About The Club

Dover Ladies Football Club

Dover Ladies FC was founded in 1997 with a compliment of older, experienced players and younger members who had been coached on Saturday mornings. In September 1998 they entered the South East Counties Womens Football League in Division 2 and were league winners the same season.

1999/2000

Being Promoted to Division 1 meant playing a lot more experienced teams, but Dover Ladies played well travelling even further away and gaining some good wins along the way. Relegation was never on the cards and they stayed in Division 1.

2000/2001

An excellent season. Dover Ladies were league runner ups and have been promoted into the Premier Division. Achieving their second promotion in three seasons.

Training

The Ladies currently train at the Danes playing fields on Friday evenings between 6 and 8pm. During the winter months they use the Astro at Archers Court, although this is becoming very expensive and winter training 'eats' up the club funds. They welcome any offers of 'floodlit' facilities during the winter months.

Sponsorship

Due to the high costs of travelling would welcome any help that is offered. They would like to especially thank Relyon for lending them a minibus it is a great help. This season they have to travel as far away as the Isle of Wight, Chichester and Woking to name but a few. The clubs main sponsor is Jacetts and they have helped alot over the past few seasons suppling the ladies with kit, they have been a big help.

Matches

Dover Ladies play at the Danes on Sunday afternoons at 2.00pm and would appreciate any supporters that cheer them on. Detalis of home games will appear in Dover Athletic men's programme and the local papers.
