Final Fantasy 7 Walkthrough
This Is The ff7134 Link
Mako Reactor After jumping off the train run to the first dead soldier and take the two potions then follow Barret. The two soldiers attacking you should be easy to defeat. Once you’ve reached the others talk to them and name yourself and Barret. Follow the team into the reactor where Barret will join your party. Talk to Biggs and Jessie to open the doors and hit the button in the elevator. Following Jessie down the ladder and grab the potion. A save point will enable you to save further down. Head east and grab the restore materia before placing the bomb on the reactor… The Guard Scorpion should not be attacked while it’s tail is up because it can cause severe injuries if you do. Simply use the time to heal yourselves and wait for the tail to drop again. You now have ten minutes to get out the reactor through the same way you got in, but take the time to help Jessie on your way out. Once more can the doors are opened by talking to either Jessie or Biggs. Your next mission objective is to make your way south to the train that will get you out of danger. Talk to the flower girl. You can buy one of her flowers by using the second option and then the first before heading south. Fighting the guards is optional but is always a good idea sooner or later they’ll box you in anyway and you will escape by jumping onto a driving train. The train will arrive in the slums where you should follow your team west. Barret will let you into the bar where you should talk to everyone and then attempt to exit the bar. Barret will barge in and show you the way into the secret room, where you should continue to talk with Barret. Re-supply in town and visit the beginner’s hall for an al materia. Lightning materia will be very useful in the future. You can gain more money by fighting east of the train station.
Mako Reactor No..5 Enter the train and run from wagon to wagon once the alarm and the time limit sets in. You’ll have to run all the way to the first wagon where you’ll talk to Tifa and Barret before jumping out of the train after Tifa. In the train tunnel go north and climb through an air-duct to the left of the security grid. Grab the ether and climb down the ladder. Climb up the ladder behind Wedge, talk to Jessie and grab the potion in the corner. Go left, climb down the ladder, talk to Biggs and grab the bag before you save. Climb up the ladder where Biggs stood before and use the slide to get to the lower level. Go through the door in the western- wall, from here it’s all the same as in the first reactor. Don’t forget to set the charge before moving on. Take the ether out of the box and enter the room with the computers. You’ll need to hit the button exactly at the same time when the others do (this might take a while but keep trying until you make it). Through the door and north you go to meet president Shinra himself who will leave you after a while to fight the airbuster. If you haven’t already, now would be a good time to use your lightning materia. As always when fighting larger enemies your health should be as close to maximum, without wasting time and/or mana, as possible.
Meeting Aeris After your ‘little’ fall you’ll awaken in a flower- bed in a church where you’ll meet Aeris. You agree to help her against the Turks who will show up only moments later. Escaping through the back exit of the church Aeris will fall while attempting a jump. Use the barrels above you to ward off the shinra soldiers. Make Aeris run first, then let her wait, and use the upper right barrel to get rid of the first soldier. Make her wait again and use the lower right barrel to get rid of the second soldier after which you can escape over the rooftops. Should you not pick the right barrel Aeris will have to fight the soldier. Head west at first and then north to reach another part of the slums. Re-supply and go to Aeris’s house to the north. In the garden next to the house you can find a potion and a cover materia. Talk to Aeris’s mother and agree to sneak out at night. Carefully walk by Aeris’s room and head through the slums and then west. Aeris will surprise you there and together you’ll fight your way north through a little obstacle course. Reaching the playground Aeris will want a little rest and you’ll see Tifa driving by on a chocobo wagon. Pursue the chocobo wagon into wall market where you can save a little bit to the northeast.
Wall market and Don Corneo Head east from the town’s entrance and talk to the guys standing in line. One of them will tell you that Tifa is in Don Corneos mansion to the north. Go as far north as you can and talk to the guard standing in front of Corneos mansion. He will tell you that only girls can enter the mansion. Cloud has to dress up like a girl and to do that you will have to go to the clothing shop in a little bit north of the town’s entrance. Talk to the owner and he will tell you than only his father can help you with the dress. You will find him further north in the bar sitting and drinking. Aeris will explain the situation to him and he agrees to help you with your problem. Go back to the clothing shop and try on the dress, you’ll notice that you’ll need a wig to complement the look. Go to the gym south of the weapon shop and talk to someone there. You will have to win the wig by doing squats. You’ll get the wig even if you lose. Dress up in the clothing shop and enter Corneo’s mansion to the north. Once you are left alone go up the stairs and to the west into the basement to find Tifa. Take the potions, talk to Tifa and get out of the basement through the center door. Corneo will pick one of the girls to go with him and cloud should end up in a room with a couple of guys. Take the bag to your right and talk to all of them before talking to their boss at the window. After pointing out the mistake they made they should be disposed off before heading back to the basement. Next stop should be Corneo’s back room where you’ll squeeze some information out of him. He will activate a trap door short after and you’ll end up in the sewer beneath his house. Immediately after you talk to your party members you’ll be attacked by APS who uses sewer tsunamis to get the better of you. Fire and Ice should be used to take the creature apart and poison should be avoided. Don’t forget to pick up the materia and the items before you leave the sewer. The train graveyard and the sector 7 plate After you climbed out of the sewer save and start fighting your way north. Next to the items lying around you can find several more useful items in the barrels. Drive the 2 trains into the right position to be able to reach the sector 7 plate to the west. Talk to the shopkeeper on the left to get some more potions if necessary and climb up the pillar talking to Jessie and Biggs on the way. Help Barret fight Reno who uses pyramid to imprison your party-members. Attack the pyramid to free your comrades and attack Reno until he takes off with the words: “It’s Time!” You manage to escape the catastrophe and you’ll find yourself back in the playground. In it’s southeastern corner a sense materia can now be found. Go to Aeris’s house (south, east and north), talk to her mother and reunite Barret with his daughter before going back to wall market. In wall market you can buy batteries from the guy standing next to the tank in the weapons shop. With these batteries follow the kids east to the wall with the graffiti on it. Climb up the cable after talking to the kid. Use the first battery to activate the propeller and the second to raise the barrier. You have to jump onto the swinging cable just before it reaches it’s most left position. Repeat this as often as needed to get it right. Climb up and left and use the final battery to open the box to get an item. You will have to redo the swinging cable scene if you choose to open the box.
