Both Rockman DASH and Rockman DASH 2 will be ported to the new Sony handheld, the PSP. Rockman DASH 1 releases on August 9th, 2005 and Rockman DASH 2 will release one month after on September 9th, 2005. You can view the official Japanese website for each game with these 2 links:

Rockman DASH 2

Nothing has been said so far about any new features the PSP versions will have, but if any are announced, I'll be sure to update this news article. I'm very excited about this for many reasons, mostly because of the fact that this will certainly boost the popularity of DASH very much. The PSP is a brand new and popular system, having the 2 greatest games being re-released on it will bring so many new fans into the series, I can just imagine it right now, a flood of new generation fans who discovered DASH by way of the PSP ports. Hopefully Capcom of America brings the games here to America as MegaMan Legends 1 and 2, for a TRUE INTERNATIONAL LEGENDS REVIVAL!

Inafune Interview Prooves his continued interest in Rockman Dash

According to the super MegaMan news site MegaMan Network, the April issue of Play Magazine has an interview mister Keiji Inafune himself, creator of everything Rockman (MegaMan). This interview is amazing, it gives us a real personal image of him, and what he thinks about certain aspects of the Rockman universe. But most importantly, when he was asked to comment on the Rockman Dash series (known as MegaMan Legends in America), he said the most amazing thing:

"What can I say? I love it. And you can bet when I get the chance, and more importantly the free time, you WILL be seeing a sequel to this."

HOLY CRAP! This explains our lack of sequel, you see... aw man, Inafune still WANTS to make a sequel, it's just, it must be the upper members of Capcom, not allowing him to do so. You see, his Rockman.EXE series (Battle Network) and Onimusha series must be doing so well, that the money-makers of Capcom don't really want him to stop making those games. Well, that's just my opinion. But this interview PROOVES that Inafune still wants to make another Legends game, so now... it's only a matter of time, and a matter of if the Capcom executives wish to allow him to make another sequel, and a matter of if Capcom of America is willing to translate and import it over here... Still, this is a great new hope for us all! Hang in there everyone, and let's keep hoping that Inafune will get his chance to continue his TRUE greatest creation, the MegaMan Legends series!

Servbots to appear in Dreamwave MegaMan Comic Book?

You may or may not know that a comic book company known as Dreamwave is making a MegaMan comic book scheduled to hit comic book store shelves September 24th. What does this mean to a MegaMan Legends fan? Not much really, seeing how the story is going to revolve around the original MegaMan series, but an interesting interview with the comic's creator has appeared on the net. In the interview, he is asked if Servbots would appear in the comic, and he said "Look for em". Does this mean that the Servbots might appear in the comic book!? I can't wait to find out. For more info, here is a link to where the article was made in Dreamwave's message board. Hopefully we'll see our little yellow guys in the comic!

UPDATE: Well, I just picked up my copy of issue #1 today, and sadly, I didn't see any servbots in it anywhere. I am surprised though, because there were quite a few hidden little fun things to look for throughout the comic book. Why just the first page alone was filled with funny hidden pictures, like a wanted sign for Zero, and an advertisement for a retro Nintendo system, with an 8 bit sprite of MegaMan. But sadly, no servbot, hopefully in issue #2!? We'll just have to wait and see!

Is MegaMan Zero 2, the prequel to MegaMan Legends!?

Ok Legends fans, this is pretty big. As you most likely know, Capcom has been REAL busy lately with MegaMan games (except MegaMan Legends... darnit). I mean, MegaMan & Bass, MegaMan Zero, MegaMan Network Transmission, and now... there working on the sequel to MegaMan Zero, MegaMan Zero 2. I've been watching every MegaMan game closely for a long time now, and thanks to Capcom's RockMan Perfect Memories, we know that MegaMan Legends takes place on the same timeline as the other MegaMan games (see the below article). Now... this means, that if MegaMan Zero keeps running it's course, it'll eventually collide into MegaMan Legends. Maybe I'm just overreacting, but... here, look at this...
This is a screenshot of MegaMan Zero 2
Don't worry, it doesn't spoil anything... I suppose. But look at the picture carefully what's that in the background? Doesn't that look ALOT like the red eye symbol seen almost everywhere in MegaMan Legends!?
BUM BUM BUM!!!
I don't know about you... but I can't wait until I get my hands on MegaMan Zero 2.

RockMan Perfect Memories proves it!

Woo hoo! It's MegaMan's 15th year of exhistence, and Capcom did this big celebration thingy... well, in Japan at least. And part of this celebration was the release of a huge source book called RockMan Perfect Memories. On page 68 of this book, it proves that MegaMan Legends, is not a spin-off of the other MegaMan games (MegaMan Original, MegaMan X, MegaMan Zero). It was translated by a very trusted person, and now it's proof, MegaMan Legends takes place in the distant future from the X series. WOW! This still hasn't even sunken into my head. This means SO much to all MegaMan Legends fans... no longer will MegaMan Legends be referred to as a spin-off!
