's going to be chaos...

Thunderstrike looks at Iguana, "Son, you've just ruined my dinner. I don't want to have to do something rash here. You don't like the music? Don't listen. Go somewhere else for entertainment."

Iguana hisses back at Thunderstrike, "Shut up, stupid yankee." He then leaps over some people and swings a spiked tail at Johnny!

Johnny leaps backwards and avoids the the treacherous spiked tail.

Thunderstrike calls to Johnny, "Try to get the crowd under control! The last thing we need is a stampeed!" The winds around him begin to whip up and he calls out to Iguana, "Listen here, you punk. You keep swinging that around, someone's going to get hurt. And it's likely to be -you-." He flies over to be right next to the lizard-y one.

Johnny backs away from the large, scaled figure. "Everyone, please exit the restaurant in a calm..uhm, orderly fashion!" His voice is once again amplified by seemingly personal means. He points to Iguana. "You better listen to Thunderstrike there, man. If you didn't like my music, you'll definitely hate what's coming up."

Iguana hisses at Johnny some more. He seems to not care much for Thunderstrike at the moment. He tries to spike Johnny once again with his tail!

The tail smashes through a wooden chair. Iguana hisses angrily... The crowd step on each other as they try to leave. The owners still trying to get their patrons to pay before leaving.

Johnny jumps back from the second tail strike of Iguana's. "Woah!"

Thunderstrike raises his hand, "I'm sorry. First you ruin my steak, then you don't listen to me. I didn't want to have to do this to you, but..." A roll of thunder is heard....

Johnny grins and says, "What's wrong with you, anyway? You're the kind of guy who always has something to complain about! If you don't like my capitalist music then don't...LISTEN!!!"

Johnny's voice rises to an unnatural volume as he emphasizes the last word. The ensuing shockwave throws the disgruntled lizard man out of the restaurant's front entrance.

Thunderstrike flies out after the Iguana, hovering above the lizard. He calls out, "People, stand back. If this one moves, I'm going to have to unleash some lightning into him. I'm accurate, but I'd prefer if you didn't get lizard bits on you." He then looks down at Iguana, "You haven't done anything majorly illegal yet. You might want to just give up now. Save yourself a deep-frying."

The Iguana looks up at Thunderstrike and gets up. He looks around and sees Johnny approaching... The lizard villain snarls, "Defeat at the hands of Captain Victory... Defeat at the hands of you two capitalist pigs. I cannot believe it.. Two against one. You Yankees can only beat me by ganging up! Watch your back Johnny! I will get you!!!!" WIth that he tries to leap away, knowing that he cannot defeat the two heroes.

The crowd is being stopped by the owners trying to get them to pay for their meals.

Thunderstrike lands, and begins to tell people, "All right, crisis averted. Please don't leave without paying." He smiles and laughs, "You see what happens to people who break the laws around here. Johnny? I think we might like some more music?" He also makes sure to tip his waitstaff heavilly for their inconvenience, as long as he can get another steak!

Thunderstrike will also take a minute to phone the police, let them know what happened.

The owners gladly get Thunderstrike a chair and table and have him wait for another steak. Thanks to Johnny and TS, the danger is averted and the food is on the house today! The owners already called the authorities... But another call won't hurt.

Johnny makes his way to the front of the restaurant. "Sounds good to me, Thunderstrike."

Johnny returns to the stage after making sure that everyone's okay. Soon the music starts up again as the patrons dine on their savoury meals.

All seems good again at Nyams.. But Iguana has fled. The police come in and take statements. Will the Iguana strike again? He seems not to like Rock and Roll, but everyone else does!

Johnny and his band finish several other songs, varying from rocking Led Zeppelin influenced numbers to more calming acoustic songs. They take a break and order some steak from a cute waitress!

The cute waitress gives Johnny and his crew food and loving. "Thanks for helping out and saving us, Johnny!" She gives the man a peck on the cheek.

Johnny and his band mates accept the food and loving with open arms.