Shinra HQ At the shinra headquarters you can save and choose one of two ways to enter the building. Either you sneak up by using the left stairs and avoid the fights or you’ll bust in through the main entrance. I advice to use the main entrance because it will be good training. Go up the stairs after defeating the guards. You can find a shop to your right where you can buy some items. After you got what you needed step into the elevator. You will have to stop the elevator multiple times before reaching the desired floor and each time it stops you will usually have to fight. On the 59th floor kill the guards at the elevator and you’ll receive a keycard for the 60th floor. On the 60th floor you will have to move from statue to statue when the guards aren’t looking. After you managed to get your companions to the other side the same way head up to the next floor. On this floor you will have to talk to one of the shinra managers walking around. Answer with “…” and you’ll receive the keycard for the next floor. Talk to the mayor on floor 62 and he’ll give you a puzzle to solve. Because this puzzle changes every time you restart the game I can only tell you how to solve it: There are four rooms with books on this floor each with a special area. (Space, Mako, Urban development and weapons research) In each room there is one book that doesn’t fit the subject of the room. This book has a number in front of it’s title (e.g. 5 Neo Midgar project). The number indicates the letter in the title that you should write down. (here: I). After finding the four books that don’t fit in the category talk to the mayor and choose the word that fits the letters you found. Get it right the first time and you’ll receive a materia next to the keycard for the 63rd floor. Floor 63 can be skipped if you don’t want to do the puzzle here… Use the computer and it’ll allow you to open three doors. Use 2 of your 3 doors to get to the most left coupon then climb through the air-duct to the most right coupon. From that room you can use your final door to get to the center coupon. Exchange the coupons at the computer and go to the next floor. Here you can finally get some rest, save and find a phoenix down and an ether in the locker room. Another puzzle awaits you on the 65th floor. A large scale model of Migdar is missing several parts. These parts are hidden in the boxes that will only open once a part is put into the model. The boxes will open in the following sequence: 1st box: located in the left center room 2nd box: located in the right top room 3rd box: located in the left center room 4th box: located in the left bottom room 5th box: also located in the left bottom room Final box: located in the right center room In the last box you will find the keycard for floor 66. On the next floor a shinra executive meeting is about to begin. To overhear the conversation you will need to climb into the air-duct above the toilet. The meeting will end and you should follow Hojo into his research lab on the next floor. You can save to the north and obtain an item. Use the small elevator to your left to go up another floor. You will see Aeris and Hojo and after a short conversation Barret will attempt to free Aeris. This will free Red XIII who will help you fight a creature named HO512 (1000HP). HO512 has three little critters around him (300) that he can revive so concentrate your attacks on HO512. Do not use Bio against the creature it will only heal him. Once defeated take the enemy skill materia and talk to Hojo’s assistant to get the keycard for the next floor. Go back down to the 66th floor elevator and use it. You will be captured by the Turks and imprisoned. After ‘talking’ to everyone get some rest and you’ll notice that your cell doors are open once you wake up. Free the others and follow the trail of blood up to the top floor where president shinra’s office is located. The president is suffering from an acute cutting pain in the back and Rufus will arrive outside with a chopper. Go outside and listen to Rufus’s inauguration speech. Your party will split up in three groups. Group 1 will be only cloud who should be equipped with a poison + all materia and a restore materia. Group 2 will be Tifa who doesn’t need any materia. Group 3 will be Red XIII, Barret and Aeris. Equip them with restore + all materia and lightning materia for everyone. You might need to take the materia from Cloud for a while but you can give it back after you have fought the hundred gunner(1600HP) and the heli gunner(1000HP) who can only be fought with long range attacks. Use your Lightning materia as often as possible to defeat these two enemies. Right after the battle Cloud will have to Face Rufus + Dark Nation so don’t forget to re-equip him if you took his materia before. Poison both Rufus and his Dark Nation and finish of the Dark nation first. Rufus will use his shotgun very often so remember to heal yourself. Rufus will eventually abandon the battle and take off in his chopper. Run back to where Tifa’s waiting and don’t forget to save. Now steer Aeris to the main entrance and enjoy the escaping scene. On the motorcycle keep the enemies away from the car with the help of your blade, you will have to fight Motorball (2600HP/120MP) once you have held off the enemy bikers for long enough. Defeat the ‘thing’ with lightning and assemble your team in front of the gate of Midgar. Remember that you can save everywhere once you are out on the world map.
Kalm and the chocobo farm Head northeast to Kalm, buy all you want/need and go to the inn. Your crew is waiting on the second floor and Cloud will tell a little story about what happened five years ago… Take a look around in Nibelheim in Cloud’s past and talk to Sepiroth in the inn. The next day Tifa will lead you to the reactor and you should head north into the caves after the bridge has snapped. Shut the valve inside the reactor as soon as Sepiroth demands it. Sepiroth can later be found in a secret room in the shinra mansion. The room is located on the second floor on the right side next to the shinra soldier. Sepiroth will demand that you leave him alone and you should do so, return later to talk to Sepiroth once again. Sepiroth will torch Nibelheim and head for the reactor after which Cloud’s memory will fail. The PHS you will receive from Barret can be used to reconfigure your party everywhere on the world map and at every save point. Go southeast until you end up at the chocobo farm, talk to one of the chocobos and say “WARK” to have them perform a little dance and to receive the Choco/Mog materia from them. Go inside and talk to the old man before going to the shed behind the house. Talk to Choco Billy and buy the chocobo lure and some greens. Outside on the world map look for some bird footprints, equip the chocobo lure and run around until you end up in a fight with a chocobo and some other creatures. Throw the greens to the chocobo to keep him from running away, then eliminate the monsters surrounding the chocobo as fast as you can. Use the chocobo to cross the swamp to the south and avoid contact with the snake at all cost. Should you later in the game return to this beast you can get the enemy skill ‘Beta’ from it.
The Mythril Mine and Junon military base Let the chocobo go and tremble before what Sepiroth has wrought then enter the mine. East of you, you can climb a vine to reach a long- range materia and on some steps you can find two more items. Heading southeast you will come across another item in a box before meeting the Turks. Go north to collect the final item and then out of the mine back on the world map. Follow the coastline to Junon where you will need to save a little girl at the beach down the left steps. The Bottomswell (2500HP/100MP) uses a special kind of attack on your teammates. Bubble-shaped this thing will continually drain the life out of the affected party member. Attack the bubble to destroy it and heal your party member if necessary. After the creature has been defeated the little girl will require CPR. To do this let your ‘lung-bar’ fill up almost to the top and hit switch to empty it into the girl. The girl will eventually be saved and you can have a free rest in the house next to the town’s entrance. Once you’ve rested go and visit the little girl to get the Shiva materia and the help of her Dolphin. The dolphin can catapult you onto the beam, which is the only way to get into the Junon military base. In the water immediately blow the whistle, you won’t make it onto the beam but you will be exactly in the right position for the jump to succeed. Go past the Aircraft onto a platform with a large yellow switch. It will turn out to be an elevator and you can now go east into the military base where you will be caught by a shinra officer who will mistake you for one of his recruits. Put on the shinra uniform and follow your ‘boss’ to the parade. You’ll have to march in the parade and the better you do the better the item will be you get from the commentators. Several shops can be found in the different buildings. Visit them all and buy what you need and don’t forget to buy the revive- and the seal materia. In a building with the number 27 on it you can locate another enemy skill materia. To the west at the harbor Rufus is waiting for his soldiers to parade for him. Follow the commands your officer gives as close as possible and you’ll get the Forcestealer from Heidegger after that you should enter the cargo ship.
