Pilots and Units
Pilot: LISA
Scenario: Episode 4, Super Robot path
If Ryouma has 5 kills before the end of the battle, Lisa will become your ally at the end of the stage. You can start using her in Episode 9B.
Pilot: AINA
Unit: APSARAS
Scenarios: Episode 6 and 7
Have Shiro use the "Convince" command on Aina in Episode 6. Make Aina the last remaining enemy unit in Episode 7, and she'll join you.
Pilot: MIYUKI SAOTOME
Scenario: Episode 7
Have all three Getter pilots "battle" with her and Ryouma will be able to use the "Convince" command to recruit her. The guide doesn't say anything about the need for any of the bosses to be alive so I don't think that's a prerequisite.
Unit: MINERVA X
Scenario: Episode 7
With the Dragonar 3 unit present (you'll need its jamming abilities), have Kouji convince Minerva X while Ankoku Daishogun is still alive. It will be a non-playable unit at first but will be playable after the stage.
Unit: CHAR'S GELGOOG
Scenario: Episode 7
Destroy Char's Gelgoog and Char will ditch the unit for your grubby paws to take after the stage is over.
Unit: FULL-ARMOR GUNDAM
Scenario: Episode 8
If Amuro has more kills than Sayla before the end of the battle, you'll get this unit.
Unit: G FIGHTER
Scenario: Episode 8
If Sayla has more kills than Amuro before the end of the battle, you'll get this unit. It seems you'll also get this unit if they have the same amount of kills. (The book doesn't say anything about a minimum kill requirement, but just for Sayla to have more kills.)

Unit: MASTER GUNDAM
Scenarios: Episode 8, 17C, 19 and 29
Based on some of the other guides I've seen, recruiting Master Asia seems complicated but the guidebook says you only need the following simple requirements:
Pick the Earth Route in Episode 8.
Pick to go to Episode 17C (Guinea Highlands) from Episode 16.
Recruit Allenby in Episode 19.
Domon must have 30 kills by Episode 29.
The book makes no mention for the need to kill Master with Domon every time, although that will likely be the case with most people anyway because of the high damage Domon deals.

Unit: GAI'S AESTEVALIS
Scenario: Episode 9A
Have the Nadesico, Akito and Gai safely navigate this stage.
Pilot: LALAH SUN
Unit: ELMETH
Scenarios: Episode 11A and 12A
In Episode 11A, have the following fights: Amuro vs. Char, Amuro vs. Lalah, Sayla vs. Char and Sayla vs. Lalah. Destroy Char in Episode 12A and Amuro will be able to use the "Convince" command on Lalah.
Pilot: MUSASHI
Scenario: Episode 15
Ryouma must have 15 kills by this stage.
Pilot: TEKKAN ONI
Unit: MECHA TEKKAN ONI
Scenario: Episode 15
If Tekkan Oni remains alive after the battle, he will join you. Great pilot for any of the locked Getters too.
Pilot: FOUR MURASAME
Scenarios: Episode 16 and 18
Have Camille "Convince" Four in both episodes. If you get Four, you won't be able to get Rosamia. (Incidentally, if you can get your hands on DNA Media Comics' Super Robot Taisen A Yonkoma Kings comic book, there's one funny little strip in there about Camille having difficulty fantasizing, er, deciding which of the two to recruit.)
Pilot: ROSAMIA BADAM
Scenarios: Episode 16 and 18
Have Camille "Convince" Rosamia in both episodes. If you get Rosamia, you won't be able to get Four.
Pilot: IKKI BROTHERS

Scenarios: Episode 17A
Just take the first route after Episode 16 and its yours. My guidebook's encyclopedia lists two versions of this; one looks like a frog and a stronger version that looks just like Combattler V.
Pilot: KOCHOU ONI
Unit: MECHA KOCHOU ONI
Scenario: Episode 17B
Take the Camp Big Falcon path after Episode 16. Have Ryouma fight with her to trigger an event. Ryouma will be able to use the "Convince" command after that.
Pilot: ALLENBY BEARDSLEY
Unit: NOBEL GUNDAM
Scenarios: Episode 18 and 19
Have Domon use the "Convince" command on Allenby in Stage 18 (According to the guidebook, you can apparently destroy her and get her V-Up [W] without affecting the recruitment process). Then, in Episode 19, have Rain use the "Convince" command on her first, then have Domon use "Convince" as well. Then have Domon destroy her using anything except a map weapon and she'll join you after the stage.

Scenario: Episode 21
If Domon has 30 kills by this stage, you'll get Fuunsaiki. Apparently, though, you won't get him if you have fulfilled the first few steps for recruiting Master Asia.

Scenario: Episode 24
After destroying Zuril's UFO mother ship, Have Duke fight her, then have Maria use "Convince" on her.
Pilot: NORRIS
Unit: GOUF CUSTOM
Scenario: Episode 28
Just make sure Norris remains alive after the battle and he'll join you.
Pilot: PURU
Unit: QUEBELEY MK II
Scenario: Episode 28
Destroy Gremy, then battle Puru with Camille.
Pilot: PURU 2
Unit: QUEBELEY MK II
Scenario: Episode 28
Once you recruit Puru, have her shoot down Puru 2. She will join you after the battle.
