RA 2 is a real time strategy (RTS) game made by Westwood Studios. This game consists of 2 main factions the Allies and the Soviets. Within each faction are several counties you can select from in multiplayer games. The storyline is that after the Allies rallied and crushed the Soviets in the first RA they installed a puppet dictator as the head of Russia. The dictator was Romanov the descendant of the old Romanov czar dynasty. Seeing Russia in ruins during his childhood angered him and he vowed revenge on the Allies. He formed the World Socialist Alliance a conglomerate of communist nations. Secretly he began building up a mighty military machine with the help of other communist nations. When a civil war breaks out in Mexico he sends some troops to help stop the war. This is seen as routine by the United States. However when Russian troops start pouring into America the Americans realize what has happened. The Soviets quickly conquer much ground with their new psychic technology and in the process disable the United States nuclear capabilities. However the Americans have a few new tricks to keep the Soviets busy. Its up to you to decide who rules America the blood thirsty Russians or the democratic Americans.
