Basic Rushing
If you're new, you probably don't
know what rushing is. Rushing is building units fast, early in a game,
to attack. I'll give instructions for doing this with a Terran base, although
it can be adapted for other races. Obviously, you have an easier time with
other races because you don't have to fill Photon Cannons with Zealots,
ect.
The List
Here's a summarized list of commands

Build 6 SCV's, 5 probes or 5 drones.

Build 2 barracks and a supply depot

Train as many marines as you can in 3-5 minutes

Attack

Expand as soon as possible

Begin Harvesting Vespene Gas

Build an Academy and start making lots of Marines
and Firebats
Make sure you have at least 3500 minerals and 500
gas before going on

Build a Factory, and a machine shop when you can.

Research Siege Mode while building 3 Siege Tanks

Build Bunkers and Missile Turrets to cut off Choke
Points

Fill the Bunkers with -
4 Marines if against Terran,
3 Marines and 1 firebat if against Zerg
2 Marines and 2 firebats if against Protoss

Make a row behind the bunkers of Missile Turrets
and Siege Tanks

Make Another row of Bunkers behind that, as seen
here:

The numbers can be changed to accommodate bigger
or smaller Choke points- B stands for Bunker, T stands for Turret, and
St Stands for Siege Tank. Slashes are impassable terrain <I.E. water,
raised jungle>

Make 12- 24 Firebats so, if anyone gets in, you can
kill them.

Make turrets around your base, blocking anywhere
Air Units could get in. Make sure that they can cover each other. Build
bunkers and fill them with marines to cover the turrets.

Build up your attack forces

Quickly research everything you can, using the minerals
you've amassed over this time.

Expand and Attack, if possible.

Repeat the last step when ever you can.
