5/4/05 - Got a new domain name - www.halloween3d.tk. Makes the site easier to remember. The major coding on the game is pretty much finished, so I'm moving back into level design. I've been building houses to put in Haddonfield. Here's one I made today.


4/30/05 - The game is getting better every day. I finished the blood code. The amount each victim bleeds before they die is determined by the weapon you use. Hit someone with the hammer and you won't see much; chop someone with the axe and blood will spary all over. I've been spending most of my time on AI though. I noticed more than a few bugs with some of the features I listed in my last post but I've been working to get everything fixed, plus some new stuff added. The game now has stealth, allowing Michael to sneek around in the dark. As long as you stay in the shadows, nobody will see you. If you want to enter a house and kill somebody but don't want them spotting you, you'll be able to cut the power. I'll be adding a time feature too where the game changes from day to night forcing you to stay hidden inside during daylight from the police. Don't worry though, I'll make sure night lasts much longer than the day.

4/25/05 - The weapon and health systems are complete and both are running smoothly. You can switch between Michaels weapons at the touch of a button. It's really cool to see. The gore coding is about 75% complete. Each model will show wounds when you slash them. I'm just working on getting blood to squirt out. The AI code is coming pretty well too. Regular people run from you in terror, while the police patrol the area and will shoot Michael on sight. There's still a lot more work ahead, but my expectations so far have been far exceeded.

4/21/05 - There haven't been many updates since I've been working on programing the game. I usally like to release screen shots but do to the lack of level design and new models, I haven't had too many. What I do have is some exciting news and changes to the game. First off and most important, Michael is now a fully playable character. I've been building a new weapons system for him. So far he can use a butcher knife and meat clever and I'll be adding an axe, scapel, and hammer. There's also a big change in game play. In the past this has been primarly a 1st person game, letting you see through the eye's of your character. Well not anymore. The 3rd person camera has been working so well I've decided to get rid of the 1st person view all together. There are 3 camera angels, all third person. It's looking pretty cool. Right now I'm working on the game's health system and after that I've more into AI and gore effects Click the large picture of Michael for more new screen shots.

2/19/05 - I put a few new pictures up of Halloween -Escape on the page with the new screen shots. The game is pretty big with 5 levels and I'm planning on adding a 6th bonus level at the end where you can play as Michael Myers. The other day I reworked all the music but still have to work on the sound effects. I'm trying to make the atmosphere as creepy as possible.

2/14/05 - It's been a long time since I updated this site. I've been working on the game though and I've been building a 3d map of haddonfield. Pictures.The pictures at the bottom are from the limited release game, Halloween - Escape, which I finished a year ago. I plan on building a whole section on the site for it at some point, as I get it ready for wide release with new models and fixed up levels. Unforently, the entire Halloween 3d game game is not something I can complete on my own, so I'm trying to build a team of deicated people who hopefully like horror movies, or at least want to build the first true slasher video game. I'm looking specifically for level designers, modelers, programers, terrain designers, and skiners. Experience isn't required as long as you would be willing to learn this stuff mostly on your own. If anyone is intrested in helping in anyway, email me.

7/24/04 - I put up some new shots of the police station on the levels page. A bigger update is coming soon.



5/12/04 - Everything lately with the game is going smoothly. I finished building the structure of the police station, and I've been working alot on the lighting lately. Today, I wrote a code allowing you to cut power to the entire building, which is now being lit with florescent lights. Tommarrow, I'll make the emerency lights go on when the others are cut, providing a dark blue light. I also have a code which prevents enemies from seeing you in the dark. You should be able to sneak around a building stalking people as Michael Myers. This stuff should be crazy if I can get it to work, which I have yet to try. First, I just wanna finish the lighting.

4/22/04 - I was looking at that new Michael Myers' skin today, and I thought it would probably look much better if I took those two big lines off his face. I also made two cops with the same model. Check the level screen shots page for the rest of the pictures.


4/20/04 - While working with Carrara lately, I've learned a few new things about 3D modeling. Today I actually went into MED and used a bit of what I learned to update the MED Michael Myers model. Here's a shot of the updated Michael outside in the police station level.


4/12/04 - I did a lot of work this morning on the police station level. I furnished the basement and started working on the houses and neighborhood that surounds the building. Take a look at the new screen shots. The broken images on the site have also been fixed and I finally updated the links page.

4/07/04 - I updated the screen shots section with sof my progress and fixed the ome new and old shots. I've been working on remaking the Haddonfield Police station lately and put a few shots up from the new level, which I think is my best level yet. It should be finished by the end of the week. I also reposted some old Michael Myer's shots and a few other things. Take a look. Hopefully I'll be able to maintain that section now.

