Here are some of the Rules
& Regulations that ALL members must follow and abide by. Violations
of many of these Rules and/or Regulations will result in expultion from
the club.
- Passwords are personal
and should not be shared with another or “hacked”. Attempts to log
in to the system as any other user will result in cancellation of
user privileges.
- Do not send abusive messages
to anyone.
- Do not swear or use vulgarities
or any other inappropriate language.
- Do not reveal your personal
address, phone or credit card number or those of anyone else. All
communication and information accessible via the network should be
assumed to be private property. Note that electronic mail (e-mail)
is not guaranteed to be private. People who operate the system do
have access to all mail. Messages relating to or in support of illegal
activities may be reported to the authorities.
- Do not use the computer
in such a way that it will disrupt the use another person’s computer.
- Vandalism will result
in cancellation of your privileges. This includes, but is not limited
to, the uploading or creation of a computer virus or any activity
that intentionally corrupts individual programs, data, or the network.
- No pornography, or any
other profanity of any sort.
- No attempts at hacking
another person’s computer!
- If you’re are in ISS/OSS
(alternative school) you are banned from the gamers club until you
are out of ISS
- If you are failing more
than 1 class you will be first put on probation until grades are brought
up, second offense will result in probation from the club for the
remainder of the six weeks or until grades are brought up (teacher
proof is required), third offense you are expelled from the club for
the remainder of the semester (with no refunds, or release of obtained
rights).
- Group leaders can only
be expelled by group vote
- A member can be removed
if just causes found by the club are presented
- Match ups for competition
are split up by skill levels.
- Lunch detention does not
count as ISS but does result in temporary expulsion from club if club
meets on activity period. (Ex: Joe Smith has lunch detention on Tuesday,
he cannot attend club meeting on Tuesday morning).
- Group members cannot exceed
5 or be below 3
- NO OFFENSES ON SCHOOL
PROPERTY
- Any money issue will be
voted on by the club
- School passwords will
be strictly prohibited from members and only allowed to the advisor
and advisee.
- Guest pass and guest admission
will be charged at LAN gatherings
- Special Events may require
parent’s release (ex: paintball wars, BMX/Skateboard parties, etc…
- Raise money to help fund
club or raise technology level at Madison High School
- Stealing will result in
immediate banning of the club and may also result in law enforcement
involvement.
- Respect others under any
circumstance, and follow rules!
- Have fun and work hard
to educate yourself and others about computers.
- Each person joining the
club must present current grades and keep information on their status
with any failing classes or ISS conference on the ‘Club Member Information
Sheet.”
- No student will be allowed
to leave class for any club purpose unless approved by the teacher
and the advisor of the club
- Any member of the club
may be removed by the club with a majority vote and must present evidence
supporting their reason trying to remove member accused.