The cargo ship and Costa del Sol In the cargo hold you can find an all materia, an ether and several team members disguised as soldiers or crew. On deck there’s a save point near Red XIII and you can meet Barret further to the front of the ship. Just as you decide to take Rufus out for good the alarm is triggered- Sepiroth might be on the ship. Assemble your party and go back to the cargo hold, the way to the engine room is now cleared. Before talking to the soldier in red take the item out of the box above you. Sepiroth will appear long enough to set up a fight between you and a Jenova birth (4000HP/110MP). Use limit attacks and summon spells as often as possible and avoid the use of Bio and sleepel because they are useless here. You can now use your revive materia to resurrect fallen comrades. Tale the Ifrit materia after you have been victorious and wait for your ship to arrive in Costa del Sol where Rufus once again will escape your grasp. In the basement of the first house you come across you can find a couple of useful items. Re-supply in the various shops and check out the salesman in the bar. You can talk to Hojo, who is also looking for Sepiroth, at the beach to the east. Leave Costa del Sol and you won’t have much choice but to follow the way west and then north. The road will lead up to a mountain pass where an old man tells you that Sepiroth has already been there. You will go past a Mako reactor that you cannot enter. Follow the rails south and then west to a save point. Choose the upper track to find a weapon for Barret. Should you fall through the tracks at any time you can supposedly reach items that are hanging to your right and to your left. Because this never worked in my version I don’t know whether these items are any good or not. Move on along the tracks and choose the upper path again to find a transform materia and a turbo ether. Again choosing the upper route you’ll see your team standing at a raised bridge that can be closed in a cabin around the bend of the track. Head back and over the now closed bridge and you’ll eventually end up in Corel. Go south onto the world map if you want to save. Again you should re-supply before you take the cable car to the west up to the golden saucer. The gold saucer has its own currency that is needed to use the save point amongst other things. Go to the wonder square where you’ll meet Cait Sith who will eventually join your party. Your new currency can also be obtained here by playing and winning the games located in this area. I had better luck betting on the chocobo races in the chocobo square but that decision is entirely up to you. Once you have made a reasonable amount of the new currency go to the battle square where several people were killed by gunshots. The owner of the golden saucer will hold you responsible for these killings and throw you into the desert prison.
The desert prison and Gongaga Barret can be found further south, follow him to the save point and go even further south into the building where you’ll meet the rest of your team. Go back north again and you’ll notice that another person has been shot and a gate left open. Go through north through the gate and through the junkyard on your right hand side to meet Barret’s old friend Dyne. Barret will now need to fight Dyne (12000/20) and after being victorious he will receive two items. Dyne will take a dive off the cliff and you should go to the southwestern building to meet Mr. Coates who will tell you that the only way to get out of prison is to win the chocobo race. Cloud will be the one to participate in the race and Ester will select a chocobo for you. While ester fetches your chocobo take the Ramuh materia. Racing the chocobo should be fairly easy on automatic, just take care that the power bar on your right doesn’t reach zero or your chocobo will be too exhausted to even run. Don’t worry about winning the first time, you’ll be allowed to try again until you make it. Dio now convinced of you innocence will give you a buggy as a gift. You can now finally cross the river to the west (only at certain places though). Drive the buggy west towards some ruins surrounded by woodland. In the ruins you will overhear a conversation between Reno (2000HP/80MP) and Rude (2000HP/135MP) who you will have to fight after Elena’s appearance. Those two shouldn’t pose a problem if you concentrate on chasing away one first and then the other. Take the road north to a destroyed reactor where you’ll see Scarlet, check out the reactor right after she’s gone to collect another summon materia. The deathblow materia can be found west of where you fought Reno and Rude. North of there you can enter Gongaga where you can buy the very useful time materia.
Cosmo Canyon Follow the coastline to the west and cross the river to the north. You will know when you enter cosmo canyon when the sky turns reddish. Park your buggy next to the town and don’t try to drive by or the buggy will brake down. Red XIII will run up the stairs very quickly and you will be allowed into the city, take your time in re-supplying and head up the stairs to see Bugenhagen. Talk to bugenhagen then go and find two of your teammates to have Bugenhagen demonstrate what the lifeforce is in his 3D planetarium. Buy the MP and HP increasing materia for each of your party members. The remaining party is assembled at the Cosmo flame. Talk to all of them and finally to Red XIII, Bugenhagen will appear and take you on a little trip into a secret underground cave. This is very good training for your party so assemble your party wisely before following Bugenhagen. Climb all the way down and exit the chamber. There are several cave entrances nearby each has a switch inside. In the second cave a switch will open a passage to a further area. The remaining switches will cause instant combat with several opponents. In the second area walk carefully over the greasy patch and collect all items that you can reach. If you run over the patch you will slip into the spiked wall which can really hurt. To the north you will see 5 passageways of which only the 2nd and the 4th are of any use. If you run through the webs in the cave entrances you will be attacked by stingerspiders (2200HP/60MP). The 2nd entrance to the right leads to an x- potion while the way north leads to Gi- Nattak (5500HP/200MP). Gi- Nattak will be surrounded by three little helpers who can absorb fire attacks. Ice 2 should be useful in this battle. Keep your party on full health, concentrate your attacks on Gi- Nattak and don’t forget to take the gravity materia after you won. You will know be told what actually happened to Red XIII father and after re-supplying you should leave Cosmo Canyon for Nibelheim to the north. If your buggy broke down it should now be possible to repair it.
