NINE AGES OF TROY
INTRODUCTION
In Antiquity the City of Troy was built and destroyed 9 Times.
Players Build up the city. It is destroyed. Players score and a new age begins.
VICTORY
The Player with the most Victory Points at the end of the 9th Age is the Winner.
AGES, ROUNDS, & TURNS
The game has 9 Ages.
Each age has a certain number of Rounds as listed in the Age Chart.
Scoring Occurs at the End of each Age.

THE DECK
Players share a common deck.
There are 2 Main card types: Events and Buildings.
VICTORY POINTS
Use Poker Chips to keep track of Victory Points (VP).
THE KING TOKEN
The player in possession of the King Token goes first every turn.
Play proceeds clockwise.
SETUP
Shuffle the Deck.
Each player starts with 10 Victory Points.
A Random player gets the King Token.
AGE SEQUENCE
Each Age is divided into 4 Segments:
1. Records Segment
2. Action Segment
3. Scoring Segment
4. Destruction Segment
RECORDS SEGMENT
Make note what Age it is.
ACTION SEGEMENT
During an Action Segment there will be a number of
Rounds as determined by the Age Chart.
During a Round each player will get 1 Turn.
The Player with the King Token goes first.
Play Proceeds clockwise.
PLAYER TURN SEQUENCE
Each turn has 5 Phases:
1. Draw Phase
2. Ability Phase
3. Event Phase
4. Build Phase
5. End Phase
DRAW PHASE
Draw 3 cards. Place them in your hand.
If the deck ever runs out shuffle the discard and draw from it.
ABILITY PHASE
Each building provides some special Ability or Immunity.
Only the first copy of a Building provides a Benefit.
Extra copies of a Building provide no additional Benefit.
The Abilities of the following Buildings are used in this Phase in any order:
Barracks, Palace, Port, Theatre, Market, Lighthouse, Quarry, Library
You may use the ability of each of these buildings once this phase if
you have one or more copies of it in play.
EVENT PHASE
You may Play (discard) 1 Event Card from your hand.
BUILD PHASE
You may build up to 1 Wood Building, 1 Stone Building, and
1 Marble Building.
Buildings are played from your hand. They are placed
face-up in front of you and remain until the end of the Age.
END PHASE
Max hand size is 6 Cards.
Discard excess cards.
SCORING SEGMENT
For each different type of Building you have in play get 2 VP.
If you have the most copies of a single building type in
play get 8 extra VP.
DESTRUCTION SEGMENT
War. Earthquake. Invasion…
Discard all Building Cards in Play.

King E 2 Steal 1 Building Card in Play
Extension E 2 Use like a Building Card to add a copy of 1 you already own
Collapse E 2 Destroy a Target Building Card
Priest E 2 Negate an Event card just played
Famine E 2 Target Opponent must discard 3 Random cards from hand
Trader E 2 Draw 5 cards and discard 4
Prince E 2 Draw 2 cards and take the Kings Token
Barbarians E 2 Target Opponent loses 10 VP
Judge E 2 Discard your hand and draw 5 cards
Plague E 2 Target Opponent must discard 3 Random cards from hand
Piracy E 2 Target Opponent loses 10 VP
