Girls' Junior League: Kavallieri - University (9-10)

Following the great improvements during the women's championship league, the team stepped foward once again to finally claim the merited 3 points. These three pionts have mean that now the team can challenge for the final honour: winning the promotion league.

The game was a very balance one with the two teams fighting neck to neck for the one goal advantage. In fact the first period ended up in favour of the opponents by a single goal.

During half time coach Stephan Vancell must have done his work pretty well, as the University side came out more determined and in less then two minutes scored there first second-half goal. They continued to increase there lead to 8-7 as Kavallieri started to trail behind. Kavallieri drew level through veteran Nadia Haber. But the game ended in favour of our team as they scored there last goal 26 seconds from time. The opponents last attempts were futile as the game edned 10-9 in favour of the University side.

Now the team is looking foward to their encounter against Aloysians so that thier title hopes widen. Good luck to all the girls.

Men's Championship League: Aloysians Prominent - University (24-23)

In the second encounter of the day the University team went out with their heads held high. They lost with a one goal difference which was scored in the last minute of the game.

The team showed greater improvement and started the match in a fine manner. During the first period the team went up on several occasions and at one piont were two goals ahead. The first period ended in favour of Aloysians as they scored a last second goal.

By the twelfth minute of the second period the score was deadlocked at 18-18 while within minutes University raced into a 21-18 lead. But then Aloysians started reacting and drew the terms level to 21-21. From then on it was a neck to neck affair till the final minute were Aloysians scored the final goal while the University side failed to score in the dying minutes of the game.
