Lightsaber

Lightsabers are perhaps the most devastating of all hand-held weapons. Unlike the blaster, they are not projectile weapons, nor do they fire projectiles. Instead, a Lightsaber relies strickly on energy to provide the deadly blade. That blade, of which only the Lightsaber uses, is able to slice and cut its way through anything, except a few extremely rare rock layers and metals. The Lightsaber cannot be weilded by everyone, though, it takes many years of skill and practice to master the art of the Lightsaber, and even then, few can even reach the ability to use the full potential of a Lightsaber. The energy which courses through a Lightsaber creates a humming noise, unique to each and every lightsaber. A Lightsaber is the choice weapon of the Jedi, and indeed, only a person with Jedi skills and reflexes could use one properly. The Lightsaber can be used for attack, defense, escape, and anything else its owner uses it for. Lightsabers differ from blasters because they do not have a range, they do not "fire", nor do they shoot. A Lightsaber (also known as "laser swords") is a single blade of pure energy, distributes by a special device, which cannot be duplicated without an exact knowledge of a Lightsaber. A Lightsaber is so difficult to make and design, that only the skilled Jedi and Padawan Jedi are able to make them.

Building a Lightsaber is part of the Jedi's training. While a Padawan (learner of the Jedi arts) may take several months to finally complete his Lightsaber, iin the most dire needs, an experienced Jedi Knight can make a Lightsaber is just a few days, but even then, it would not have any special features. Some of the most notable Lightsabers ever made were created by the Sith, Darth Vader and Darth Maul. Darth Vader, though his Lightsaber was simpler than Darth Maul's, created a Lightsaber with several "Adegan" crystals (the crystals which determine the length, power, and strength of the blade), so that he could adjust his Lightsaber's length, and strength. Darth Maul, on the other hand, made a two-headed Lightsaber, or a Lightsaber containing blades on both ends. This was far simpler to create, but is far more difficult to weild and control. The problem with a two bladed Lightsaber is that those who weild and attempt to control it will find that they are constantly in danger of slicing themselves in half. Darth Maul was a master of the Lightsaber, as only he could weild one and attack two foes at once. Some other notable Lightsabers include multiple Lightsabers on a single Jedi (or Sith). A Lightsaber's basic design starts with the handle. This must be a minimum of 20 to 30 centimeters long, to allow both hands, or a single hand, to grip it with ease. Inside the handle is the energy source, the Adegan crystal (or multiple Adegan crystals), and a concave disc at the very top of the Lightsaber. The power flows through the energy source, into the Adegan crystal(s), and then is focused by the concave disc, giving the Lightsaber shape, and direction. The Lightsaber has many benefits, compared to a regular blaster. First of all, the Lightsaber energy is able to deflect any kind of laser (including blaster lasers), and it is able to cut through anything, including flesh. When a Jedi Knight hold and manages a Lightsaber, he uses it for defence, never for attack, unless absolutely necessary. The Sith, on the other hand, primarily use their Lightsabers for attack, and rely on the Force for defence. The Lightsaber, when it cuts through flesh, will cauterize the flesh, minimizing loss of blood. Aside from flesh, Lightsabers are able to cut through metal, steel, wood, or any other kind of metal. There is one exception to that fact, though, but unfortunately, the name of the rock is unknown. Lightsabers are by far the most impressive weapons ever created. They can only be handled by Jedi, or people with an ability over the Force, as without those basic necessities, a Lightsaber is useless. They are powerful, and extremely useful weapons and utilities, and are from a more civilized age.
