The Review

How could they possibly inprove on the classic original? One word. Manual. The manual changed everything about Pro Skater. If you thought the game was good before, well you aint seen nothing yet.

Everything from the first Pro Skater is here along with new moves, and a create a skater and park options. You can even play as Spider-Man. Hard to believe but true.

The new moves range from the weird like the Gymnist Plant, to the all incredeble manual. Just what is the manual you say? Let me tell you then. All you have to do is tap down and up for a normal maunual or up and down for a nose manual. When you manual, your skater balances his skateboard in a wheelie. It does not look like much, but it has the power to link moves together for Huge Combos. For example, you do grind a rail which gains you a good amount of points. In the first Pro Skater, you would be done with it. But if you were to add a manual to the end of the grind, you would have created a small combo of grind to manual. If you were to keep on going foward you would have the option to grind more rails, peform more tricks, or even end the combo with a trick off a half pipe.

There are also an excellent create a skater option which makes you create a custom skater of your choice. I like to create freaks with this editor. Ever seen a extremly fat skater challange an extremly thin one? You can even edit their moves and what your skater does best at.

Also with the new create a park option you may never get tired of this game. Setting impossible grinds and things that nobody could ever do is fun. Or not. Just create something that is fun. You can even use this editor to create a pretty damn good version of the first level in the original Pro Skater.

The Score

Graphics: The graphics seem to be improved over the first Pro Skater but that was obvious.
