Banjo-Kazooie

Released in 1997

Object of the game:To save your sister from the clutches of the evil witch

Hillbilly Wars

When the game was first announced, people either loved it or hated it.The game seemed way to cutesy and childish.Dont be fooled. There is a lot of fun to be had.

The game starts off with an evil witch named Gruntilda takes Banjo's sister to steal her beauty.Yeah it confuses me too.Anyway, after learning your basic moves, you are off to the witches lair where the real fun begins.

In ordinary platfrom style, you go around doing things that award you Jiggies to open up new worlds. The bear and bird duo works well, and is something fresh.

The levels can be very large,or very small. The haunted house level, seems to be smaller than level 2.And the haunted house level is level 6 or 7.

Of course, there is the standard snow and forest worlds and you have played them all in platformers before.

Collecting is a big part of the game.Be sure to collect all the musical notes you see.Or you will be very angry at yourself.Along with collecting notes, you also collect honeycomb peices that work like the heart peices of Zelda games.Only this time 6 of them will grant you an extra life peice.

Something new that this game adds that sets it apart from the other games like it is the ability to transform into animals to solve more puzzles. You can be a Termite,Crocodile,Walrus,Bee and Pumpkin. So the pumpkin is not an amimal.Who cares anymore?I type this out at 3:42 in the morning.

Struming the ol' Banjo

Graphics:The graphics are very good. These graphics are quite impresive considering that the game does not use the expansion pack.10/10

Sound:The sound is good too.Every level has some catcy soundtrack to it.You also hear fading in and out of music. For example,if you were traveling around in the beach level and dove underwater, the music would be muffled and would still be the same music. If you went in a cave, the same music would sound dark and dreary. The way people talk in this game is anoying at first, but you will get used it.9/10

Control:What do you expect? It is good.Everything works well. But flying around is sort of hard while swimming could not get any easier.Beats me whats going on here...9/10

How fun is it?:A lot of fun.Just play the game already.Who cares if it seems to be ancient and the new Banjo-Tooie is so much better than it?I had more fun with this one.10/10

The Fruit:Ack!Where is the fruit?I looked near and far,but alas,I could not find any fruit anywhere. What is Rare doing to us?Do they hate fruit?Do they?DO THEY!?!1/10

Final Score:10/10

G'Huck!

Rare creates another great game because Nintendo just delayed another. But seriously,a great game.
