Q: What is the Official Nintendo website URL?
A: http://www.nintendo.com/ ; Or you can click here.

Q: Why did you guys decide to make this site?
A: Well, if you can tell, both of us are huge Nintendo fans. We've been obsessing about Nintendo ever since we were babies, so we decided to make a website on Nintendo to express that.

Q: When exactly did Nintendo start?
A: This is a vague question. Nintendo themselves started in the late 1880's (THAT'S NOT A TYPO!), but they made playing cards. Only later did they begin making video games.

Q: What's the whole deal with this Rare/Microsoft situation?
A: First, the facts. Nintendo sold all 49% of it's share in Rareware, the company that brought you Donkey Kong Country, Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark. Microsoft then bought Rareware for $375 million. Nintendo saw that Rare wasn't raking in enough profit, seeing that less than 2% of fiscal year sales were of Rare. So they each parted ways.

Now the opinions. One thing, you may be angered that Nintendo is never going to see Perfect Dark Zero or anything like that. For one thing, what was Rare's last game? Star Fox Adventures, right? Then before that, it stretches two years when Conker's Bad Fur Day was released. You know, Rare used to be a huge multiplatform company with dozens upon dozens of games coming each year. Now look at the amount. A mere handful. A company cannot survive with a release schedule like this. I think it was good that Rare left Nintendo, not because I hate them (I personally loved Perfect Dark), but since they actively hurted Nintendo with the way their games took too long to make. Rare's GBA games may still be in development, but the GCN ones are cancelled.

And if you hate Microsoft (and who doesn't?) and think that the Xbox is going to survive off of Rare, well think again. M$ has already lost around $2 billion from the Xbox, and how will they make a profit from Rare when they lost $375 million to buy them, plus the costs of funding their projects and they way Rare takes too long? In fact, it actually may be a good thing. Rare announced five games for the Xbox in two years. Hah! I think it's more like two games in five years.

Q: Can other people use the content/pictures on this website on their own site?
A: Content, no. Images, yes. The pictures on this website were found on other image databases and can be used freely on other websites, unless otherwise noted. AIM Icons should only be used as AIM icons! If you really want them on your site, go ahead and put them there, but be SURE to provide a link to the Nintendo Archives!

Q: Where can the webmaster and/or webmistress be contacted?
A: E-mail and AIM SN's are located in the Webmaster and Webmistress pages.
