Atomic Theory Timeline

There were several people involved in the Atomic Theory. This timeline is by no means complete, it only contains 41 of the scientists who worked on it. You will notice there is no 200-800 AD time period. This is because there are no scientists who contributed in that period of time. To learn more about a scientist just rest your mouse on their name.

Aristotle belived that matter was made of 4 qualities: dry, wet, hot, cold. His ideas burried the theories of Democrites for centuries. Democrites belived that things could not change into something absolutely different. He belived things were made of small moving particles called atoms, and that they were indivisible. Titus Lucretius Carus expanded upon the theories of Epicurus. His works brought the ideas of Democritus and Epicurus to the Romans. 400 BC to 201 AD