4/05/04 - Last week I got Carrara 3d studio and Photoshop 7. Here's a early shot of a new Michael model I've been working on. A bigger update is coming.


9/24/03 - The demo is finished expect for the sound effects and the ending cut scene. I havent worked on either of them though in about two weeks. I've had other stuff to do. The official release date is 10/31, so I might not be updating the site till then.

8/10/03 - I'm back. Actually, I've been back for a while, I just haven't felt like updating. The new demo is nearly complete. Most, if not all of the code is writen. I tweeked the AI up quite a bit. It still sucks compared to comercial games, but compared with the other demos, it's not too bad. I've got 4 different weapons worked out, and a few bosses so far. All I have to do is link the levels together, animate a few models, work on the sound effects and music, and make another cutscene. I don't know how long all this will take, but the worst is over.

7/21/03 - I'm going away next week, so I spent all of yesterday working on that cut scene I was talking about. It's pretty much done, I just have to add in sound and a fade at the end. Since I gotta leave you with something, I put two new screen shots on the beta progress page, one from the cutscene, and another of the motorcycle model I made for it. 7/17/03 - I finished the main game menu the other day. It came out better than I expected. I put in a short intro too. I gonna start working on a cut scene for the beginning, but going by my programing skills, it's probably gonna be horrible.

7/7/03 - If there's one thing I hate about level design it's compiling. In case your unfamiliar with the term, everytime you make a change in building a level you have to recompile. And in complex levels it's a bitch. In the last level of the demo, there's one three story building, two, two story buildings, a system of underground tunnels, a forest, and a few other things. Needless to say compiling it is gonna take a long damn time, possibly weeks. I know because I'm on my forth attempt at it right now. I'm not sure what I should do, should I wait it out, or cut down on whats in the level? Anyways, the good news is that I've now moved into coding and I'm working on something I don't think has ever been done before, (not because it's hard to do, well it is for me, but I suck at programing) Hopefully I'll have everything done in a reasonible amount of time. This is unrelated to the game, but one of my films is gonna be screened in manhattan this month. It anyone wants to come and watch it, email me and I'll give you the details. I'll be there too, if anyone wants to meet and talk about the game or whatever.

6/20/03 - Finally I redid the website so it's easier to navigate. Not everything is up yet, but I'll be working on it over the next few days. As for the games it's self, I'm about 85% finished with level design. I ran into another problem last week though, that brought production to a hault. For some reason, certain walls and floors became passable, allowing you to walk or fall right through. I've got it fixed now and I'm back on track. It still may take a while to code the thing though so I can't make any promises with the release date. (I've made that mistake far too often in the past)

06/06/03 - Truth is, I haven't worked on the demo for a while. Everything was going good, but then out of no where, I ran into a million errors in the sewer level. The outside level is messed up too. I was able to fix the major issues, but the event still tore down my motivation. Hopefully I'll be able to work on it sometime either this weekend or next. Probably gonna watch Session 9 tonight for motivation. I also might be making another film this weekend. If I get it done, about a 50/50 chance, I'll try to post it online. One more thing before I go, I was looking at the achives the other day for this site, and apparently, Pig Farmer Productions is three years old. The site just turned 3 last sunday. I'm glad I've keeped it up so long, but disappointed how I really haven't accomlished a damn thing.

05/14/03 - Though I haven't updated in a while it doesn't mean I'm not working. I've actually been doing a lot of work on the demo lately. I'm a little over 3/5 done with the level design. I haven't even started puting everything together though. I've got some new screen shots of the charaters and stuff but I don't feel like uploading them right now. Maybe next time. The demo it's self though is pretty scary. I remember I didn't work on it for a few days and played it one night and I got a bit freaked out. I'm planing on making an other film soon too. Probably the weekend after next. It'll be a short horror film. The script is 15 pages, but it'll probably be 20 to 30 mintues. I'll try to find somewhere to upload it when I'm finished. 04/05/03 - The other night I was thinking about the Michael Myer's model. I like the model a lot, but the skin, like all my other models, made the whole thing look fake. My solution? Take advice given to me contless times before and use sceen shots from to movies to make the skin. The results...



