SC is a real time strategy (RTS) game that takes place in the future on the distant planets in the Koprulu sector of space. There are 3 different teams each with completely different units and abilities. Terrans are the first team. This team is the "all around" type of team. Their units have an equal mix of speed, firepower and armor. The Terran capital is located on the temperate planet Tarsonis. Next are the Protoss. The Protoss have the most powerful units in the game. Their sheilds help protect them for short times without taking any damage at all. They are also the most expensive race. The Protoss homeworld is the jungle planet Aiur. Last are the Zerg. Zerg units tend to be weaker than the other teams but they make up for it by having lightning quick production which allows them to overwhelm their enemys. The Zerg homeworld is the ash world Zerus.