Nibelheim and Mt. Nibel Entering Nibelheim you notice that it has been rebuild to it’s original state and you’ll find an explanation for this in form of a note on a table in Tifa’s room. Several of the black robed figures have useful items that they will give to you once you’ve talked to them. Talk to them all and head for the shinra mansion to the north. Inside the shinra mansion you might have to fight jerseys who can only be defeated if you switch between magical and melee attacks every time your attack is successful. On the first floor you can find weapons for Yuffie (If you don’t have Yuffie yet don’t worry it will be explained later how to get her) and Cait Sith, whereas on the second floor you can find a weapon for Barret and another item. The note to the left of the entrance will give you some clues on how to open the save on the second floor (left room). The numbers are: right 36, left 10, right 59 and right 97. Turn the dial to these numbers and confirm with ok each time, do this within the time limit and you will receive the key to a room in the basement and the Odin materia. You will have to fight Lost Numbers (7000HP/300MP) first who can best be defeated with Bio2. Head down the secret passage into the basement and go to the library where Sepiroth will bombard you with a destruct materia before leaving. Take the materia and use your key to open the door next to the library. Open the coffin and talk to Vincent. Leave Vincent in his coffin and go towards the exit of the basement. Vincent should follow you and join the team. Get some rest in Nibelheim and go through Nibelheim and take the northern exit. You can find the runesword and a bangle on the two mountain peaks. The hanging bridge has been repaired so cross it and enter a cave with 5 tubes located to you left. Before trying the tubes climb down a couple of ladders and unfold the lower ladder. The 2nd and the 4th are the only tubes that are worth trying. Next to the save point a rather large creature is guarding the exit. Attack the Materiaholder (8400HP/300MP) and try to learn the enemy skill Trine from it by letting him use it on you. Take the counterattack materia it leaves behind after you defeated the creature and leave the cave through the southern exit. Jump down and enter the cave directly next to you. You can find a couple of items heading north and you will be able to exit the cave to the east. Follow the road past the reactor into the cave where you defeated the Materiaholder and use the exit it was guarding. Following the road you will once again end up on the world map where you should now go north to rocket town.
Rocket Town In rocket town you should buy some tents and do the usual upgrading. Enter the northern house and go to the back yard to look at the tiny bronco (aircraft). Talk to Cid in the rocket about borrowing the tiny Bronco and talk to the old man looking at the rocket. He will give you a weapon and you should now go back to the house with the aircraft in the back yard. Rufus will arrive soon after and talk to Cid about borrowing the Bronco himself. Go back into the back yard where you’ll see Palmer at the Bronco. Palmer (6000HP/240MP) will attack you with his Mako gun but shouldn’t pose a threat to you. Poisoning will do a little additional damage each ‘turn’ and will therefore speed up the battle a little. Palmer will abandon the fight and die in a rather unexpected fashion. The next part is non- essential and can be skipped by those who are in a hurry. I however consider it to be too long to count as a bonus area. To continue the game start reading at the part titled: The Keystone Yuffie and Wutai The Tiny Bronco will crash into the water and can only be used as a boat from now on. Next you will have to get Yuffie who can either be found in the forested area between Junon and Fort Condor or the forested area between Gongaga and Cosmo Canyon. Run around in either forest until you will have to fight a mystery ninja. Defeat her and you will come into a special screen with a save point. DO NOT USE THE SAVE POINT or Yuffie will get away. Talk to Yuffie and answer with the 2nd choice then the first then the 2nd again until Yuffie finally joins the team. Now use the bronco to go back where you originally crashed and ‘land’ on the coast to your west. (You can get Yuffie earlier in the game if you want). On this long and thin island head north until Yuffie will steal your materia and leave you to fight some soldiers without materia. Continue heading north over two hanging bridges, go south and underneath the second bridge to get to the third bridge. Without materia fighting can be very dangerous and you should use a tent after each battle. Get to Wutai to the north as quickly as possible. You can find Yuffie to the north in Wutai but she’ll escape before you can get your materia back. To the west of the pagoda you can find several items located in secret rooms: The first room is located behind the westernmost curtain and the second room can be found behind a secret door in the east. In both cases you will notice the room to continue even behind the wall. In the east wing of the building you will find Godo sleeping on a mat, talk to him a couple of times until Yuffie appears. Once again Yuffie will get away and this time you will have to play a little game of hide and seek. Before you go look for Yuffie take the MP- absorb materia out of the box in the northwestern house it will be stolen by Yuffie the minute you pick up the materia. In the first house next to the town’s entrance Yuffie will be hiding behind a foldable wall, she will once more escape and hide in the barrel in front of the bar. Once captured Yuffie will lead you into a basement where she will prompt you to use one of the levers. It doesn’t matter which one you pick. Your party will be imprisoned and can only be freed by using the lever once more. To the west you will notice that the gate to the giant gong is now open, hit the gong and enter the secret passage to your left. Take all the items in the room and follow Corneo up the stairs. The next fight will again be fought without materia but should be easily won. Go to the savepoint after talking to the Turks and go north onto a mountain. In a cave behind a head (middle path) you can find a weapon for Cid. Corneo and girls can be found to the south of the giant face. Talk to Corneo and fight his pet ARCA (6200HP) again without the use of materia. The Turks will help you free the girls once you’ve won and Yuffie will give you back your materia.
The Keystone Properly re-equip your materia and stock up on Healing potions and tents before going back towards the tiny Bronco. Follow the coast to the south past Cosmo Canyon and Gongaga. A short way southeast of Gongaga there is a single building of which the owner will tell you where the keystone is. The key to the temple of the ancients is in the possession of Dio the owner of the golden saucer. The key can be found in a showroom at the battlesquare and Dio agrees to give it to you if you fight in the battlesquare arena. You will have to fight stronger enemies every round your handicap will also increase every round. You don’t have to fight and win every battle though. With the keystone in your possession you will be told at the cable-car station that the cable-car is defective and can’t be repaired until tomorrow. Cait Sith will arrange a couple of rooms in the ‘haunted’ hotel. Meet up with your team in the hotel and listen to the story before heading up to your room. Tifa or Aeris will come to pick you up for a date. Conversational choices do not affect the game in any way so feel free to utterly mess up the ‘play’ you will be forced to enter. Eventually you’ll see Cait Sith with the keystone, chase him through several areas until he will be finally pass the keystone on to the Turks. You agree to keep the traitor in your party and you can now leave the golden saucer. Back in the tiny Bronco pass the golden saucer in northerly direction. Go as far north as possible and choose the east way around the Midgar continent. South of Juno you will find the island with the temple of the ancients on it where you will find the wounded Tseng who will hand you the keystone.
