League Rules
LEAGUE STRUCTURE
  • Commissioners: Cory G, Andy Mac
  • Teams: 11
  • Scoring: Rotisserie
  • Rosters: Keeper
  • Max Players On Active Roster: 20
  • Trade Deadline: March 7th
  • Trade Reject Time: 2 Days
  • Starting Positions: PG,SG,G,SF,PF,F,C,C,UT,UT
  • Bench Positions: 8 bench, 2 ROOKIE ONLY spots
  • Max Games Played: 820 - 82 per position slot

    ANTI-TANKING RULES
  • Obvious Tanking Will Not Be Tolerated & Will Cause Commissioner Intervention

  • Minimum Games Played: 800
    1. A Team will Lose 1 Draft Spot If They Fail to Meet Requirement
    2. Team Will Continue to Fall 1 Draft Spot For Every 5 Games Under Requirement.
    3. Lottery Teams Will Will Drop out of the Lottery Process - Replaced Team Will Take Position in Lottery
  • The +15 Rule
    1. If a Team Goes Above +15 In Games Played Projections At Any Point - GM Will Have 3 Days to Get Under the +20 Projection in a COMPETITIVE fashion.
    2. After This Time, Commissioner May Intervene On Daily Roster.
    3. If Team Then Goes 20+ Games Again during that same season, Commissioner Will Control Lineup Until It has Been Resolved & Team Will Drop 1 Draft Spot.
  • The -20 Rule
    1. If A Team Reaches -20 Games Projected At Any Point, GM Has 24 Hours To Get Active Players In Lineup
    2. GM Must must get Team back under the -20 Projection in a COMPETITIVE fashion.
    3. If Team is Still Under -20 Games Projected After 24 Hours & Has Failed to Make Necessary Lineup Changes, League Commissioner Can Intervene & Make Lineup Changes
  • The -6/+6 Rule
    1. If A Team Reaches -6 or +6 Games Projected At Any Position, GM Has 72 Hours To Begin to Correct Situation.
    2. GM Must must get Projections within the rules in a COMPETITIVE fashion.
    3. If Team is Still outside the required Projections After 72 Hours & Has Failed to Make Necessary Lineup Changes, League Commissioner Can Intervene & Make Lineup Changes
  • Benching Players In a Fashion That Suggests Obvious Tanking
    1. If A Team Keeps Player/Players on Bench Who Give the Team Best Chance at Improving Standings Points, They Will be Notified by Commissioner (This will be decided by both Commissioners in Agreement).
    2. If Team Continues Benching These Players, Lineup may be Frozen & Commissioner Can Make Lineup Changes
  • Maxed Out Positions: No Team Will Keep Players in Spots Where 0 Games Remain
    1. If A Team Keeps Player/Players in these Spots Who Give the Team Best Chance at Improving in Standings, They Will be Notified by Commissioner (This will be decided by both Commissioners in Agreement).
    2. If Team Continues to Keep Players In These Spots, Lineup may be Frozen & Commissioner Can Make Lineup Changes
  • If Tanking Persists
    1. Team Will Lose 1 Draft Spot.
    2. Team Will Fall To the Last Pick of Each Round.
    3. Team will lose picks.

    ROOKIE & FA DRAFT

  • Structure
    1. Draft will always be held in mid-late October.
    2. Rookie Draft Will Consist of 2 Rounds, Followed by 1 Round FA Draft.
    3. Rookie Draft Order Will Be Determined By Previous Years Final Standings Outside of Top 5 Picks (See Rookie Draft Lottery)
    4. Draft Order Outside of Lottery Will Be Based on Inverted Standings.
    5. After the 2 Rookie Rds There Will Be a Free Agent Rd (2006)
    6. FA Rd Order Is Also Based Solely on Inverted Standings.
    7. In Case of a Tie in Standings: Teams Will be in Head to Head Competition in the 15 Categories
    8. Rookie Draft Eligible Players Have to Have Been Apart of Year's Draft Class, Even if Undrafted or Foreign.
    9. Free Agent Draft Eligible Players Can be Any Player Currently in FA Pool or Any Undrafted Rookie from Our Own Rookie Draft.
    10. Teams Have 5 Min To Decide 1st Rd. Draft Pick, If Time Expires Lose Pick, Drop 1 Spot.
    11. Teams Have 3 Min To Decide 2nd Rd. Draft Pick, If Time Expires Lose Pick, Drop 1 Spot.
    12. Teams Have 3 Min To Decide FA Rd. Draft Pick, If Time Expires Lose Pick, Drop 1 Spot.

