Pictures of games fought long ago and far away!

Larry Brom advances his troops into the woods on the left. Taken at the game table in Larry's garage, some time in 1977. Amazingly, Larry, since relocated to North Carolina, and now (in 2005) to New Orleans, still looks very much like this!. He has that same intensity when he games.

Close up of Federal infantry closing in on a suspiciously european-looking fortified farmstead. Forces of Larry Brom, Mike Lowry and Jay Stribling can be identified among the attackers. the defending troops can be identified as belonging to Robert Whitfield and Mike Lowry. Photo probably taken around 1979.

Mark Stevens (in striped shirt) and Tyler Mann as French commanders in a massive Napoleonic game. Note the ashtray on the table. We don't see that at our games anymore! Photo taken at Larry Brom's garage, date uncertain, probably late 1970s.

Mike Lowry looks confident as a French commander, assailed by the Russian hordes in a Napoleonic game at (where else?) Larry Brom's garage in the late 1970s.

A 1972 game at the home of Jim Pitts' parents on Hillside drive in South Jackson MS. Gamers on Left side of table: Jay Stribling, Unknown gamer, Marshall Jones (standing). Gamers on right-hand side of of the 12-foot long table were: Mack Fulghum (bending over), Tim Chadwick (barely in images, to right). This was a big, BIG Napoleonic game using our (Mainly Airfix) 25mm armies, and our old "House Rules" for Napoleonics.