The temple of the ancients Place the keystone on the altar to enter the temple and you will end up in a labyrinth. Try and follow the purple person through the labyrinth. The labyrinth isn’t that big so you should easily find your way through. (Hitting the assist button will show you where the exit is and where you can climb up and down). You will reach a hallway where large rocks are rolling down from the north. You will have to duck into the hole of the rock and do the same to the next rock until you reach the top (You can’t die but you will have to do a part over if you get hit by the rock). Once there Aeris will have a vision so follow her to the pool where you can pick up the morph materia. The ghost of the ancients will now be standing at the top of the hallway and allow you to heal yourself and save. The room to the east is shaped like a giant clock and you should visit the rooms 1,3,4,5,7 and 8 before continuing through room number 6. Should you get hit by the ‘seconds’ pointer you will fall into an area below where you can find a weapon for Cloud and be attacked by a couple of dragons. You can get back in the labyrinth from there and you’ll need to walk all the way back to the clock room. After taking door number 6 in the clock room you will need to capture the ghost that is running around there. Grab the items out of the boxes and try to guess where the ghost might come out (Following will work but only after quite a while). The ghost will then open the door for you and you can enter the room that you saw earlier in Aeris’s vision. Talk to Sepiroth and once again he will let you fight one of his creatures. The red dragon (6800HP/300MP) can absorb fire attacks so do not use those, instead try using Quake2 and Bio2. After the battle take the bahamut materia and go to the far end on the room where a black pyramid is floating above an altar. You will discover that the entire temple is the black materia and Cait Sith will volunteer to solve the puzzle. You should agree to this because there is no other way to get the black materia. Go back to the clock room and take exit through XII where you will encounter Demongate (10,000HP/400MP) who should be fought with melee attacks because magic is almost useless against it. The Demongate’s attacks can do up to 1500HP of damage so be prepared.
Bone Village and the lost city After the interlude you will awaken in Gongaga where you can re-supply. You can find the tiny Bronco at the southern coast. Your target is Bone Village on the northern continent so you will have to follow the eastern coast to the north. There is only a small stretch of beach on the northern continent (mainly icy) and Bone village should be directly north of that beach. Talk about the lunar harp to the shopkeeper at the site’s entrance. He will let you use some members of his digging team to dig for the harp. Place the members on different places next to the tent (up the ladder) and detonate the bomb. Go to the place where the lines of sight cross and have them dig there. The team will place what it finds in the box next to the shopkeeper. Keep trying until you find the harp you will need it to go through the sleeping forest. Leave the village to the northern exit and you will end up in the sleeping forest that will awaken once you play the harp. On the second screen you will see the Kujata materia rolling around and you should definitely take it with you before you go on. Take the water ring and climb through the hollow ‘tree’. You will get on the world map so use the opportunity to save before moving on. You will come to an intersection of three roads. The left leads to a building with a save point. Take the right road and investigate the second building. You can sleep there and collect another enemy skill materia. Finally choose the center road and go up the spiral to get the Comet materia, then go down the crystal steps deeper into the lost city. Past the save point you will see Aeris sitting in a broken pavilion, where Cloud will resist Sepiroth’s unspoken order to kill Aeris. Sepiroth will come and finish the job and will give a Jenova live (10,000HP/300MP) to fight. The creature can use reflect to bounce back your spells so use your Quake2 only when reflect is not up. If it uses reflect use melee and limit attacks instead or cast cure on the creature. The cure will then reflect back to you and the reflect spell will decrease with one level (normally the reflect spell works 3 times). Back in the upper region follow Sepiroth who is heading north (right road from the intersection and then to the east). Climb up the cracks in the wall to get al the items then climb down the ladder to your left to get a magic plus materia. Climb all the way up and you will eventually end up on the world map.
Snowboarding and Gaea’s cliffs Given the somewhat icy climate up here Fire attacks should prove useful. Head west and north to reach a town where you should take the glacier map from the wall of the eastern house. Listen to the interviews of professor Gast in the left house by activating the console. Next you should talk to the guy to the north and learn how to snowboard. Tell him that you don’t care how dangerous the glacier is and Elena will come to hit you in the face for what happened to Tseng. Whether you evade the punch or not you will end up being stuck in the town with no way out but the glacier. Talk to the boy in the center house to get his snowboard. Go all the way north and enjoy the snowboard ride, you don’t have to pick up the balloons on your way down. Depending on which turns you took in the snowboarding area you will end up on different places. This is a large area where several items can be found. Wander around and try to find as many as possible before you collapse due to the intense cold. You will be saved by Holzhoff and transported to his cabin. Talk to Holzhoff before leaving his cabin and meet your team outside. Head up north and climb up the walls. You need to warm your body by pressing switch fairly often at each flagged position or you will have to do the entire climbing scene over. You will now reach 3 caves inbetween your climbing periods. In the first cave take the weapon out of the box and proceed northeast. You will have to push over a boulder to clear the road of the icy spikes before you will once again find yourself climbing up the mountain. In the next cave take the eastern passage and you will eventually reach a ridge with several icicles hanging from the ceiling. Fight the bats surrounding the icicle and knock the icicle down. Once all icicles have fallen take the item out of the box and jump down to the room below. You can now take another item and continue your way through the center passage. On this climbing scene keep left to keep you from ending up in dead ends. In the final cave you can touch the white area next to the save point to heal your party. Move on and you will fight Shizo (2x 18,000HP/350MP). Shizo is a two- headed thing of which the left head has the ability to absorb Fire attacks and the right head ice attacks. Avoid using all+ fire/ice and concentrate on fighting one head. Once a part dies it will do ~1500HP of damage one more time.
The northern crater and Weapon’s appearance Climb the crater rim and head down the crater to the save point. Pick up the nearby neo- Bahamut materia and go further west. Take the items of the fallen cloaked figures and climb up the mountain. You will encounter a barrier that can be passed when it has the least energy. If you don’t make it you will be thrown back and forced to fight a creature. Try again until you make it through and head north where you will meet Sepiroth. Once again Sepiroth will let you fight a Jenova. Jenova death (25,000HP/800MP) should be fought with level 3 magic and comet. You will now have to give the black materia to one of your teammates. It doesn’t matter to whom so just give it to someone and head north. The next forcefield you encounter to the north is a little bit trickier than the first but keep trying. After the long interlude you will be transported to Junon Military base where you will control Tifa as well as Barret. Barret should follow Tifa into the broadcasting room and Scarlet will explain that you are to be publicly executed. Tifa will be led into the gas chamber and Barret will be freed by Cait Sith. The 2 shinra soldiers should pose no threat to them. Pull at the door of the gas chamber a couple of times and leave the broadcasting room after the interlude. Go east and exit the building there, you will meet Yuffie dressed as a reporter and use the platform further ahead to get up to the airstrip. Your view will now change back to Tifa who is still chained to a chair in the gas chamber. Move Tifa’s feet to get the key, use her head and her feet at the same time to get the key into her mouth. Once there use her head and her right hand to open the first lock. After that it should be easy to get out of the chair and stop the gas by pressing the button next to the chair. Weapon will now unintentionally help Tifa by cutting a hole in the gas chamber roof with his beam weapon. Make Tifa climb down the building and over the cannon to it’s far end where she will end up ‘fighting’ Scarlet, slap Scarlet in the face until she’s had enough and she’ll be saved by the team in the highwind. Go to the cockpit of the highwind and talk to everyone and finally talk to Cid once more. Go to operations afterwards and talk to the guard there to heal and assemble your party. Go back to the cockpit and talk to the pilot to the right to gain control of the highwind.
