Alred is your typicall human fighter type. Arogant in his abilities, and a little quick to act given his adolesent age. He typically fears nothing except a woman scorned, and will take the lead in a fight if given the opportunity. If dared, there isn't much Alred won't do. His impulsiveness has landed him in more bad situations than most, and given his arrogant attitude, he is not likely to improve his odds anytime soon.
Alred was orphaned at age 2 when his parents were killed by a band of murderous hobgobs out scouting for slaves to work the mines they had comendered from the dwarves. In fighter style, Alreds father Dalred was slain while resisting the gobs attack. Alred was found 4 days later by the local militia after reports of Alreds father Dalred not showing up for his assigned militia duties. Alred became the ward of the militia, and was raised as a sort of mascot to the men. Thus, he learned fighting tactics and techniqes at an early age, and has become proficient with the longsword, as well as all manner of armor and weapondry.
At his present age of 17, Alred thought it time to test his skills, and left the safety of the militia for a more adventurous life as a wandering fighter looking for work from whatever sources he can find. He will allways be on the lookout for any opportunity to slay gobbos, for the seeds of revenge have been planted with the death of his parents, and his mission is to rid the world of these foul creatures.