  • Rosters
    1. Rosters Must be Cut to 18 Players (not counting Euro-Spot) The Day Before Draft.
    2. Cut Players Will Be Eligible To Be Drafted In Free Agent Draft.
    3. Any Player In Europe May Be Signed If Their Draft Class Has Passed - If they are not in Yahoo Player Pool a Post must be Made & Team Must Have Empty Roster Spot
    4. Any Euro-Spot Player Who Signs in NBA Must Be Added To Roster within 2 Days After Day Signed or Will Be Free Agent at Midnight
    5. These Players Can Not Be Counted as Euro Spot & Will Not Be Counted As Rookie Until 1st NBA Season

  • Rookie Draft Lottery
    1. The Top 5 Picks of the Rookie Draft Will Always Be Decided By Draft Lottery (2004)
    2. Lottery Affects No Other Picks Outside of Top 5, Including 2nd Rd - Standings Do.
    3. Draft Lottery Will Always Be Held In Mid-July.
    4. Teams Who Finish Previous Season in the Bottom 5 of the Standings Will Be In the Lottery.
    5. The Lottery Is Based Off Bingo Balls in a Shuffling Machine Being Pulled By Grandma Hill.
    6. Team Who's Ball is Pulled 1st gets the 5th Pick, Next Pulled the 4th, Etc..
    7. Amount of Balls Each Team is Designated is Based Off of Previous Standings.
    8. % of Balls = 7th 40%, 8th 30%, 9th 15%, 10th 10%, Last 5 %

  • Drafted Player Rights
    1. All Drafted Players Will Have Their Rights Held by Teams Who Drafted Them Until 11/15
    2. On 11/15 All Drafted Players Become Free Agents & Can Be Signed By Any Team
    3. Teams May Retain the Rights to 1 Any Player if Selected During Rookie or FA Draft Who Stay in Another Non-American League.
    4. Teams will Hold the Rights Until the Player Signs w/ an NBA Team or They Decide to Release Him.
    5. Every Team May Have This Provision For up to 1 player w/o Counting Towards Overall Roster Total (See EuroSpot)
    6. Drafted EuroSpot Players Rights Will Be Held Until 11/15 of 1st season.
    ALL-STARS
    1. Polls Will Be Open For Voting Each Year Beginning 02/01 & Close NBA All-Star Weekend.
    2. All-Stars Are Tallied By Commissioner Cory G.
    3. Top 20 Players Who Receive the Most Votes Become All-Stars
    4. Each GM Must Select 22 Deserving Players To Be Named All-Stars.
    5. Of Those 22 Players, Each GM Must Select At Least 1 Player from Each Team
    6. No GM May Vote For a Player More Than Once Per Year.
    7. Ties Will Be Broken By Another Vote From GMs
    TRADES

    HALL OF FAME
    1. Each Franchise Has It's Own Team HOF
    2. GM's Can Request Any Player Who Has Played For Franchise
    3. Each Request Must Receive Commission Approval
    4. Commission Will Settle Any Disputes Over Players
    5. Players Can Be In Only 1 Franchise HOF

    ROSTERS

  • Offseason
    1. Rosters Freeze The Day After End of NBA Reg. Season.
    2. Trades Can Begin Day After NBA Finals End.
    3. Roster Freeze is Lifted After Fantasy Rookies Draft at Designated Time.
    4. Any Trade During the Offseason in Which 1 Team Increases It's Roster Over the 20 Limit, Must Drop Player/s.
    5. Each Team Roster Must Be At 18 Before Fantasy Draft (October)

    EXPANSION RULES
    1. Each team cuts their roster to 18 players and leaves 2 players unprotected.
    2. From the list of unprotected players (20),team will pick 10 (1 from each team). The unprotected players who have not been selected will then return to their teams. At this point everyone will have 17 men on their roster.
    3. Team will then select 6 from the free agent pool, which would include people that have been cut in order to get rosters down to 18.
    4. Team roster will be frozen for one week. In this week, teams will be allowed to add free agents back to their teams and get their rosters back up to 20 players.
    5. After a week team will be allowed to add 4 more free agents in order to get his roster up to 20.
    6. Rookie Draft: team will be given the 1st pick out of the lottery (6th). Also 6th pick of the Second Round.
