MARIO BROS. CLASSIC
As a replay value addition, Nintendo threw in the Mario Bros. Classic side-game into SMA. Mario Bros. was the original Mario game, first appearing on Atari, I believe. Later, when Nintendo started making their own systems, it appeared on the NES.

Mario Bros. has a slightly less "fairy-tale" aspect to it. Like Mario and Luigi are meant to do, they are plumbers in the sewers. Various enemies, such as spiked turtles and crabs, will come out of the pipes and raid the sewers. Your goal is, obviously, to defeat them all. After you defeat all of the enemies that appear in that area, you finish the "Phase," or in other words, the stage.

As the game progresses, the enemies become trickier, faster, and the stages become slippier with many more enemies. Soon, it gets to the point of near impossibility. The game never ends. Once it gets to Phase 99, it will begin to repeat from Phase 01 (I believe), or just repeat Phase 99 over and over infinitely.

The game is rather fun, and obviously, has some slight new features added in the SMA version. For example, ther are now Multiplayer capabilities (which I, unfortunately, know little about since I've never played it). With that introduction to the game, please check out the various sections under my Mario Bros. Classic catagory for more information and strategies.