Mideel, Corel and Fort Condor Use the Highwind to get to the southeastern island and re-supply before going past the dog sitting to the north. Cloud can be found in the clinic to the north but he will be unable to rejoin the party due to extensive mako poisoning. Tifa will stay behind with Cloud while the rest of the team elects Cid as the new leader. Cait Sith tells you that Rufus is planning to destroy ‘meteor’ with the huge materia collected from the Corel reactor and Fort Condor. Once again assemble your team in the operations room and go to Corel. Fight your way to the reactor and finish of the 2 soldiers (1300HP/100MP) guarding the reactor. Press ‘up’ and ‘menu’ repeatedly to accelerate the train. You will jump to the other train as soon as you managed to get close enough. You will now have to jump from wagon to wagon and fight a couple of enemies on each wagon. These 5 fights need to be won quickly so use the strongest stuff in your arsenal. The most notable enemy on the train is the eagle gun (17,000HP/50MP) which however has a weakness against lightning. On the locomotive use the levers as Cid tells you to, to stop the train. Should you not succeed in stopping the train you will not receive the huge materia and the ultima materia, which is reason enough to load and try again. After you rested in Corel use the Highwind to get to Fort Condor (south of Junon) and climb the tower all the way to the top. Talk to the guy up there and learn how to play the mini-game if you haven’t already. The easiest way to win this mini-game is to place as many attackers as far south as possible and then, once the game starts, move them all units as far south as you can using different routes. This way you will only have to face 5 to 10 enemies instead of the usual 30 to 40 before the game is won. Go outside and watch the ‘little’ Condor hatch before taking the phoenix materia and talking to the man downstairs. From him you will receive your second huge materia. Cloud’s memories and the Junon submarine base On popular demand you should now go back to Mideel to check up on Cloud. Weapon will attack you party and Cloud and Tifa will both plunge into the lifestream once you have chased Weapon away. Fighting weapon should be easy because none of Weapon’s weapons can really hurt you so simply keep doing damage and Weapon will leave. Tifa will end up in Cloud’s memories where she should assist Cloud in sorting out what really happened five years ago. Simply visit each area and as soon as you’re done Cloud will be able to rejoin the party. Make your new party in the highwind and go to Junon. The guard at the elevator will let you drive up for 10 gil. The entrance to the submarine station should be quite easy to find. You’ll have to follow a group of soldiers through a long gray hallway into an elevator. Eliminate all attacking submarine crews and follow the hallway into the next elevator that will take you further down. Go through the underwater tube and hit the left button in the next elevator. After obliterating more submarine crews you’ll see how the huge materia is loaded onboard a red submarine. You will meet Reno who will set up a fight between you and a robot consisting of 3 parts: Part1 claw (24,000HP/200MP) Part2 and 3 arm (10,000HP/100MP) The robot can grab individual party members with his arms and you will have to attack his arms to free them. You will hurt any grabbed teammates with these attacks but that’s the only way to free them. Concentrate your attacks on the claw and use lightning 3 to quickly destroy the robot. By the time you will have defeated the red submarine will have escaped taking the huge materia with it. Take the items out of the boxes and conquer the gray submarine. On the submarine’s bridge you will capture the remaining crew and you will go in pursuit of the red submarine. Sink the red submarine by using excessively many torpedoes and board it. Surface and go back to Junon airport where you’ll see another huge materia flying of in a aircraft in the direction of rocket town.
The Space-flight and the white materia Use the highwind to follow the materia to rocket town and climb up the rocket. Rude (9000HP/240MP) will attempt to keep you from entering the rocket but he should not be a problem as long as you quickly destroy the barriers he sometimes builds up. Inside the rocket you will be surprised by an unscheduled early launch…. Try to get the huge materia out of it’s holding area by pressing random codes but listen closely to the pointers Cid gives you. Whether you manage to free the materia or not is not important because either way you will escape the rocket by escape pod. Go to Cosmo Canyon where your team will finally decide how to tackle the problems that lie ahead. The huge materia will be left behind and you will take Bugenhagen to visit the lost city. Before you go there you will need a special key though, so board your submarine and dive into an underground cave near Costa del Sol where the key is located. Land the highwind in the canyon next to the lost city and take the center path once inside the lost city. You will be told about the white materia that might be able to save the planet and your key can now be used to get you further information about the white materia. Cait Sith will update you on Rufus plan to defeat Sepiroth and you should now go back to the highwind where Weapon will launch another attack.
Sister Ray and Hojo Your team will decide that it is best to save Midgar so head head towards Midgar and wait for Weapon at the coastline. You have to keep Weapon at bay long enough for Rufus’s weapon, the sister ray, to be ready to fire. If you withstand Weapon long enough you will receive a staggering 35,000 Experience points and 35000 AP. In the next movie sister ray will fire and obliterate Weapon as well as the barrier around the northern crater. The highwind can now take you to the northern crater where you will discover Reeves to be the controller of Cait Sith while Hojo is attempting to overload the sister ray cannon to blow up Midgar. The highwind will drop you off above Midgar and you’ll parachute down to sector 8 where you can assemble your party before you have Cait Sith open a underground passage. First take the upper tunnel to an elixir and then go back south to the lower staircase and west to get an aegis bangle. Drop off the platform to the east and you’ll eventually reach a save point. Go through an air-duct till you reach some rail tracks and follow them south where you’ll meet Barret. Continue to go south and pick up all the items, a materia and Red XIII on the way. In sector 7 you’ll encounter the Turks who you don’t have to fight at this point in time. After choosing the left road in sector 8 you’ll have to fight Heidegger and Scarlet in their special combat armor (20,000HP/300MP). Take out the armor first by using all + lightning in this endurance battle. The robot is only dangerous when it lies down to use its most powerful beam weapon. Victory being achieved head north to meet Cait Sith. Eliminate the X- cannon (20,000HP/100MP) with gravity attacks and fight Hojo (13,000HP/250MP).Hojo produces two ‘escorts’ to support him in combat and as always you should concentrate on the main enemy (Hojo). Hojo will transform (26,000HP/200MP) and will finally transform again into Hojo NA. Hojo NA can be very dangerous due to the anomalies he produces and only the party member carrying the ribbon will be absolutely save against them.
