Mirrors

Cloudy Mirror

Return to the Calm Lands and hop on a chocobo. Go back to the area where you first arrived in the Calm Lands, in the far south, and head over to the strange broken bridge on the far east. There should be a chocobo feather on the ground that will make your chocobo leap to a new area. Dismount and run up the path until you reach Remiem Temple. At the first chance (before you enter the temple), turn left. At the end of the path, you should see a sphere by a chocobo. Read the sphere, and follow directions. Now all you have to do is win the race, which should be absolutely no problem, even the first try. Don't worry about hitting poles or getting treasure chests (They have nothing in them).

Celestial Mirror

Board the airship and head to the Thunder Plains. Travel through to arrive at Macalania Woods-South. In the first section, you will see a mother and her son standing near a Save Sphere. She'll say that her husband is supposed to meet her and her son there. From there, go right. I believe once you go right two times, you will hit a group of people. One of them is the father. Talk to him until he follows you back to his wife and son. Once there, you'll notice the son is missing. Talk to both of the parents until they repeat themselves, then head up the strange glowing path near the Save Sphere. At the intersection, head north until you see the boy standing in front of a big crystal. Talk to him until he goes back to his parents. Then use the Cloudy Mirror on the crystal, changing the Cloudy Mirror into the Celestial Mirror.

Tidus

Caladbolg

Sun Crest

Return to the Zanarkand Dome to retrieve the first of the power up items for Tidus's Legendary Weapon. Travel all the way back to the Cloister of Trials, and back to where you fought Lady Yunalesca, the platform with broken staircases and flying rocks. Once there, you should see the treasure chest in the back, I believe. If not there, just keep checking around on the platform. You should find it.

Sun Sigil

The second power up item required can be obtained by racing the chocobo trainer in the Calm Lands and finishing with a time of 0:0:0. To do this, try and get every balloon possible, and avoid all birds. Don't worry about beating the trainer, as long as you get all the balloons before her. The best way to manuever most easily, don't hold down on the directional pad button. Instead, tap it to the desired strength, and stop. When you want to change direction, tap it in the opposite direction.

The Blade

Now, to actually get the sword itself, all you have to do is beat the chocobo trainer in a Catcher Chocobo race. Then head back to the upper northwest section of the Calm Lands, where a guard had once blocked a narrow pathway. Go down and into the gorge. There you'll be able to use the Celestial Mirror to acquire the Caladbolg.

Yuna

Nirvana

Moon Crest

Use the Airship to return to Besaid Isle, and then head down into the water. Go past the first small jut of land to a bay with a small beach, holding a treasure chest with the Moon Crest in it.

Moon Sigil

Now go to Remiem Temple, using the directions described above in Tidus's section. Make sure you have ALL of the aeons, even the secret ones! If you need help, you can check out the aeons page. Now go inside the temple to meet Belgemine. Accept the challenge and defeat all of her aeons. A doorway in the back of the room will open to reveal the Moon Sigil.

The Staff

Capture all 9 types of fiends in the Calm Lands region. Return to the monster arena owner, who will produce a treasure chest. Use the Celestial Mirror on it to reveal the Nirvana.

Auron

Masamune

Mars Crest

There are several ways to do this... The one that I used goes as follows: after losing the Chocobo Eater battle on the Mi'ihen Highroad, you'll fall down to the old section of the Highroad. Turn around to walk directly south. Keep walking until you come to a deadend with a treasure chest and open it to reveal the Mars Crest. The other way, which seems a little more confusing, involves using the Airship to return to the Highroad. Once there, either use a chocobo or walk on foot to the end of the road, at the gates. Then turn and go back, not the way you came, but to a path a little to the right of where you entered the area. Continue walking/riding all the way to the end of the path, where you'll find the treasure chest containing the Mars Crest.

Mars Sigil

Contrary to the strategy guide, this is not as hard as it may seem. There are two ways to do this: capture 10 of every fiend of a specific species (e.g., flans), or capture 10 fiends of the same kind in 10 areas. For example, capture 10 Dingos from Besaid, 10 Dinonixes from Kilika, 10 bombs from the Mi'ihen Highroad, 10 Fungaurs from the Djose Highroad, 10 Bunyips from Moonflow, 10 Larvas from the Thunder Plains, 10 Wasps from the Macalania Woods, 10 Zus from the Sanubia Desert (Bikanel Island), 10 Shreds from the Calm Lands, and 10 Bashuras from Mt. Gagazet. Don't worry, that's quite easy, despite its near-impossible appearance. After doing that, return to the Calm Lands and the monster arena owner will give you the Mars Sigil.

