Voodoo Girl was created to fill a gap. Not only did I feel that I didn't have any significant work in my programming portfolio, I also felt that I needed to create a game that my little brother could play when he grew up enough. Thusly, the game uses very little violence and absolutely no profanity. The original version was going to have hip profanity, but when I looked it over, I realised that this didn't add anything to the game. It just limited the potential audience. With that in mind, I forged forward with the surrealistic cartoon world that became Voodoo Girl: Queen of the Darned. Just because it doesn't have any profanity or violence doesn't mean it isn't subversive, though ;)

Anyway, after one year of development, I finally finished VG:QotD, and released it free-to-play to the general public. It is written to use the AGI system, Sierra's Adventure Game Interpreter. A couple of good modern cross-platform interpreters exist, including NAGI and Sarien.

The actual Voodoo Girl game file to use with these modern interpreters is available for download: Voodoo Girl Game and Voodoo Girl Game + Source Code
