Training
Friday 15th March will be our last training session at Archers Court. There will be no training on the 22nd or 29th March. Training will commence again on Friday 5th April, at the Danes. There will not be sufficient light to train until 8.00pm, so please be prompt so we can start ASAP.
There will be extra training sessions on Sunday 24th March & Sunday 7thn April, 1.00pm, at River Recreation Ground, all club members are welcome to attend, all squad members are expected to attend.
A Night Out
The Civil Service have organised a charity fundraising team night out, on Friday 22nd March, at Bluebirds. This is for any team of any sport who wishes to go, wearing team kit. The tickets are one pound, all money raised goes towards Demelza House. The club is hoping to purchase 30 tickets, they will be available from Val on a first come first serve basis. The club kit to be worn will be available from Hayley Hollett.
This night out is being run by the Civil Service and not the ladies Football Club, therefore the Ladies Football Club Cannot be held responsible for any under 18's who attend.
5km Run/Jog/Walk
Race for life is aseries of events across the UK wheer women only can walk, run or jog 5km to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Last year a small group of mad members of the club took part in this event in Herene Bay, Natalie Curtis ran the 5km like a whippet, Val and Liz walked(leisurely strolled), the rest of us jogged along all finishing in good times. It was an excellent day out and a lot of money was raised for a very good cause.
This year we hope to enter again but with a lot more members taking part. It is due to take place on Sunday 21st July, 11am at The Leas in Folkestone. Theer is a charge to enter (7.50 for adults 4.50 for under 18's) but all entry money and sponsorship raised goes to Cancer Researcg UK. This will be on Friday 17th May, at the Railway Club, River. Keep this date free. Further dates will follow.
