Frequently Asked Questions |
MMBN-related Questions:
How do I open the last door in NumberMan's stage? I need the SchoolID! |
Megaman Battle Network is designed so that some emulators get stuck on that part of the game. Either buy the game, or switch emulators. There are emulators at Gbxemu.com that work with MMBN.
Are there any cameo appearances in Megaman Battle Network? If so, where are they? |
Yes, there are many cameo appearances in Megaman Battle Network. There's a poster of Vile (from the X series) in Higsby's chip shop, behind the counter. There's also a poster of what appears to be a Servbot in Dex's house, as well as a Servbot toy in Mayl's room. The rug in Dex's house has pictures of Servbots on it, too. There's another poster of what appears to me more of those loveable Servbots in the ACDC Metroline station. Plus, the patterns on the rug in Lan's room are Servbot faces! I guess MegaMan Legends is popular in ACDC Town. :)
Where's the "WWW PIN"?
You get it from Dr. Froid in the Waterworks, after defeating ColorMan.
What are the codes for the doors in NumberMan's stage?
There's 09 chairs in Room 5A, 30 volumes of History of the World, and 15 doors in the entire school. The rest are randomly generated and change every few tries.
Where are PharoahMan, ShadowMan, and Bass?
PharoahMan is found in a dead end in Interet Area 12, and you need to be at level 70 or higher for him to appear. ShadowMan is located in Area 15, and your library needs to have at least 140 different chips in it. Bass randomly appears in Area 16, and you need to have a star (beaten the game at least once), level 70+, and 174+ different chips for him to appear.
Ho do I get the Bass (Forte) chip in MMBN?
As far as I know, Forte, "Chip #176", can only be gotten during special events held by Capcom of Japan.
Where are the Version 2 and Version 3 incarnations of the bosses?
The Version 2 bosses are located in dead ends in the Internet. The Version 3 ones randomly appear after defeating their previous versions. Some V2/V3 bosses (such as MagicMan and Bass) require you to have beaten the game at least once.
I need help with the battery puzzle in the Power Plant!
To answer this question I'll make up three imaginary socket grids: Grid 1, Grid 2 and Grid 3, and we'll imagine the good sockets have signs beside them that tell you what color light they power. First, go get three batteries from the program (the little green guy). Then go to Grid 1. Put batteries in the Red and Green sockets and move on to Grid 2. At Grid 2, but a battery in the Blue socket, then run back to Grid 1 and take out the batteries in the Red and Green sockets. Go back to Grid 2 using the Blue path, then take out the battery in the blue socket and have another program on that grid recharge all the batteries. Repeat this process until you're at Grid 3. If you're having trouble finding the right sockets in the game, try using the Maps to help you find them.
Is there any easy way to tell which fin is the real SharkMan?
Yes. Some Navi chips (such as SkullMan and ShadoMan) do it for you. Also, SharkMan is always in the middle at the start of the battle.