04/01/03 - By now I'm sure most of you have given up hope on me ever updating this page again. Well I'm back and with a bunch of new screen shots from the Smith's Grove level. Click here to see them. The page might take a while to load, since the file sizes are kind of big, but I can't do anything about that. Anyways my school shooting movie is finished and I'm working on another script. In the meantime, I plan to work on the game some more, mostly since I have nothing else to do. I'd like to release a Smith's Grove demo, just for the hell of it, but I'm pretty low on space in my angelfire account. If anybody wants to host the demo on their server, email me. It might take me a while to reply though, concitering I get about 100 junk emails a day. Anyways I'll see you later.

12/22/02 - It's been a really long time since the last update. In case anybody is intrested, here's what I've been working on.

09/04/02 - It's been a long time since the last update. Thats because production is going a bit slow right now. I've recently been pretty inspired by Todd Sheets, so I've been into to movie making. One day I may put an page for my movies as I get better. I'm shooting my next short film this weekend so I won't have much of a chance to work on the game, but I'm still gonna do it as much as I can. I'll be back some time in the upcoming weeks.

08/12/02 - I decided to finally update the old pig farmer logo with this new one which includes all the horror modles I have. Aside from that theres not too much news.

08/05/02 - I decided to update all of the old horror models using the new one, so over the weekend I made new models of Jason and Freddy. Click here to see them. I really like the Freddy model. It looks pretty professional and the skin came out pretty good. So why am I doing all this modeling? Well I got pretty sick of level design, since it was all I was doing and I needed a break. I'm having alot of fun with these too so expect a new Leather Face model. Anyways, if any one want to use one of these models, excluding michael, email me. I'll most likely never use them and would hate to see them wasted.

08/03/02 - I finished a new model of Michael Myers I've been working on. I think it beats the hell out of any of the old ones. Click here to see the comparison. Like all my models of people, the skin could use some work. If anyone wants to try doing a skin, email me and I'll send you the model.

07/26/02 - Beta 1.2 is out. You can get it on the downloads page or click here. I had it finished last week but I didn't get a chance to upload it until today. I've been doing some work on the school lately and hope to finish it soon so expect some screen shots. I saw Halloween 8 last weekend and I loved it. I'd say it's the best one since part 2 (It's tied with 4). So if you havent seen it yet make sure you do.

6/26/02 - Because of a recent streak of bad luck, I haven't worked on the new beta since sunday. I was almost finished with it but the file got messed up and now I can't even open it. So I had to start over. I plan do finish it up tomarrow or friday and hopfully release it by the end of this week or begining of next week.

6/22/02 - Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been on a break because of finales and lazyness. Anyways, since schools over I have time to do some work. I've been working on beta 1.2 today. I've rebuilt the Myer's house from the ground up, adding more rooms and making it look nicer. I still have to add in the doors and windows but I should be done soon. It's funny how I now can do something that took me months about a year ago, in a few hours. This is your last chance to download beta 1.0 and 1.1 because I'll be taking them down once I get this one up.

05/16/02 - I've been working on the haddonfield elementry school a lot lately. I've been tring to create a replica of the one in the first Halloween. I have to say I've been doing a good job so far except for the textures, which I'll be getting off a a picture of the scene. I just hope I can find a good picture. It might just be me but it seems like every one just disappered from the horror game scene.

05/6/02 - I finally got off my lazy ass and uploaded a lot of new screen shots so take a look at them. I've also been doing some work on the game, mostly on fixing up the clinic. I added 2 waiting rooms, an ER, a cafeteria, and a boardroom. I'm getting pretty sick of level design though, so I might start doing some more coding, just to keep things intresting. I'd like to make a better weapons system and health system.

04/28/02 - I saw Jason X today. It was pretty good, not the best, but woth seeing. I also saw the trailer for Halloween 8 and it looks much better than I expected. I haven't had too much time to work on the game lately due to alot of homework, but hopefully I'll make up for it this week. I'm gonna try and put some more screen shots up this week if I have time. I've also been thinking of making some new camera angles like in resident evil.

04/06/02 - Not too much has been going on lately. I've been working on the barn in Halloween 5 & 6 and some houses. I've alot made my first female model, which didn't turn out too bad. Next I will work on the school. I also am thinking about redoing the Myers house and maybe releasing a beta 1.3. There's also a new link on the links page.

03/27/02 - I've been working since sunday on the clinic. It looks a lot like the clinic in Halloween II. I'll most likely have the first floor finshed by tonight and then I'll start working on the basement. I'm not sure if it has a second floor in halloween II so if anyone remembers please tell me and I'll make one. When makeing the floor plan I didn't watch Halloween 2 so it won't be the same but since this game takes place years later there could have been renavations done explaining this.

