First off you need 2 comps side by side so you can see both monitors and use both mouses. And 2 diablo II cd's
1. Join game with your char that has items to dup,get friend to sit in room and hold items just incase you can't rejoin.
2. Join chat room with the same account and char.
3.Type in any game to join with chat room character and hit join as you see the character has joined game on the screen , have the save and exit already up ready to click in the game with friend and exit it quick .
Timing is the key so try different times.
there are other ways to do it but this way works.
Chating Tip
Chatting while playing Diablo II is generally very easy, you just hit Enter and type away. However there are some times when you can't chat, namely when you are at your stash, with it open on the left and the Inv open on the right. Enter doesn't work then, but oddly enough the "N" key does. Normally "N" is useful to clear all messages from the screen, but when at the Stash it opens a chat window. Whether this is a bug or intentional is unknown.
Korean Trick
Theres a nice little bug to get the koreans out of your games.
( While in a game )

2. type ................................ till it stops.
3. then hit enter , they should go bye bye.

Gambling
Prefixes and Suffixes: When you gamble you can get Ilvls that are 3 lower up to 6 higher than your Clvl. The actual formula is -5/+4, with a +2 awarded when the modifiers are chosen. The way this works is when you click on the gambling NPC, the game randomly picks a number from the -3/+6 range, added or subtracted from your Clvl, and that's the highest possible Ilvl any modifier can be on anything you gamble that visit. The number is re-rolled every time you click on the gamble NPC, but as there's no way to know the number or predict it, there's no way to choose wisely. Note this is the highest possible Ilvl, it's not in any way a guarantee that you will get a mod of that Ilvl.
This means that if you are Clvl 35, when you gamble you'll have a max possible Ilvl of 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, or 41. Again, this is the highest possible level; you can be Clvl 99 and get a Rare with 6 modifiers under Ilvl 10, it's all random. So if your Clvl is 6 levels below the Ilvl of a desired modifier, you have just a 1/10 chance of the gamble NPC allowing you to gamble at that Ilvl. And then of course you have very long odds to get that desired modifier on a gamble.
As you can see, you will gain 10% on your odds of getting the desired Ilvl each level you advance. If you are 5 below it, you'll have a 20% chance. Four below = 30%, 3 below = 40%, etc. You need to be 3 Clvls above the desired Ilvl to be guaranteed a gamble that would possibly get you that modifier.
For example: The most frequently lusted-for gamble is +2 skills on an amulet, which has an Ilvl of 90, the highest of anything in the game. This is possible at Clvl 84, but then you have just a 10% chance of the NPC allowing Ilvl 90 gambles. Add that to the frequency of them having an amulet to gamble, and the odds of then getting a +2 that you can use on the amulet. It's extremely unlikely.
You need to be Clvl 88 to have a 50% chance of getting an Ilvl 90 gamble, and Clvl 93 to be guaranteed an Ilvl 90 gamble. The odds are still very long though; you're lucky to get an amulet every 10 NPC visits, and then you have at best a 10% chance of a Rare, if you are holding all three unique amulets. Consider that +1 to skills is Clvl 30. So every single amulet you have ever gambled with a character that was over Clvl 33 has had a chance of having +1 to skills. How many good rare +1 skills amulets have you ever seen? (Very very few, unless you are extremely lucky.) Now consider that there are 13 more modifiers possible by the time the Ilvl 90 +2 skills come in, which further cuts your odds.
Uniques: Lots of gambling is for Uniques or occasionally set items. In these cases you just need to be a high enough Clvl for the item type to appear. If you can gamble on an item type, you can get the unique (though you'll get tons of magical, set, and some Rares more often than the unique). Uniques have about a 3% chance of appearing on a gamble, but the key thing is that uniques won't appear if they already exist in the game. So if you or anyone else in a game has that unique item, either equipped or in Inv or the stash, it won't appear from a gamble or a drop. (There are very rare exceptions to this rule, where some uniques will gamble when in the game, but it's extremely uncommon. Note that rings and amulets vary somewhat, since there are 3 uniques of each. They only appear in a set order:
Rings: Nagelring > Manald Heal > Stone of Jordan
Amulets: Nokozan Relic > Eye of Etlich > The Mahim-Oak Curio
So you must have the Nagelring to gamble a Manald Heal, and must have them both to gamble a Stone of Jordan. The Amulets work the same way, see our Unique Jewelry page for a full explanation.
The uniques not appearing twice can be used to your advantage if you are gambling Rares. Rares should be around 7% of your gambles, while Uniques are 3%. But if you gamble an item that was to be the unique, and you have it already, it will appear as a Rare, thus giving you a 10% chance at gambling a Rare. This is useful for gambling affordable things like belts, gloves, and boots. Hold the unique in your stash or Inv or Cube, and rather than getting another one from the gamble, you'll get a rare that may or may not be useful.
Set Items: They do not work like Uniques; you can gamble or find them even if they already exist in the game, and they generate much more often when gambling than Rares or Uniques, around 10% of the time. This can also be annoying, since you will often gamble the same set item repeatedly while trying to get a unique or good Rare, and there's nothing you can do about it.
