Bigger than the first...
Banjo and Kazooie are back. What more do you need to know?More?Fine then.Better than BK and a whole lot bigger too.Item colecting has been toned down a lot and this is for the better. Anyway, the evil Gruntilda has gotten out of her grave with the help of her 2 sisters. But after 2 years living under a rock, the once mighty Grunty has been reduced to a skeleton. So they head back out to a new lair and figure out a way to restore Gruntys body. But she has killed Bottles the mole before she has left.So now Banjo and Kazooie have to stop her again.I hate that mole. Why couldent he just stay dead? This time, the moves are taught to you my Bottles brother,JamJars,a military mole if there is such a thing.Mumbo is now playable so a new character named Humba Wumba transforms you into things now. Every level has some sort of conection to it,which makes it stand apart from the rest. For example, race a deranged bird lady twice in level 2,and she will reapear in level 9.Or for an example that makes sence, you see a traped creature in level 1.You play for 16 hours untill you figure out that something is wrong with the game as a great gamemaster like yourself would have figured out by now how to free the trapped creature. You return the copy and exchange it for a new one.Same thing happens. You give up and go to level 2.In level 2 you find a guy looking for his lost partner. After finding a secret passageway that you can get into after finding a new move in level 3,you are able to free the trapped creature. One new Jiggy for doing something in 3 levels. And more complicated versions await you. A new FPS mode this game has.Entertaining it is.Not Perfect Dark, but plays the same. From aiming to strafting, and shooting,uh...eggs.At least you get Grenade Eggs.Thats right...Grenade Eggs... The 5 diffrent types of eggs range from a normal egg to a mechanical bird that blows up.Wait Mr Great Fruit Man,I am confused.Confused?Confused you say?Yeah, you will be... The Standard Egg is your main egg.And can be your best egg.Not as powerfull as the Grenade, but shoots out a whole lot faster that any other egg. The Fire Egg does more damage to foes, and can light up the enemy on fire, causing them to run around in circles. The Grenade Egg hits the hardest but fires the slowest.Just dont get hit by the blast or you will be the laughing stock of loserland for the next 75 years. The Ice Egg dosent do any damage, but freezes enemies for a while alowing you to get in a nice clean, and cheap hit in multiplayer. The Clockwork Kazooie Bomb Egg is not even a fireing egg.It is more of a remote controlled mine that you can move around.Explodes when pushing B or after 20 seconds. Rare included a nice mulitplayer game in this. Not as good as others, but way better than DK64.The PD styles are the best, but if you want to play these, just put in a copy of GD or PD instead. |
But not as big as DK64.
Graphics:Just as pretty as they ever were,BT even adds real time shadow effects. This is a great acomplishment for N64 if you did not know.10/10 Sound:The music for every level is catchy and has a new overworld theme too.Deep in the game there is even an music option to replay any song in the game.Nice touch. The character voices take time to get used to,unless you are already used to them.Everything else is good too, except for some screams of certain characters.9/10 Control:Like before, the control is good as before.Only some things are a little hard to move around.Like the van,T-Rex,and even Kazooie herself.8/10 How Fun Is It?:Unlike Banjo-Kazooie,this game is a lot more fun.It is also a lot harder.Which makes it more fun.10/10 The Fruit:Is there no fruit in this game either? What a sad sad day for fruit.1/10 Final Score:10/10 |
And that is a good thing.
Rare comes out with another game and taunts players with the promise of Banjo-Threeie at the end of the game. Now I have to wait 2 more years for another Banjo game. But what a game it will be.Now,I dont think I want to see the return of Jolly... |