The core of the world and Sepiroth Your final mission will be to go to the northern crater and kill Sepiroth. The highwind will take you to the northern crater where you will slide down a slope. The enemies in this area can be highly dangerous due to the use of instant death spells and untrained parties are not likely to succeed far beyond the first part. The way will spiral down. And to get all the items you should first choose the right way down, then the left way up and finally jump down to your right. Walk into the first cave and meet the rest of your team further south. Take your party west and south to collect multiple items and a magic plus materia. You’ll meet your team once more in the center of the earth and this is a good point to use the memory crystal you found earlier. Two battles will now follow without interruption (13,000HP/400MP) and (20,000HP/100MP), both opponents can be put to sleep with sleepel and gravity will greatly help to decrease their health. Every party member should now be equipped to both be able to heal and to reanimate the party. The opponents in the final battles do not use instant death spells so enjoy the final fights. First up is a Jenova Synthesis (70,000HP) who is immune to gravity and Quake and also has the ability to let its arms re-grow should they be destroyed. Next in line is Bizzaro who is made out of five parts each with the ability to absorb a different sort of magic so use magically neutral spells only (Comet…). The only enemy remaining is Sepiroth who should be fought with all you got. Sepiroth uses Super nova multiple times and as the name suggests that spell can really do some real damage. Never let Sepiroth build up a barrier and never let you health get below 80%. That’s it… check out the bonus section below for special areas, materia and other interesting stuff!
Bonus
The Sleeping Man Use the highwind or one of the special (not yellow) to get to a cave south of Midgar over the mountains and you’ll be able to find a cave with a river next to it. Enter the cave and you will see a man sleeping on a bed and he will sometimes tell you how many battles you have fought. If the last two digits are even in this number (e.g. 322, 144 etc) you will receive a random item (usually a ring). If the last digits are uneven you will receive Mythril. With this mythril you should go south of the gold saucer to a single building where the weapon smith lives. You can exchange the mythril there for a gold bangle or the Level 4 limit manual for Aeris by opening either the long wooden box or the small locker up the stairs to the left.
The Key To Midgar After you picked Cloud up from Mideel by helping him to sort out his memories you can now go to Midgar where you’ll notice a man standing at the gate. Talk to him and use the Highwind to get to Bone village on the northern continent (south of the lost city). You will want to dig for the key that should be declared as a small treasure by the shopkeeper. You should now be able to enter Midgar and you will end up in sector 7 in the church where you first met Aeris you will see her bend over the flower bed flicker and disappear. Go to wall market and into the tent with the gun hanging from the roof, you can get Tifa’s ultimate weapon there. For about 130,000gil you can buy the sneak glove from the guy who sold you the batteries in the weapon shop in the north of wall market (the guy next to the tank…). Turtles Paradise Flyers Six flyers can be found in the world of Final Fantasy 7. You cannot pick them up so look at them in order and go to the bar in Wutai and talk to the barkeeper for some good items (Power Source, Guard Source, Magic Source, Mind Source, Speed Source, Luck Source, and a Mega Elixir) Flyer No. 1: Midgar City...the town next to Aeris' house. Go to the second floor of the south-eastern building and look at the papers taped to the wall by the stairwell. Flyer No. 2: Shinra HQ...on the first floor, check out the board with the papers on it near the elevators. The only time you can read this flyer is at the beginning of the game or when you raid Midgar in Disc 2. Flyer No. 3: Gold Saucer...go to the Ghost Square and enter the hotel. Read the sign that says 'SHOP' next to the shop entrance. Flyer No. 4: Cosmo Canyon...check the left wood post of the Tigerlily Arms Shop. Flyer No. 5: Cosmo Canyon...the gold paper by the door on the second floor of the inn (the entrance is behind some hanging cloth near the bonfire). Flyer No. 6: Utai...the bottom floor of Yuffie's house; it's the wall scroll to the right of the doorway. You can't get there unless you've done the sub-quest (refer to the 'Bonus Areas' section).
All 7 Fever What you want to do for getting the all 7 fever is to have a party member with exactly 7777HP at the beginning of a battle. Try to achieve this by using potions and equipping different types of materia, this will take a while and you won’t always succeed but you should try to see it at least once. Entering the battle like this will prompt the message All 7 fever. The enhanced character will act as if berserk was cast on him. It will attack each time if the time bar is filled and as long as the character hits the enemy that character will do 7777HP of damage. A major drawback to this ‘trick’ is that the characters health will drop to 1HP after the battle and you will have a hard time reproducing the trick. Raising Chocobos Be warned that raising chocobos will take a lot of time and money although you can stop whenever you want. The golden chocobo you will eventually get is the ultimate transport. It will be able to cross large bodies of water, climb mountains and get to areas even the highwind can’t get (well you can get there you just can’t land). You can start raising chocobos as soon as Cloud has disappeared in the lifestream. I would recommend to play until you have him back though because you will have to fight a lot of battles to raise your chocobos and even Cloud can use the extra combat training. First step is to go to the chocobo farm and buy all the stables the old man has to offer (6). If you threw away your chocobo lure you can buy a new one from choco billy in the back of the farm. Equip the lure and check out the chocobo tracks that are scattered all over the ‘world’. Capture chocobos using the method described in my walkthrough under (KALM AND THE CHOCOBO FARM). Only send the best chocobos back to the farm (very good and excellent) and try to have some running chocobos and some walking chocobos. Go there and put two of them into the stables. You can now name them and check their gender. The running chocobo should be female and the walking one male. Now you are going several Carob nuts to mate your chocobos, you can use other nuts but the chances of success will decrease dramatically if you do. Take the Highwind and fly to the northern continent. East of bone village you can see a patch of dark green grass. Equip your steal materia and run around on that patch until you get into a fight with a large red dinosaur-like creature. Steal from him and get a carob nut then kill the creature. Repeat this until you have about 5 carob nuts. By now you should have two chocobos in your stables and 5 carob nuts. Go to the farm and buy the most expensive greens from the Chocobo sage on the northern continent. His house is hidden in the mountains and has a grassy patch next to it for the highwind to land (If you have a lot of time on your hand the try and returning at regular intervals to learn from him how to breed chocobos). Start feeding these greens to the chocobos until their abilities no longer improve then mate the female and the male chocobo using the carob nut. With any luck you will now have either a green or a blue chocobo. If this doesn’t work after a couple of times go to the gold saucer and to the chocobo square. Sign up for the races and race both chocobos until you got no chance of winning. The chocobos will now have a higher class and the chance of getting a green or blue chocobo after breeding should have increased. Feed the green or blue chocobo with (most expensive) greens until it’s abilities are also at maximum. Mate the green or blue chocobo with one of the yellow ones of the opposite gender. Now you should have a blue and a green chocobo. If you don’t continue trying until you have and race the last chocobo too if it still doesn’t work. The green chocobo must have the opposite gender of the blue chocobo for the breeding to continue. Feed your newest chocobo until the abilities are at maximum and race both the green and the blue chocobo to the highest class they can manage. You should now have a green and a blue chocobo of opposite gender that both have the highest class attainable for them and are both fed until their abilities have reached maximum. Now you are going to need a couple of Zeio nuts. To the northeast of the chocobo farm you will find a couple of small islands with one of the middle ones having some woodlands on it. Run around in this woodland until you have to fight goblins. From them you can steal Zeio nuts. Try to get 2 or 3 so if your breeding fails you can try again. Head back to the chocobo farm and mate the green chocobo with the blue one and with any luck you will now have a black chocobo. While the blue could traverse waters (not unlike the tiny Bronco) and the green could climb mountains the black can now do both. To receive the ultimate transportation the gold chocobo you will now have to mate your black chocobos with one of your yellow ones (preferably an excellent one) using again the Zeio nut. This will take a while so be patient because the gold chocobo will be able to go places even the highwind can’t land.
