Ede HullockAppearanceEdith is 5' 4" (162 cm), 8 stone 7lbs (119 lbs; 54 kg) with grey, straight hair and brown eyes. When the players encountered time-travelling druids, and the time-cops who were trying to maintain the ‘normal’ time-line, the personality and memories of sweet 65 year old widowed Mrs Edith Cooper changed. Even after time returned to normal, she is still different. Now she calls herself Ede Hullock (her maiden name) and has mementoes from 'Grannies against Greenham Common'. Gone are the sensible court shoes (typically from Clarks), pastel coloured skirt and jacket with contrasting blouse (typically from House of Fraser), and camel-coloured three-quarter length coat (typically from the Edinburgh Woollen Mill). Now 14-hole bright red Doc Martens peep from beneath a long dark green velvet skirt and her large multi coloured knitted sweater is partly covered by a (smelly) Afghan coat. And she's become a chain-smoker! The only thing that remains the same is her handbag. Born in 1937, Edith Hullock married John Cooper in 1958. She had been born in the inner city area of Fernside of Dearlcastle, but the couple moved to the suburb of Haverington after their marriage. They soon had two children, a daughter Elizabeth born in 1961 and a son, John, in 1964. However, their home life was anything but idyllic. Edith became increasingly afraid of the way that John wanted to control every aspect of her life. She finally left her violent husband in 1966, a baby clutched in her arms and a frightened toddler following her. The life as a single mother transformed Ede, awakening her magick. She became involved with the women’s movement, the environmental movement – a completely different way of life from her conventional working-class upbringing. Her daughter Elizabeth is now married herself and has two teenage children. Her son, John, is unmarried, and has some sort of business in Dearlcastle. Ede eventually rented a house in Little Totterington because of its magickal atmosphere, and the other mages that live there. Jeffery tolerates her but Grace sees her as a kindred spirit.
