December 4th/2002: Sundin Leaves, Sabres improve to 6-0 at home

After their 8-3 victory aganist Vancouver, Sundin was approached by a journalist and had this to say to them "It´s not likely I will return to Buffalo after the way I was treated. Now I only hope I get to play with Jaromir again, and we´ll make the Canucks a team to fear in the playoffs". All GM Jack Leavers could say was "Good Riddance!".

The Sabres continue to impress at home where they have gone unbeaten & undefeated in 6. Head coach Brian Sutter seemed pleased when asked about that run "Yes i am happy about, its good to see that the team can play well at home infront of great fans here in Buffalo. Also i'm looking to Boyes to take over from the departed Sundin on the 1st line.

The Sabres also announced today their new captians and alternates for both Buffalo & Rochester.

Rochester: John Slaney - Marc Rodgers, Jeff Shantz

Expectations & Targets

Sabres Fans expect us to win the Stanely Cup once again. But in my eyes we don't have experience to make it all way, our team plays in a highly competitive Eastern conference. Where it will take a supreme performance to make it to the playoffs. We will of course try our best to get there, but that is all you can ask.
Our Target is play-off qualification, how do after that we rely on our team gelling together, and playing for each other, and believing in each other.
