Possibly setting some kind of record for turnaround, the
Kansas City Tornados today announced the hiring of Joel
Veeneman, local resident, as manager and COO of the Tornado
franchise. The move comes less than 24 hours after Joe
Leonard walked away from the franchise for the second
time in 20 months.

Guys, Joel's a veteran player and a good guy. He brings the total of TBA veterans in NASA to 5, and, knowing his aptitude, will make the league much better. Welcome aboard, Joel!

He takes over effective season's end. He can enter the trade market immediately. The details of Kansas City's last 20 games and playoff appearance will be worked out imminently.

On other fronts, look for a bunch of results from Kenny this weekend. His thesis is just about in, and he'll be plowing through a bunch of home games while watching USC trounce Notre Dame.

Also, I'm still on the lookout for a manager to take over Havre de Grace. If anyone has a candidate with a taste for masochism and lots of patience, let them know we have a wonderful opportunity for them.

October 31 is still the goal, people, but I'm not seeing a whole lot of results: let's start cranking!