03/19/02 - I havent updated for a while so I decided it's time to fill everyone in. I had about 10% of haddonfield completed but I just found out last night that A5 only supports 299 models at a time so I have to redo some of it. This also means the levels must be smaller but I should be able to keep them pretty big. After i'm done with haddonfield I'm gonna start making some of the buildings such as the clinic, the school, the sanatarium, etc. One of my friends is also helping me with the game by making houses.

02/20/02 - I've done a lot of work this week. Right now I'm working on part of Haddonfeild. I've made a few stores and houses. I've also been working on the Multiplayer levels. I've updated the links page too.

01/06/02 - I've only been using A5 3 days and im very impressed with it. I finally got the kinfe to work. It needs more work though. Check out the new screen shot in the levels section. We're #1 in the top 25 Halloween sites, so keep voting

01/05/02 - Good news, beta 2.0 works with A5. Im back where I left off a few months ago. Some of the lighting is screwed up though. I'm not sure what im gonna make the objective of it yet but i'm trying to get the knife to work.

01/04/02 - I might have to redo beta 2.0. I'm getting A5 engine which it might work on so than might be my last chance. Since it's so late I released a new screen shot to keep you guys interrest. I'll update so with more details.

10/10/01 - With school, parties, terrorists, phreaking, and other stuff, I really havent had much time to work on the game. I was trying to program a knife for Michael, but I couldn't get it to work of I gave up. In the demo, the weapon you use looks like a knife but fires bullets, which is pretty lame, but I really want to release it soon.

09/01/01 - Microstuff Studios is coming back! Check out they're message board for more details when they become avaible. The message board link is in the links page. I'm starting school wednesday. Im not looking forward to it.

08/28/01 - I know the demo is delayed but I keep adding things on to make it better. It will hopfully be done soon. I want to thank the people who have been voting for Pig Farmer Productions on the top 25 horror game sites list(we're rank 2), and the top 25 Halloween sites(we're rank 11).
07/19/01 - I finished the script. I uploaded it on the website you can read it here. Tell me what you think. If I get some good feedback maybe I'll flim it, I just need to find two hot girls to be in it. I guess now it's back to making games.

07/18/01 - I took a break from the demo, today. I started writing a script for a movie. It's about two girls alone in a New York apartment. A psyco keeps calling them, saying hes watching them and is going to kill them. It may kind of remind you of scream, but I though of the idea before scream came out. I wrote a short story about a long time a go. I found the story today cleaning my room so decided to write a script. Maybe I'll shoot it this fall. I'll upload the script up when I finsh. Anyway the demo is 85% done and should be up soon.

07/16/01 - Check out the Halloween 3D page. I uploaded the title screen for the game.

07/15/01 - I finally finished updating the site. The menu on the side should work now. The demo is coming really good. I fixed a major bug today. I won't say what it is yet, but it will make the beta a lot cooler.

07/14/01 - Pig Farmer Productions has a new staff member, Luis. He's gonna make some houses and buildings. Im still working on the site layout.

07/13/01 - Im redoing the layout alittle. Don't use the side navigation bar yet cuz the links don't work. Visit the board too, I updated it.

07/10/01 - Good news, for me anyway. Im geting a new bass guitar and amp tomarrow. The Demo is coming nicly. I plan to do a lot of work on it today. I was looking a the broad today. No one really posts on it anymore. Lets get some broad members. Im gonna start some new topics.

07/08/01 - Beta 2.0 is 40% complete. Expect to see it in 2 weeks or less (most likly less). My smallest update yet.

07/07/01 - I did a lot of work last night. I made a lot of models, like a wood chair, a rolling chair, a water fountin, Lights, a table, a phone, a computer, a desk, a microphone, and a butch of others. Michaels gonna be really pissed in this game and really strong. In the next demo when you stab some of the police, they'll rip in half, which doesn't make sense, but will look cool. And when you stab them a few times, they won't stand there like morons, they'll run away. The AI should be pretty cool.

07/06/01 - I begain working on the game again late last night. The next demo should be a lot better. In it you play as Michael in the police station. Im not going to say much, but it will kinda be like the police station scean in the first Terminatior. And don't worry about the lighting, It's gonna be bright. Im looking for a level designer. Check the message board for details. Im gonna put up the new modles now so check the screen shots.

07/02/01 - Hey, Im back from vacation. Before I left I redid Michael and reskined all the other models. Im gonna put some screen shots up. Im also planing to redo the site. I wrote most of the html out on vacation, so now I just need to type it out. Expect a new banner and logo soon too. Im gonna redo the pig in 3D. Im gonna try and write my own 3D engine for the game. It should be a hard but intresting job (I know I sound like a nerd) Check back for more updates on it.

