I was born at the start of the 80's just a few years after the Strawberry Shortcake doll line came out, so I don't remember much of her from my childhood. I have a picture of me when I was just a baby with a strawberry shortcake rag doll in my crib so I guess you could say I've been a fan since I was born. I do remember having a set of strawberry shortacke rollerskates, and my older sister having the Strawberry Shortacke bike. I totally forgot about Strawberry until 1998 when I saw a tee shirt with her on it. I bought it , started buying other strawberry shortcake tees and then got into collecting the old dolls. Soon after Bandi came out with there version of these cute dolls and I started collecting them as well. I stopped collecting for about 5 years when the Playmates version came out. I just didn't like how these new dolls were made. Recently however I saw the Hasbro version and it sparked me wanting to start collecting again. |