The Blade

First, return to the Calm Lands, and head up towards Mt. Gagazet. When you encounter the bridge, go down into the gorge. The first screen will have a save sphere. From there, go right until the screen changes. It should be there. If not, sorry, I kind of forgot. Now go back to the Mi'ihen Highroad, and rent another chocobo. Run along the Newroad until you reach the gates. Pass through them into the Mushroom Rock Road. Hugging the northern wall, walk past the first cave-like structure to the next one, which curves up and to a platform of Yevon. Ride that up to a statue of Lord Mi'ihen. Now place the Rusty Sword before the statue to reveal a glyph. Touch it to reveal the location of the Masamune.

Wakka

World Champion

Jupiter Crest

Return to Luca Stadium by way of Airship. Go up and into the locker room on the right, above the stairs. Inside one of the lockers you should find it.

Jupiter Sigil

After you receive Wakka's alternative Overdrives (Attack Reels, Status Reels, and Aurochs Reels), continue playing blitzball until the Sigil becomes available as a prize in a league or tournament match.

The Ball

First, you must have the Celestial Mirror. Now go to Luca, and into the Luca Cafe (not quite sure of the exact location of that). Then talk to the bartender to receive the ball. If she doesn't hand it over, it's because you haven't been playing blitzball enough. So go out there and blitz baby!

Kimahri

Spirit Lance

Saturn Crest

Use the airship to get to Mt. Gagazet. From there, use the teleport pad near the save sphere to get to the Cave Entrance. Then walk south, out of the cave, and around the wall of the fayth. After that, you'll arrive in an area with 6 or 8 pillars. In between the two closest ones on the right, you'll find a treasure chest containing the Crest.

Saturn Sigil

Return to Macalania Woods and capture all the blue butterflies without touching any red ones in the butterfly hunt game, in both Macalania Woods-Central and -North. Beware: the camera angle can really frustrate you in both areas!!

The Lance

Return to the Thunder Plains for this weapon. You'll need to activate 3 of the Cactuar stones spread among the area both north and south of Rin's Travel Agency by pressing the Square button. Once you activate 3 of them, find the Cactuar ghost flying just above the ground at Thunder Plains South, and follow it to a small, ruined lightning tower on the right. Press square there to send a bolt of lightning up the tower, revealing a treasure chest holding the lance (after a cool light demonstration, heh).

Lulu

Onion Knight

Venus Crest

Time to do a little planewalking! Travel back to Guadosalam, where you'll find some hidden commentary. Return to the Farplane, where you'll see a treasure chest lying around in the southwest portion of the platform.

Venus Sigil

To get this item, you have to evade lightning by pressing X on the Thunder Plains 200 times in a row without being hit. This is quite a feat... But I found a really good hotspot, that will help quite a bit. First, return to Thunder Plains via airship, and walk to the north. When you get to the area with the save sphere, walk a little to the southwest, by the character. Walk in between the two small crater-like impressions over and over again to find lots of lightning that comes in a pretty even schedule. If you do this for a minute or so and it doesn't happen, walk east-southeast to the other cactuar stone. Once you're striked once from there, go back to the other cactuar stone, and the lightning should start striking. Once you get away 200 times, return to the Bilghen Memorial Travel Agency, go inside, the come back out and open the chest revealing this sigil.

The Doll

Now return to Baaj Temple (Airship Coordinates: X: 15 Y: 60) and dive underwater. Swim towards the doors to the north and defeat Geosgaeno. The best way to get rid of this menace is by equipping your party with armor bearing protection against petrification and death. Cast Hastega and Protect on the party, and be sure to use everyone's Overdrives, even the aeons'. After that, search the southern part of the circular underwater area to find a treasure chest containing the little knight.

Rikku

Godhand

Mercury Crest

Okay, from the start of the Sanubia Desert, go up and exit that area to the one with two new exits. Go through either one to arrive in the area containing the Crest. But for now, go ahead and take the left one. After arriving in the next area, be sure and hug the wall northwards. You will find a weird secluded section of the desert that holds the treasure chest that contains the Mercury Crest.

Mercury Sigil

You need to complete the Village of the Cactuars subquest before you can get this. Once you finish it, you'll find the Sigil in a treasure chest in the now revealed Cactuar Village (a sandstorm used to hide it) in the Sanubia Desert. (For more info on the Cactuar sidequest, check out the "Cactuar Village" section of my site)

The Glove

Return to the airship and enter the password "GODHAND" to open a secret location at Mushroom Rock. Go there and then move north to the end of this ravine. Use the Celestial Mirror on the symbol embedded in the rock face to reveal the weapon.
