To get the Gold Chocobo you first need to buy the Chocobo Lure Materia which you probably already did in Disk 1, and equip it. Then you need to find the Chocobo Sage near the North Cave in a grassy area amongst the snowy mountains. He'll sell you Sylkis Greens for 5,000 gil(I bought 40) and outside his house you'll be able to fight Vlakorados. Use Steal or Mug to get a Carob Nut(you'll need 3). Find a female just west of Mideel and a male near the Gold Saucer. Ask Chocobo Billy to check your Chocobos. Make sure the female is "great" and the male is "good". SAVE YOUR GAME! Mate these two using a Carob Nut. If you don't get a Blue or a Green Chocobo then reset and resume your game. Keep Doing this until you have a Green and a Blue Chocobo of opposite genders. SAVE YOUR GAME! Feed them both 10 Sylkis Greens and as many Gyashal Greens as it takes to get them to fully like you. About 50 if you don't use Sylikis. Then go to the Gold Saucer to race your Chocobos until they're A-class(I raced the short races on manual. Use the trick of L1 l2 R1 R2 square. It really helps. Towards the end, while you're in the space area, push circle. Guaranteed winning strategy). SAVE GAME! Mate these two with the Carob Nut to get a Black Chocobo. SAVE GAME! Head to the snow-covered Northern Continent and look for tracks on the western shore. You'll find a Wonderful Chocobo here. Make sure it's healthy and of opposite gender from your Black Chocobo. Feed the Black and the Dashing Chocobo 10 Syilkis Greens and the Gyashal Greens and race them to A-class. SAVE GAME! Go to an island to the northwest of the Chocobo Farm (Goblin Island). Battle the Goblins there to get a Zeio Nut . Use the Zeio Nut to mate the Black and the Dashing Chocobos to get a GOLD CHOCOBO!! Now you can go anywhere riding your gold chocobo. You can get the most powerful materia in the game, the Knights of the Round, on the KOR island northeast very close to the top of the map and it holds the illusive KOR. You must go there with the gold chocobo though. Good luck and good breeding