Special islands Starting from Cosmo Canyon take the highwind and head south. You will notice a small island that is not shown on the world map. This island is called cactus island and Final Fantasy 3 players will find the well known Cactrots (here: sabotenders) there. Nothing special actually but nice to know about. One more island can be found at the northeastern corner of the world map. This island is volcano shaped and filled with forest. There is a cave there and inside it you can find a materia. You will need a gold chocobo to get there though. There are also several caves scattered across the world that can usually only be reached by the gold chocobo or a combination between the Highwind and a black chocobo.

Quadra Magic This can be combined with Spell or Summon Materia. When used, the spell strikes 4 times, with the target randomly chosen each time. This Materia works with every magic spell and summon skill except for Escape and Knights of Round. Find: One of the caves scattered on the world map. Find: Receive as a prize in chocobo races at the Gold Saucer. Counter Attack Like the magic Counter attack you will counterattack with the linked materia. This time you will have to link it with a yellow materia though for it to work. Again the chance of success will increase by 20% for each level. Find: Northern Crater Final Attack If a character equipped with this skill dies the character will activate the magic attached to this materia. The higher the level the more often can you activate this ability. Find: A prize you can win at the Gold Saucer's Battle Square Added Cut Use the materia attached to this materia and you will perform an additional melee attack once the spell has been cast. Do not combine this with heal, restore or barrier materias because you will attack your own party. Find: Look on the 'switching path' in the Mountain Crossroads area (it's where you can use your map in the 2nd disk, just before the snowfield, after the snowboarding). Steal As Well After using the materia that this is combined with, you'll attempt to steal from the enemy affected by the previous materia. Find: In a cavern above Wutai (you need to be able to cross the fire-pits before you can reach it). Added Effect Combined with certain magic (green) materias your weapon or your armor will receive that ability. (e.g. combining this materia with a fire materia on your weapon would make you do fire attacks when attacking) Find: Cosmo Canyon in the cave that you and Bugenhagen explore. Elemental Like the added effect materia this will give the armor or the weapon the abilities of the materia attached to it. It has however special effects when used on armor LV1: Damage inflicted is reduced to 1/2 if it is the corresponding type. LV2: No damage is received if it is the corresponding type. LV3: Gain HP if you are struck with the corresponding type of attack. This materia will not work with all materia, but you can see that by checking you character’s status Find: From the mayor of Midgar on the 62nd floor of the Shinra HQ. Huge Materia and Master Materia How to get the huge materias is described in the walkthrough belonging to this section. After leaving the huge materias in Cosmo Canyon you will be able to get special master materias there if you do the following: Train until you have master materia for all the Magic (green) materia, master materia for all command (yellow) materia and master materia for all the summon (red materia). Go to the huge materia sin Cosmo Canyon and you can exchange them for the following materia: Master Magic: Cast any magic spell Huge Green materia and a 'master' level for all 21 magic materia. Master Command: Use most commands Huge Yellow materia and a ’master' level for seven command materia (see below). Master Summon: Use all summon spells Huge Red materia and a 'master' level for all 16 summon materia. Bahamut Form Zero: A summon materia Huge Blue materia and the Bahamut and Neo Bahamut summon materia orbs. Be aware that once you have mastered every materia this way the huge master materia no longer increases or decreases character skills.
Extreme Limit Breaks In Final Fantasy 7 every one of your characters can get an extreme limit brake manual somewhere in the world. Once found, these manuals can only be used if you have learned all other limit skills already. Most characters have two limit breaks per limit level with the exception of Vincent, Cid and Cait Sith who all have only one. To learn the second limit break of each level use the first limit break a couple of times (starts of with ~10 and gets less the more limit levels you have). Then you will have to kill a certain amount of enemies to get the first limit break of the next level (about 40). Every character has 2 limit breaks for the first three limit levels and 1 limit break for the fourth (this is the extreme limit break). The only exceptions are Cait Sith and Vincent (see below for further details). Here is an explanation on how to get the first limit break of the fourth limit level also known as the extreme limit break: CLOUD You must earn 32,000 battle points at the Gold Saucer in one visit. You can then trade them in for the manual. BARRET Get it from a lady wearing a hat in one of the buildings in North Corel after the train ride to get the huge materia. TIFA I am sorry to report that I don’t know. I’ve heard somewhere that you are supposed to get it by playing the Highwind theme on the piano in Tifa’s room in Nibelheim. I managed to learn to play a couple of songs on that piano including the songs needed but I never got anything else but one gil. AERIS Check out the sleeping man section at the beginning of this document to get Aeris’s extreme limit manual. You will have to use the buggy to take all those steps because Aeris won’t be with you for the entire game. RED XIII Go to Nibelheim and unlock the safe in the right wing of the shinra mansion. You'll get Red XIII’s manual after defeating lost numbers. Check the walkthrough if you want to know how to open the safe. YUFFIE Return to Wutai after completing Yuffie's sub-quest. Head to the pagoda and beat the five bosses within--she'll get her manual once Godo (her father) is defeated in battle. VINCENT Vincent only has one limit break for each limit level… Once you have the submarine or a Green, Black, or Gold Chocobo, go to the waterfall in the middle of the Western Continent. If you enter the waterfall from the left side with Vincent in your party, he'll meet a girl from his past. You have to visit the falls twice, once during Disc 2 and again in Disc 3; it's during your second visit that you'll get his manual. CID After you get a submarine, go underwater and search for the wrecked plane near the southern part of the World Map, between the Western and Eastern continents. His manual is in one of the treasure chests inside the plane. CAIT SITH Cait Sith only has 2 limit breaks one for the first level and one for the second level. Cait Sith has no extreme limit break (or none that I know of).