06/25/01 - Strangly the first beta was too dark. It seemed fine when I played it.(look at the screen shots I took, they were dark but you could still see) what might fix the problem is if you raise the brightness on your monitor. But if it doesn;t here is Beta 1.1. It's a lot brighter so you should be able to see. Maybe too bright, but too bright is better than too dark.

06/24/00 - BIG UPDATE, I haven't worked on the site for a while because I've been working on the beta. After a few sleepless nights, and a lot of caffine and headaces I finished. Here it is Halloween Beta 1.0. Now that the beta is done Im taken it easy and goin on vacation. I need it, school was a bitch this year. When I come back in August im gonna work on the game some more. I might make the Haddonfield police station next. Well see ya in a month.

06/12/01 - I was getting to much news so I made a new section, Old News. I also made a message board and im adding a new section to the screen shots page. The 1st floor of the Myer's house is done. I also added the basement. Im working on the 2nd floor right now. I also added more animation to Michael. It looks a lot better now when he walks. Damn finals. I hate studying for them. I might not work on the game again until finals are over because I have to catch up on studing. After there over I have a week and a half to finsh the demo before I go on vacation.

06/10/00 - I did two more rooms, the hallway and the living room. I also did the stairs. Whats really cool is today for the first time I played the game as a character. Cheak out the screen shots I took.

06/09/00 - I've been pretty busy so I couldn't work on the game very much. I did some work on the lighting though. I did the kitchen. I put up two new screen shots of it. One's to dark, one too bright. I'll fix it though. Next im doing the hallway. 06/06/00 - I added some new screen shots. I was getting so many I had to redo the screen shots section. I've been working on the Myers house. I have 3 rooms in. I edited Michael's skin in one of the new paint programs i got. It looks alot smoother now. Im gonna start some new models soon(police, victims, etc) I'll also start working on more houses when the Myers house is done. In two weeks i'll be leaving to go on vacation. I'll be gone for a mouth. I hope to have a small beta out before then so you guys have something to play when im gone.

06/05/00 - I did some more work on the Myers House. The outside is pretty much finished. I have to add bushes though. Im going to work on the inside next. Im gonna do some cool lighting too. Expect lots of cool blue lights like in the movie. Shove-it(Working on the TMC game) gave me a link to some cut scene turorals. Im gonna make some some but I wanna make sure im going to use the curent story. I told some friends about the story. They don't like it. Maybe it's how im decribing it. Im trying to capture the feeling of Halloween. Having a killer in a town. Not knowing where he is. Not knowing at first if he's even there. And when he shows up to kill people driving him away(Like in Friday the 13th on NES). Until the ultimate final battle. I think it sounds cool. You may see a very small beta soon. Just to get the feel of the game. I may make Michael a playable character too.

06/04/00 - I finaly started working on a level. Right now im doing the Myer's House. The modeling is coming good but I need to find some good textures to put on it. Paint sucks for doing textures. If you know where I can find a better paint program or get textures please tell me. Right now Im using the trial version of 3D Gamestudio. I wanna buy the commerical verson but I need $125. I just started learning about the stuff in the world editor (WDL sript, lighting, making doors, etc) so when the town gets done I hope to have alot of cool sript in it. The story I have now requires me to make a 3D level of Haddonfeild. It's gonna be a big job. I also plan to use the sewers. In the movies they don't show the whole town so I'll have to make up some stuff.

06/03/00 - I did a model of Dr. Loomis. I also did the chain Michael chokes people with but im not sure if I'll make it a weapon in the game. Michael can stab now too. After I did the Dr. Loomis model I came up with an idea for the story. Read it in the story section. I watched Halloween today. It really does get better everytime. Im going to start working on making a model of the Myers house soon.

06/02/00 - Today I finished the Michael model. I put on the hands and feet. I also added the knife. To see to go to the screen shots page. I also did another model which will give you a hint of what my next game might be about. Though you can't see it in the picture I animated the michael model. Now he can walk. I haven't started the levels yet but that's my next job. Im also thinking of making Dr. Loomis the guy you play as. A beta might be coming soon. Maybe next month.

06/01/00 - I designed the site today. Last night I finished the Michael Myers model. It needs some work but things are coming along. For some strange reason I did the skin before I put on the hands and feet. So now I have to redo it. This weekend I plan to watch Halloween and Halloween II so I can make blue prints of the Myers house and the hospital. The hospital will be hard to do a model of, but im up to it. I think the game should be set in Hadonfeild but if you have a better idea let me know.
