Samus made her debut in Nintendo's first Metroid game released in 1988, titled "Metroid". She later played in "Metroid II" or "The Return of Samus", and "Metroid III", or "Super Metroid". The first game was made for the NES. Metroid II is played of the Gameboy, and Super Metroid was created for the SNES. Nintendo's newest works are Metroid Prime for the GameCube and Metroid Fusion for the GBA.
A bit of Samus History: She was the only child born in the family. When she was somewhere between the ages of 5-8, a pack of Space Pirates invaded the home her and her family lived in and killed everybody in the surrounding area. All except for one little girl... Samus. The Chozo, a peaceful race from a planet nearby, decided to come down to the planet Samus lived on to investigate the damage. What they found in the rubble surprised them - a little girl who was hurt, but not badly injured. The Chozo took her to their planet and learned of her ways, taking note of her slightly "warlike" attitude. Even though the Chozo are peaceful, they still managed to train Samus in various war arts. When she came of age, the Chozo finally gave Samus the Power Suit we all know and love. The suit was like a key... a key that would unlock the door to new worlds as the Bounty Hunter searched to eliminate every remaining Space Pirate in the Galaxy. Armed with weapons such as the Power Beam, Morph Ball, and Missiles, Samus is known to blast her way through quite a few incredible journeys.
Aww... how kawaii... a pic of Samus without her helmet ^_^. I personally like this picture much more than the other images with her having long, flowing blonde hair and blue eyes. Or the purple hair and brown eyes, from another picture I remember finding somewhere on the web. Gah... people these days.
