Megaman Battle Network is the most un-traditional Megaman game since Megaman's Soccer. It's a sort of Action/Turn-Based/RPG style game. I like this cause I'm an RPG fan. This game features Megaman.EXE, a PET, or Portable Exploration Terminal,and Lan,the boy who you control in non-network situations. These are used to help people navigate the Internet. Until recently, there was a bug in the rom where you couldn't advance past a certain point, but it's fixed now, so I can enjoy more EXE goodness. It's a pre-rendered background type world, with semi-side scrolling battles. You move Megaman one block at a time while using special battle chips to your advantage. It's a pretty fun game with impressive graphics for a handheld system. I really like how the battle system came out, and overall, the game is very innovative. Megaman Battle Network gets an 8.5/10. If you've got a GBA, go buy this! If not, buy one or just get the ROM!
