On burst first the G11 was able to have 3 rounds out of the gun in about 60 milliseconds, compared to 130 milliseconds between only the first and second round on full automatic, this meant that before the recoil could cause the rounds to go off target, ( due to the mechanics of recoil on the relationship between the rifle and the shoulder of the firer ), the 3 rounds would be on their way, resulting in rather enhanced probability at even 100m of the rounds hiting their intented target. With any other conventional automatic weapon this was impossible due to the physics involved. This weapon uses caseless ammunition.
