Youth teams beat Kavallieri

Men's U/16 League: Kavallieri - University (11-21)

The U16's team strtaed off their second round commitment more determined to obtain some pionts. In fact from the start of the match the university side looked determined to get all 3 pionts from this match. Through a relativly better display of handball they ended the first half with a 6 goal advantage.

During the second period they increased their rythm and increased the lead to 21-11 with Stefan Desira ending up as University's top scorer on eleven goals followed by Daniel Dimech on six goals.

Men's Promotion League: University - Kavallieri (19-17)

In the second game, the university side seemed that they were going to loose once again. After a slow start where the Kavallieri side led by an 8-3, the team increased there pace and began to react. In fact by the end of the first half they trailed by two goals.

During the second period the team came out more determined to get all 3 points. Fifteen minutes from time, the University side went up by one goal. Kavallieri started to loose there heads and due to this Jean Pirotta was sent off for unsporting gestures towards the crowd.

The University team then increased their lead to two goals and that was the way the game end. This was the Promotions side second victory against Kavallieri.
